Just off the top of my head, try adding some grey to the wing tips. I'll play with the idea some later today. But a little contrast can go a long way sometimes.

Without knowing too much about the character or what your personal style was, I just went with stuff that I think looks good when put together. I don't know what vet rewards you have or if you have GvE, so if I used anything you don't have I'll be happy to revisit it and find something else.

Sorry, I totally forgot to mention. He's a mutant but his claws are tech gloves. And I'd already put the grey on the wing tips... they only look right one colour if they're white imo.
That costume you've come up with is really close to something I was toying with last night, although I don't have those boots. I've just hit a creative wall with costumes, every one seems to be coming out black and dark red.
Well, as you said, I took a random stab at it. Mutant with gray skin and wings, but tech-gloves with claws, you mentioned how everyone seems to just have red and black outfits.. so I chose black gray and slate blue instead, blue to match the reflex effects :P

Wow I like this look!
EDIT: some matching blue patterns on the legs, chest, and/or boots and I think it would really enhance the look further. Just needs more color variety from the waist down to have an even amount of focus over the whole costume (currently only the head and hands draw the eye's attention). I think color and/or style changes to the boot or belt would do the trick.
Hard to see, but there was a sliver of blue on the side of the boots, a second pattern I was playing with for the boots was the Fat Line that sort of made the boots split in half vertically with 2 different colors.
Try a dark blue for the secondary on the chest and legs. That'll help break up the black/grey motife a bit. Just my opinion here though; I don't much care for the face cover. I've never liked how those things looked.

Well, it may seem a little dull, but I like simple color schemes. And it's not black and red. As for concept, I always figured super reflexes, being a defensive set, could be partially attributed to combining combat experience, with hardened armor in certain points to allow one to deflect blows. Hence, the exoskeleton...

Normally I can come up with a costume that I'm happy with, but when I unlocked wings and started my winged concept toon I just can't come up with a costume that I'm happy with. If anyone wanted to take a stab at it that would be great.
The character is the Black Kite, a winged claws/sr scrapper with grey skin and black wings... apart from that I'm stumped.
Any help would be cool, thanks.
