Demon's Redemption: In need of costume help!

Yes, even I need some inspiration/judgement of my costumes from time to time. Demon's Redemption, past Hellion member and Voluntary Paladin, needs to get a new costume, since it's remained the same practically since I started playing him. He just needs a bit of a change of pace.

So that's why I devised this costume for him. I think I fancy it, but It just seems a tad too similar to the costume of my tanker, Diamondgard. So I need a bit of reassurance here. Should I get the new costume for Demon's Redemption, or keep my current outfit?

Have you tried the padded armor option? The one with the segments? That's a really killer set of armor/texture, I think. I don't know if it'd go with the toon though. Not sure about the spandex on a Hellion/Paladin, really, that's why I say. You've got a thing for those armor gloves and boots eh?

I've tried the padded texture. It just is too modern.

I use those armored boots/gloves, because they are the only armored gloves/boots that allow more than 2 colors on a default color scheme. What I mean is that the texture Armored Plate has a matching coloring scheme allowing for 2 colors.

I know I'm using a bit of spandex here, but I personally think the armor would've made him look too bulky. Honestly, what I'd really like to see are some more armor types that are more accurate to medieval styles, but oh well. I work with what I got

I was going for something that looked sort of like a Knight Templar. Nonetheless, I'll delve right back into COH and figure out if I can whip up anything more unique with Demon here.

Hey do you have access to the vet rewards for samurai armor? The padded armor they have actually isn't modern looking like the other stuff I mentioned, and has a nice texturing below it (which you do not have to use when putting patterns on, though it comes with a nice traditional one too). If you've got vet access, that's a nice set to use. >_> if you don't..... um.... wait a month or two.

Things that irk me a bit about the costume:
- repeated use of the cross, you have a cross brooch in the middle of a cross pattern and the cape is the same color as the cross pattern...pretty much vary that neck line up a little by making the cape black or some other color. Idea is to see that he is wearing a cape from the front (assuming you are using "over the shoulder" option). Changing the color will draw the eye more away from the gold brooch and more evenly across the entire costume without changing your brooch or pattern.
- your red is too dark, if you are going for a Knight Templar look you need to lighten it up some.
- gray could also use a bit of a lighten, but not too much we don't want it to be a bright white.
- Gray colors on the gloves, boots, and belt are taking away from the pattern (blending too much visually). make the primary color of these pieces gold much like the shoulders.

Fix those things and I think you will have an amazingly awesome costume.

Looks great! I love those colors. And Turbo is ALMOST the "coolest"

Well, that was going to be the final design, but I ended up picking up a pair of Winged boots on a mission, and, having seen them once before, I knew they could perfectly fit the character conceptually. Therefore, I gave them to him.

The supposed final design.

What do you think? Should I go along with it? I'm REALLY low on money because of the ingredients the part required.

I think the wing boots suit it perfectly.
