Statesman Task Force Guide

I recently finished STF on Freedom server. This is a short simple guide on what we did to finish:

Team: 1 Emp/nrg def, 1 stone/SS tank, 1 fire/fire tank, 1 grav/rad cntrller, 1 kat/super reflex scrp, 1 nrg/nrg blaster, 1 fire/kin cntrller, 1 PB, all lvl 50.

Mish 1: This is a pretty straight forward mish, just destroy all pieces around tunnel before going down underground. Once down there destroy the rest of the pieces you need and then regroup at beggining before attack Arbiter Sands, do not stay and fight ambushes they will keep coming. Debuff AV and have everyone except lead tank kill the other enemies. Once you killed all them have lead tank keep aggro and make sure you don't get ambushed. Once you made sure everyone is dead just keep AV debuffed and you'll beat him.

Mish 2: This mish is a little trickier. Go past all mobs until you go through first portal then just run past mobs and make your way outside. Once outside go to closest base, like in RV, and you'll see first AV. Make sure you have him debuffed and he'll go down. Next, go to Recluse's statue and in front of it there'll be another AV, use same tactics as before and she'll go down. Next AV is located right of City Hall, by another base. She is very easy and will go down fast. Last AV is directly behind City Hall infront of the stairs. He will cloak immediately after you attack, after awhile he'll reappear and just take him out. Then, retrace your steps all the way back inside the building you started and go through the portal. You're finished.

Mish 3: I can not tell you exactly where to go, but you need to get inside the CoT cave. Once inside pray you have some one with TP and invis, if not you'll have to fight your way through. If you do have invis, have him/her go into the last room, it's a massive circular room you can't miss on the map. Once in, follow lead tank and take out all the CoT around the perimeter. Make sure they are all dead and then as fast as you can kill the 88 thorns and avoid the Thorn Tree AV, it can kill trollers and blasters very, very fast. If thorns start to respawn, regroup at lead tank and start over. Once you kill them all have lead tank attack thorn tree first and just kill it like any other AV. Hint: Have lead take get the glowie and he/she will get a temp. power to take down Dr. Aeon's shield. The reason why lead tank should get it is because he/she dies the hardest.

Mish 4: The first thing you have to do is scout around and find Security Chief? there are several but the real one will only give you acsess to building. Once you kill him get in the building fast and kill the ambush that will likely follow. Once in there are 5 floors for each AV. The AV's will spawn in a random order each time you start this mish (except Dr. Aeon.) But other 4 AV's die the same way. You shouldn't have to many difficulties killing the 4 AV's. Once you get to Aeon have lead tank hold aggro and have him use temp. power. DO NOT kill his clones, they will keep spawning over and over so it's a waste of time. Just have tank cycle through temp. power a few times and keep debuffs on him and you'll kill him with ease.

Last Mish: So you finally made it. OK, clear all enemies until you reach the Arachnos square. You'll see Ghost Widow, Black Scorpion, Cap'n Mako, and Scirocco all in a line. The way we pulled them was to have our kin use siphon power with invis on. Have lead tank taunt and pull him all the way back to the red barriers near the start of the map. If you pull 4 run and regroup, you can't handle them. If you pull 3 including GW regroup. If you pull 3 w/o GW you're good. have lead tank pull them to longbow ship. Go after Black S first, keep all debuffs on him until you kill. If anyone dies have them go to hospital and you'll appear in longbow ship, and just fly out and you'll be in battle again. Once Black is dead go after Scirocco, use same tactics and keep lead tank healed. Scirocco is dead but that leaves Mako. He is easy except once he has 1/4 - 1/5 of his health he'll pop on Elude. Long Wardens have tactics which will buff ur acc. Put on dmg and acc leadership buffs and then give troller some yellows. Be sure he is held before or during his Elude. If he's held long enough you got him. Ghost Widow is alone hopefully. Pull her out of square so you don't aggro Flier and only have lead tank melee, if she gets held have other meleers go in and attack until she gets out. Repeat until dead. If lead tank dies hopefully you'll have back up tank and have him take aggro until lead tank is rezzed. GW is dead, again. There are two ways to this next part. One way is to wait until Flier has gone by and kill all mobs around the statue then kill the flier. Another way is to kill flier first then kill mobs then kill flier once it respawns again. OK Lord Recluse awaits your attack. First thing is first have healer stationed in the air or far away from lead tank. Have lead tank pull LR down the ramp to the back of the statue. Have healer keep tank healed. Everyone one else will go after towers, go after them in this order: Red tower, yellow tower, green tower, blue tower. They are defenseless except for Arachnos repairmen whoo wil ltry and heal towers. They are low lvls and die easy. Destroy the towers in that fashion and then beat the $%@* out of Lord Recluse. (be sure and get an autograph.) Once LR is about dead he will spawn around 10 lvl 54 enemies, kill them and then on LR again. CONGRATULATIONS! You have just completed the Statesman Task Force. Go get your badges and then talk to Statesman and slap him for not helping. Good job and I hope this guide worked for you.

205723: A Different DESTINY
When Soldiers of Arachnos got their names added to the Destiny List, Longbow managed to get a copy of the list and began rounding villains up. But one name on the list shocked them...

There should be no need to kill any of LR's spawns while you're fighting to kill him, especially with one emp, one rad, and one kin.

And I agree. This isn't a guide so much as it's a recounting of your STF.

But it's much more than anyone else has posted. I'd like to see more tactics on GW though. I get this idea though, keep everyone out of melee range so she can't feed off you for heals, but not sure if she will rush someone to heal when she needs it. Just for the sake of killing GW it seems scrappers are frowned upon for the STF. we had 4 scrappers and a tank so were unable to finish her. But 4 blasters in place of that and we would have sailed right through easier.

One thing that we have learned doing this TF about 5 times. For Ghost Widow, if the Taunt Tank stays away from GW and taunts, she won't use her heal. Controlers need to keep her immobilized, or the tank needs to keep backing away to stay at range. Everyone else, including pets, can attack her without that huge heal.

The Tank needs some massive anti-hold, though. A Kin stacking about 7 Increase Densities will do it, but that's pretty much a full time job. Add Clear Mind, too.

The times we have done the STF, we always had at least 2 Rad 'Trollers and at least 1 Kin Defender or 'Troler. Fire/Rads and Fire/Kins work very well because the AoE damage really helps against the Vines.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Independence Port, just west of the hospital, standing on a new boat.

Any other guides or recountings of STF that worked out there? I'm very curious to know.
