Just noticing this since I've been mostly away from the game for several months. I can appreciate those from outside the network feeling it feels 'spamy' to post our daily activities, however, because of the restructure of the forums, namely the dismantlement of the SG recruitment forum, this thread was moved here in order to preserve it and this forum was deemed the 'most appropriate' for a multiple-server SG network.
Again, the intention was never in any way to spam the general forum as a way of getting special attention, this thread was created for the SG recruitment forum, and moved here because this is the most appropriate forum now for this type of thread, as far as we've been told, from what I understand.
Posting the daily activity of the SGs has been a tradition for years as a means of demonstrating that we are indeed committed to being an active and growing network. It was actually because of this thread, I believe, that I joined the Repeat Offenders some five years ago, actually.
Anyways, I can see some may disagree with a multiple server SG network recruitment thread, but I hope you can also see and appreciate the fact that this thread has been kept alive for years by volunteers of the network in order to help keep it active, not some 'bot', so we all can have fun in the crazy themed/syngerisitic/costumed teaming projects we've had.
Good to know some links are pointing to the old forum/website, I'll pass that along (I'm not personally involved with much at the moment, but I do hold a star or two in the network.)

As we explained, this thread was moved from the Supergroup Recruitment forum and placed here when that forum was removed. Options were discussed and this was the best solution for us. Placing individual threads in server forums would mean much more posting and more work for our members that take time to post in the recruitment thread.
I assure you Repeat Offenders is active, after all why would we be responding if we were dead.

 I guess I'm poking a stick in someone's eye but what started this up for me was a virtue sg mate getting a mod pm this year over a sg hosted event thread posted here in general, it was the same type of thing that's updated and bumped in this thread, and when you completely remove the length of time this's been kept alive from any thought equation, that doesn't jive. Because obviously there's some advantage in number of eyeballs passing over an event posted here over the various servers. Logically unless the general discussions section is going to be opened up as a super group event calendar for all groups on all servers, then this sg recruitment and activity thread should be stickied on the three servers where it's applicable. I know for example that tanker tuesday has been going longer then this has with sgs and bases I'm pretty sure on all the servers and as far as I know they don't post weekly or monthly events here but on the server where they happen. Maybe it's time to put the thread and any duplicates required prominently stickied on the individual servers where it arguably should've gone when it was asked where to place it. Or stop modding us when everyone else posts sg hosted events here. |

I'm pretty sure I posted after your post pointing out the dead links with correct links here. Lukewarmdog may have to correct his links but all links prior to his work in fact only a few of his links are broken. |

Basic Concept: Villain VG for Stone Colds SG, with the Coop zones this would make for some interesting encounters. The max use of slows, minus recharge and - acc to create a safe and powerful team.
Build Description: Focus is on Dominators and Corrupters. Corruptors using the power sets of Ice Blast, Dark Blast, Dark Miasma, Cold Domination, Storm Summoning. For Dominator's using Ice Control and Ice Assault. This is a mix and match build requirement. You can have a Fire/Cold or a Dark/Rad or what ever Corruptors. You can have a Mind/Ice or a Ice/thorn Dominator if you would like. We also accept the other ATs (Stalker, Brutes, Masterminds) if they had a dark power or Ice powerset (Dark melee, Dark armor, Dark Miasma,Necro, Storm Summoning) BUT priority will go to Corrputors and Dominators. Other powers that are recommended is any other team friendly power pool (Recall Friend, Aid Others, Stim, Grant Invis, Leadership)

Because this thread is being updated with new information on a semi regular basis and the information is not being posted cross forums I am not considering it a "necro-thread". Basic Concept: All FF & Sonic Defenders, or /FF and /Sonic Controllers. More recently we opened up to Peacebringers and /Energy Blasters. Going Rogue brings the addition of Sonic Corruptors, and FF Masterminds.
* Quick build description: We are built around the concept of safety. So most importantly, members must take their 3 big shields as soon as they are available, and make sure they are slotted up (3-4 slots each). Defenders are strongly encouraged to take at least 3 attacks, and to dip into the Leadership pool (Assault and Tactics). Peacebringers need to take at least one of their human-form shields. Both PBs and Blasters are around primarily for damage output, so they should slot appropriately. They are encouraged to dip into the Medicine pool (Stimulant or Aid Other) to help out their bubbling friends.

Basic Concept: All FF & Sonic Defenders, or /FF and /Sonic Controllers. More recently we opened up to Peacebringers and /Energy Blasters. Going Rogue brings the addition of Sonic Corruptors, and FF Masterminds.
* Quick build description: We are built around the concept of safety. So most importantly, members must take their 3 big shields as soon as they are available, and make sure they are slotted up (3-4 slots each). Defenders are strongly encouraged to take at least 3 attacks, and to dip into the Leadership pool (Assault and Tactics). Peacebringers need to take at least one of their human-form shields. Both PBs and Blasters are around primarily for damage output, so they should slot appropriately. They are encouraged to dip into the Medicine pool (Stimulant or Aid Other) to help out their bubbling friends.

Basic Concept: Villain VG for Stone Colds SG, with the Coop zones this would make for some interesting encounters. The max use of slows, minus recharge and - acc to create a safe and powerful team.
Build Description: Focus is on Dominators and Corrupters. Corruptors using the power sets of Ice Blast, Dark Blast, Dark Miasma, Cold Domination, Storm Summoning. For Dominator's using Ice Control and Ice Assault. This is a mix and match build requirement. You can have a Fire/Cold or a Dark/Rad or what ever Corruptors. You can have a Mind/Ice or a Ice/thorn Dominator if you would like. We also accept the other ATs (Stalker, Brutes, Masterminds) if they had a dark power or Ice powerset (Dark melee, Dark armor, Dark Miasma,Necro, Storm Summoning) BUT priority will go to Corrputors and Dominators. Other powers that are recommended is any other team friendly power pool (Recall Friend, Aid Others, Stim, Grant Invis, Leadership)

Not sure why the same forum rules do not apply to this threads as others....
I hadn't even thought of the spam angle of the thread until SG pointed out the forum rules, and thumbing through previous pages there were many stretches a lot longer then a month where this was dead only to be necro'd by the same person over and over.
Though I'm assuming that is irrelevant to the couple of people keeping this alive, one of whom I swear must be a looping script.
Case in point, all the links in the quote posted just today are dead, even after I pointed out all the dead links in my first post, they link to the old forums that haven't been used for how many years now, four I think.
Which means that even though I pointed out all the dead links in my first post the other day no one has checked for this in subsequent posts.
So as Snow Globe pointed out this is just a copy paste text used repetitively, and no one apparently is even checking for links that have been dead for years.
