An MSPaint WIP

I was muddling around with MSPaint again. I think I'm getting pretty good with the mouse, and it's actually pretty good practice for other mediums.

Anyways, the promised WIP (It's a bit small for now, will be bigger in the final version): D-Rail vs. Thor's Assassin

D-Rail, is my Robots/FF Mastermind (In the Blue/Yellow... Dubbed the "Best Buy Bot" by my friends ). He's a sentient computer virus in a power suit.

Do I really need to explain Thor's Assassin?

Ah the imfamous MSPaint man is here!! Looking good so far!

MS Paint is so frustrating to me. I always like how it looks though, the Oekaki feel. I wish I could've done that!

Awesome drawing I love the whole kind of "messy" look

Posted

Geez, I can't believe you do that in MSpaint with a mouse. >_>

heh, I generally do that kind of messy stuff in photoshop if I have to recreat something and then I make a more clean version on another layer.

Wow! All I can do is draw circles and rectangles...well not draw actually, use that handy little button... >.>

the trick that works for me is to make quick rough strokes and then clean it up later if need be.

Yeah, exactly my technique. Just import to photoshop and voila! You've got something close to lineart. Just takes alittle imagination sometimes (So many screwy lines).

That's the quick and dirty way, of course you can use the curvy-line tool that MSPaint has to get cleaner lineart, but that always takes me longer.

An Update! DR vs TA

And a new avatar, isn't it spiffy?

(PS: The Final version is much higher resolution, I just uploaded it smaller)

Looking good, man! Like the details like the battle damage on TA's armor, tres cool

It's coming out Great!

Are we talking about the same MSPaint here? Is there some secret version somewhere? I didn't know such wonderful things could come from MSPaint! That's awesome, nice work!

Posted

No secrets, just total concentration! And desparation (I don't have a scanner ).

I think this'll be the final update, unless I decide to finish the background (which I might). Regardless, here's the nice high res version!

WOW!!

That came out freaking awesome man!

Very nice job even if ya don't finish the background!

Great job on the little details too like the ripped up cape! You rock at MSpaint man lol!

Thanks for adding TA in there!

Holy crap dude! And you did all of that in MSPaint?! *head explodes*

Posted

how the hell did you do those power effetcts....i dont have a blending tool in my MS paint so [censored] how to those colors blend??!?!?

Posted

Well, I explained in previous threads. Maybe I need to repost my disclaimer. I do the main lineart and colors in MSPaint, but the shading and electrical effects are Photoshop (There's no way I could get such a high res drawing in JUST MSPaint).

So it's technically MSPaint AND Photoshop.

ok lol.....i was thinkin....there is no way lol

Impressive, as always

Same reaction I am having. Something of this quality done on MSPaint is like finding a Picasso on a cave wall when you are expecting stick figure Buffaloes.
