Contemplating Taking Orders...

Ok. Well, I have to admit, I'm having a good time playing around with drawing art of my toons, and my brothers. However, after looking through the forums for the past week or so I've started to toss around the idea of 'going pro', if you want to call it that.

If anyone has any advice in that area I'd greatly appreciate it (via post or email).

Also, if anyone would seriously be interested in my version of their toon I'd like to know that as well.

Oooooor, it's possible the pain meds they gave me for my wisdom teeth have affected my judgement and I'm just need to stay in my "happy place".

Fire away,

p.s. Oh, and off-topic, sort of, I've added some color to Windy. The link is in the Windy - TIP thread.

If your thinking about doing commissions, a profile on deviantArt would get you some business, and you can also talk to other pro artists on their forums, too. My advice would just be to go for it, but don't get in over your head. I've seen many artists get way too many commissions, and have to cancel them.

Wait... You're not a pro!?

Just browsed through the main Deviant art site info. I'd noticed a LARGE percent of people from the site using it, but wasn't quite sure if it was just image hosting or what other purpose it served.

I'll set up an account there this evening. Thanks for the info.

Oh, and I definately plan on taking 'baby steps' into this. Just to see how things go. I'd hate to have someone wait a long time for their art.

Thanks,

8, I like many other would love you to draw one of my toons. I don't have any screens online right now, at least no good ones but I can give them upon your request.

I cant offer any true advice other than the advice that has been said millions of times, and thats to practice and keep trying your best.

As Vest said, one wouldnt see a piece like the one you made and not want to jump at the chance to get one done. So, if ever see an open spot for it, Dark Kerse is never one to back away from being shown in someones elses eyes.

I would be ecstatic to see Invincibelle depicted in your style. I have lots of reference screens and artwork in my DA gallery. If you do decide to 'take orders', I would be happy to claim a place in line. You do some outstanding work.

Oh man I'd love for Night-Knight to be drawn by you, you've done great stuff! That is, if you do decide to start taking requests. And yeah like BAS said, DA is defintely the right place to start if you plan on 'going pro'

Ok, so, I'll give it a green light and get something up on my site tonight or tomorrow with any information I can come up with.

There's nothing about art there now...that's what I'm working on at the moment. I'll post once I figure something out

Thanks for the interest and support,
