the Clinic (Open character-based RP)

((Sorry I have been somewhat absent recently. Work has been killing me and the stress has been affecting my ability and desire to write. I should have prove read the below about twelve more times but I wanted to get something put up, since its been so long since I posted anything meaningful))


Hali and Kia made steady progress back to their condo. Kia’s strength was slowly returning and as it did, so did her anger. Eventually she pushed Hali off of her to walk on her own, though still weakly. She would be yelling at Hali, but her teeth were chattering too much.

Jamie followed them a few steps behind. Hali would smile at the young ice-ling occasionally with an apologetic smile for her friend’s behavior.

Hali led the way into the condo and into Kia’s room. She went to the suitcase and unpacked Kia’s swimsuit. There was nothing overtly sexy about Kia’s swimsuit. It was a maroon and black functional one-piece for swimming laps. If Kia even had a beach or sexy swimsuit Hali didn’t find when she had packed for her friend.

Hali set the swimsuit next to Kia on the bed and started helping her out of her armored leather jacket. Kia wasn’t incredibly cooperative but she did need the help.

“WwwwWhy dididn’t yyou help mmee back ththere?” the shivering Kia’s eyes stared accusingly at Hali.

“Bonbon, if the other fille hurt vous, vous would ‘ave tried to heal. Many of the other heroes can not be rapidly healed. Their bones must be carefully set by doctors, and it would have been wery bad for vous to use your heal in there”

Kia’s head sank. She hated it when Hali was right. She stopped resisting Hali’s efforts to undress her. She wasn’t in the right mood to enjoy being undressed by her friend, and soon was redressed in her one-piece. She had the fluffy white Spa robe on over top of the swimsuit. It was very comfortable. If she weren’t still shivering she actually admit it.

Hali changed even faster with the help of a minor incantation she was dressed in her green bikini with a skirted bottoms. She too put on a Spa robe. She looked over at Jamie and wondered if the girl had anything resembling swim attire. Not that the young ice-ling would enjoy swimming. Any pool at human temperature would feel like she were getting boiled. She just wondered if she would be more comfortable dressed as everyone else would be at the pool area. The trio headed off to find the Spa swim facility.

It wasn’t difficult to find, the Spa had a lovely swimming area, with two pools. The first pool was a longer rectangular pool it was enclosed under a glass canopy but at the far end it was connected to the other outdoor pool. Both the indoor and outdoor pool area’s had their own large hot tub.

Not that Kia was moving fast, but she didn’t stop at the indoor pool so Hali went with her outside. Around the free form outdoor pool there were the standard array of lounge chairs, a pool bar, gazebos for massage and the Spa’s ever present marble statues and lush gardens adding elegant color.

Kia being Kia shucked her robe on a chair and headed directly to the hot tub. She plunged one foot in and quickly recoiled. The temperature change was too drastic and it was actually painful. Hali followed and forced herself into the hot tub. Hali could withstand vast degree’s of cold. Her tolerance for things hot were within human range too but it wasn’t comfortable for her which was apparent on her face.

“Sit” Hali indicated a spot at the edge of the tub, and Kia sat holding her legs out above the steamy water.

Hali wet her hands with in the hot water and started rubbing Kia’s legs to warm them slowly.

“You know its going to be a long time before I forgive ya” There was a twinkle in Kia’s eyes as she said this, and a smirk to the statement. She was enjoying being pampered like this, she wish she could really enjoy it but it wasn’t like that. She also tell that Hali was less than comfortable in the hot water, and could give her friend any extra grief over her sacfice.

A Spa attendant came over dressed in the immaculate white uniform. “Good afternoon ladies. Would you like anything from the bar?”

“Oui, can we ‘ave get a black coffee with two sugars” Kia nodded semi-appreciatively to Hali for the coffee. “and I will ‘ave a frozen strawberry daiquiri” She glanced over to where Jamie was sitting and watching “Can you bring some flavored ice too?”

“Right away Miss” the attendant smiles and left to fill the order.

Ella awoke and slid out of bed. She crawled on all fours to the bathroom where she re-wet the wash cloth with cold water and sat in the dark for a moment. Unfortunately her eyes were very adjusted for seeing in low light. After wetting her face she went back into the other room and with half closed eyes found her sunglasses.

The drugs were helping, as was her remarkable healing factor, but she still had an awful headache. She stopped in front of the mirror and brushed her hair and attempted to smooth out the wrinkles in her track suit that she had napped in. Unable to smooth it out completely she went to the closet and changed into another identical track suit. She didn’t bother putting her sneakers back on.

She vainly surveyed herself in the mirror, a trait left over from her "bad times". If there was one good thing about the white tracksuits it was that it minimized the starburst pattern around her left eye so it was hardly noticeable, making it only a slight shade of grey that was almost unperceivable on her snow white skin.

Her small white fingers played with the torc necklace. It was nice to have a piece of jewelry and the design was minimalist and elegant though it had been designed for a very specific function.

Ella opened her door and staggered a step back from the bright corridor light. She placed a hand up to help shield her eyes even more and bravely went venturing outin her bare feet.

She had promised Sis to show her the gym. Ella didn’t have friends and she desperately wanted some. Friends were something very important to Ella. She used to have some friends. Not that she could remember them, but she felt something deep inside her and she wanted those memories back, and she wanted those feelings back. Ella had sacrificed herself to save her friends from a terrible person. She could not remember this either and almost became a terrible person herself in the process.

She made her way down the corridor with one hand steadying herself against the wall the other shielding her eyes. She pressed the button to summon the elevator waited a few seconds then got in. She was on the top floor. She hated that because of her fear of heights, but Doctor Tyler insisted that she confront her fear by staying there.

Soon an overly loud (to her) ding announced her arrival on the ground floor and she stepped out of the elevator.

She weakly made her way around the corner from the bank of elevators and looked around.

She spotted Whip and smiled her broad bright smile, but stopped when that made her head hurt. She liked Whip she found him funny in a cute way. He was talking with a lizard guy that was at the party earlier. She didn’t recognize the other man.

Slowly she made her way over to the trio.

Void Blazer had had took note of hearing,
Whip: You need to know where something is? Just ask Whip. I know way around. Hmm, could he perhaps...smelling hot water? No, maybe. Could we ask him? Void Blazer nodded to the strange kid. As he nodded, he took note of what appeared to be a strange, albino girl. She looks so young, hmph, how old could she be? Do they ACTUALLY let children go unnattended without adult supervision?

Void Blazer motioned to the two near him and gestured towards the approaching girl. After noticing her sudden smile after seeing Kruth and Whip, he looked over to Kruth'T and whispered , "Say...do you know her Kruthy, she seems to recognize you." After a few seconds he realized she seemed to be going at a slow pace, she appeared to suffer from some sort of pain. Sounding concerned, Void Blazer looked over to his two friends and asked, "She looks hurt...we are under the assumption that she is coming to see us, maybe we should do her a favor, and come to her perhaps?"

Convinced it was a genius idea, Void Blazer strode over to the girl, and with a wave came over and said as cheerfully as possible, "Hello, we are the Void Blazer, who are you?"

Upon seeing Ella, Whip waved back at her. Granted, he had no idea who she was, but a friendly face was a friendly face and Whip never passed up a chance to make a new friend. When the two-person suggested that they go over to her, Whip didn't even have to wait for him to finish the sentance-mostly because Whip had already started moving over to her, by way of the exposed pipes above them-they reminded him of tree branches in a way, just colder.

"Hi," Whip said as he landed back on the floor, much like a cat, or possibly a monkey would do, just with a little less balance than one of said animal would have. He hoped that he could become friends with this new, white girl-she seemed kind of nice.

Kruth"t was getting ready to ask Kid Whip, about the location of the hot tub when...

This caused Kruth'T too notice the approaching pale human. Kruth'T waived back at her. "I believe she was being carried out of the room we were in while I was entering."
Looks like it recovered from what it ate.
Kruth'T fallowed Void Blaizer, and Kid Whip to the human. "Hello, I am Kruth'T, are you felling better?"

((Ella is physically 18-19 years old. She acts somewhat younger at times. At other times she acts older. She is somewhat of an enigma in that way))

Ella smiled at the trio as best she could without hurting. It was a pleasant smile, though her expressive eyes showed the pain she was in.

She set her eyes on Void first “I’m Ella”

[Whip] "Hi"

She turned to Whip next. She had seen him to running around the grounds on all fours. Ella tried following him occasionally but she was afraid of the woods. It was one of her irrational fears. Not that Ella had a prayer of following Whip unnoticed. Even if she was invisible, wrapped in her energy cloak, her low key pheromone was enough to give her away. This is actually the closest she had ever been to Whip.

((Her pheromones aren’t actually mood altering it is just a smell that the smeller will mentally associate with something pleasant. That is different to everyone))

Whip’s stooped appearance put Ella more at ease. She was used to being the shortest in a group, barely breaking five foot two. Though used to being shortest and liking it were two separate things. Still his stooped posture helped her fight the urge to stand on her toes. She placed a hand on Whip’s shoulder to steady herself.

[Kruth’T] "Hello, I am Kruth'T, are you felling better?"

“A little bit yes…” her voice wasn’t strong yet and she was currently leaning on Whip “Thank you for asking”. Her mind momentarily wandered to the pharmacy cabinet and how to get around the Clinic’s security protocols. She didn’t let the thought distract her and smiled weakly again at the three men around her.

Ella shuffled her feet awkwardly. Her toe nails turned the same color and pattern as the floor tile. The cold floor actually felt nice. “It’s nice to meet you all” she added politely.

"N-ice to m-eet you Ella," Whip said in what could be considered his best attempt at speech towards a newcomer, with those small words that he had nearly forgotten and everything. When she started leaning on her, Whip could nearly recognise her, but he couldn't tell where from. Odds were that she was one of the many that had been in the hospital with him from one time or another-to say that he was reckless in battle was more than a small understatement.

When he heard that she had been unwell, he managed to put one of his hands on her shoulder, to show her that he wished her well too, even if he didn't know the words for it just yet.

Kruth'T glanced at Void, and shrugged.
"I am glad to hear you are recovered" Although, you may not look like it. Ella's normal complexion made determining her current condition, through visual inspection, difficult. to tell the truth he had doubts. Considering her week voice, and that she was leaning on Whip.
"We were looking for the 'Hot Tub', that we had herd of. If you would like to join us we could go there, or if there is another location that would be better for you we could accompany you there."

Void Blazer nodded to Kruth and said, "Yes, do you know your way around this place? Directions would be good for us. On top of that we do love company, it is a big place after all, so it's good to have people to work with, considering we might be here for quite a while." Void Blazer also took note of Kruth saying "I am glad to hear you are recovered." Hmm? What is she recovering from?

Whip smiled broadly as soon as he heard the words 'hot tub.' He knew where that place was, although he didn't much care for going inside, he could still find the place easily enough with a little help from his nose.

"Whip know where that is! You follow, you follow!" Whip said as he turned and began to walk out of the building, while inadvertedly dragging poor Ella behind him. Still, that was the price of leaning on Whip-you'd either get dragged on some crazy mission, or you'd end up in a heap.

((Sorry for the small amount of pp there, but I couldn't resist.))

Void Blazer frowned beneath his mask as he saw Whip go down the hallway, dragging Ella. Oh my, she could get hurt!. Realizing Whip wasn't going to wait for us he looked towards Kruth'T and said while walking at a fast pace to keep up with Whip, "Come on Kruthy, we apparently have little time to waste!"

Ella smiled at Whip and placed a hand gently over his, partly to reassure his gesture, and also to help steady herself. When she did so her fingernails changed color to match Whip.

“The hot tub? Which one? There some for physical therapy and such under the hospital, but there are some recreational ones by the Spa.”

Ella thought for a moment. She wanted to find Sis, but actually being able to find her would be difficult. Unless she snuck into the Security Center, but from what she has witnessed of the ever-changing security protocols she didn’t have half of the gadgets she’d need to bypass the multitude of sensors. However if she showed these guys where it was, she might bump into Sis.

“I can show yo…” Her voice was stronger though not yet strong, but she didn’t get to finish as Whip started walking away.
She made it about six steps before she pulled away from Whip and let him go. She had to held her head in her hands for a few seconds until she was steady again

Whip hadn't noticed that Ella had let go. He seemed only to stop every now and again to either check his bearings, or say hello to some staff member who he knew for some reason or another. Soon enough, his feet landed in a pool of water-that usually happened when he was near a hot tub.

"We close. Not long now!" Whip said as he began to slow down to a normal walking pace. He turned a final corner and right in front of them was a large building, the kind where hot tubs would usually be housed.

"Well, here hot room," Whip said as he climbed up a nearby tree. He didn't much care for going into those rooms-it was far too hot for him-but that didn't mean that they couldn't...

“….SAFFYRE!”

The voice on the other end of the phone was far too cheerful. It was describing an ideal suitcase, apparently.

“What-“

The ideal suitcase, it turned out, was small, with lots of empty space for new purchases.

“But I’m not buy-“

It also contained at least one set of high heels. These were necessary, it seemed, to complete the suit.

“I don’t wear-“

Essentials should be able to fit in one pocket. Essentials included a nightgown (flimsy), a bathing suit (triangles with string), and a spare t-shirt (baby tank).

“…Saffyre….Saff…”

The voice continued, explaining that the spa would provide a fluffy robe and slippers and that would be about all that was needed for complete and total relaxation. The voice was very confident in its assessment.

“It’s not a bathing suit! It’s…it’s…leftovers from a Victoria’s Secret catalog!”

The voice on the other end of the phone laughed and reassured her that there would be much more material if it had been a Victoria’s Secret bathing suit.

Sis sat on the edge of the bed in her room and dropped her head into her free hand. This was going almost as well as she had expected. The room at the Spa was nice, with a balcony that was currently in the shade and overlooking an Olympic-sized pool. The staff had provided her with a map of the Spa, but Sis was still at a loss for finding the gym. She’d spent a few minutes trying to find it on her way back to the room, but had had to abandon the idea after winding up at the power plant twice. Her sense of direction was never great, and the Clinic was just throwing her off even more. She’d probably get the hang of it – just in time to check out.

“Saff…is B there? Can I talk to her? No, no…I just need to check something…”

The voice cheerfully wished Sis a relaxing stay and handed the phone off. The new voice was quietly amused.

“B? B…you gotta get me out of here. Please…”

Sis sighed as the new voice answered in the negative. It had been worth a try.

“Yeah…yeah, fine. Look…can you at least send me some clothes? Saff….she…I…I think she raided her own closet…”

The voice chuckled and repeated back the list of items Sis requested, including an extra red shirt for Ella. The package would be delivered in a day or so, but Sis would have to make do until then. With a sigh, she agreed.

“Thanks B…you’re a lifesaver. Tell everyone I said I’m miserable.”

There was a laugh at the other end and Sis hung up with a grin. There was nothing for it now but to wait and try to get her bearings. Sis headed to the bathroom to wash her face and get the last of the war paint off. Redoing her ponytail, she stuffed the map in her pocket and headed downstairs to find the treatment rooms and maybe the hot tub.

<Ella>“The hot tub? Which one? There some for physical therapy and such under the hospital, but there are some recreational ones by the Spa.”

<Kid Whip>"Whip know where that is! You follow, you follow!"

<Ella>“I can show yo…”

Kruth'T started to respond to Ella when Whip began to drag her along his path.

<Void>"Come on Kruthy, we apparently have little time to waste!"

Kruth"t nodded and fallowed Kid for just a moment until Ella stopped, in pain. He waited for her pain reaction to end before speaking. "Perhaps we should go at your pace Ella. It's not as though the hot tubs will telaport away."

Then he though about it for a moment. "Void, do they even have that kinda technology yet on this planet?" He asked in a half joking, half serious tone.

Void Blazer continued following Whip until he noticed Ella abruptly stop.

Kruth'T: Perhaps we should go at your pace Ella. It is not as though the hot tubs will teleport away."

Void Blazer moved back over to Ella and Kruth'T, and trying to join along with Kruth he said, "Yes, and it would be very bad for this medical facility's reputation if someone got hurt IN it!" Void Blazer was getting ready to ask Ella why she was here anyway, but stopped after...

Kruth'T: Void, do they have that kinda technology yet on this planet?

Void Blazer chuckled. Heh, he seems kind of funny for an alien. Still chuckling he said to Kruth'T, "No, we don't believe so, though with the Pocket D and the mediport system, it could be possible." Void Blazer then paused for a moment, "Wait, what do you mean YET? Does your home have that sort of technology? What would even be the purpose of that?"

Ella leaned against the wall ignoring the argument of teleportation technology, especially as it applied to hot tubs. Ella knew that humans did have teleportation technology but that it was still somewhat in its infancy. That is requiring a great deal of power and often resulting in mishaps, which were quite messy.

She was in too much pain for her brain to start over analyzing the technology involved. Which is what gave her the migraine in the first place.

Lady Empathy visited the Clinic often, as her name implies never as a patient. She practically works part-time here, and had a uniform and everything. Her adventuring days have long past. Though she still street patrols providing random acts of healing wherever they may be needed, but the days of street sweeping are not what they once were.

Today was one of the days she was on staff at the Clinic. She spotted the young lady in obvious distress and made her way over easily stepping past the two gentlemen.

Lady Empathy took a knee if front of the small white skinned young lady. Her voice was everything soothing and gentle. “Hello Miss, I am Lady Empathy but you may call me LE. May I be of assistance?”

Ella looked up at LE with a pained expression, but did nothing to object or protest as LE started making a precursory examination.

With a quick scan of Ella’s medical bracelet LE got a long list of treatment information. Allergies (none), prescriptions and drug interactions, and known ailments. Migraines.

“So your name is Ella. I think I can help you dear” LE placed a hand in front of Ella’s forehead and a soft purple glow began around Ella’s head. LE repeated the ‘Clear Mind’ process three times until Ella felt like her normal self.

This was obvious by the return of her bright happy smile and she pushed the sunglasses up, using them as a hair band instead of eyewear. Ella flung herself at LE giving the woman an enthusiastic hug.

LE accepted the hug, in a city like Paragon it was always nice to be appreciated. “That should last you a long time dear, if it starts to hurt again page me”

LE handed Ella a card with a Clinic extension on it, and left with a motherly smile to find someone else to help.

Ella turned to Void and Kruth’T taking each by the hand gently. “Come on we can still catch Whip”

She would try to pull them along but would let go if they resisted in the slightest. She didn’t want to force them, and especially didn’t want to hurt them.

It was a considerable contrast this energetic and vibrant Ella compared to the pained and lethargic Ella from a moment ago.

<Void> "Wait, what do you mean YET? Does your home have that sort of technology? What would even be the purpose of that?"

Kruth'T sighed, "Well, we use it to reduce damage during disasters, you know like earthquakes, natural fires, and the occasional invasion. Also we use it during colonization." He paused for a moment in thought. "I have seen it used by other peoples for other reasons, like migratory habits and such."

Kruth'T remembered that Ella was with them, when Lady Empathy swept past Kruth"t and Void Blazer. He watched her as she gave Ella her treatments, and noted her rapid improvement.

<Ella>Ella turned to Void and Kruth’T taking each by the hand gently. “Come on we can still catch Whip”

"If you are up to it, then lead on, Ella."

After waiting for what seemed like forever, Whip got bored and decided to go looking for the others. It wasn't his fault that he was so fast and hard to catch (although, that got him in as much trouble as it got him out) but it was so hard to slow down sometimes, especially when he was hungry.

By following the exact way that he had come, Whip eventually found the others, as well as a now happy Ella. "Come, come! You take too long!" Whip said as he beckoned the others towards the hot tubs. Why people had to stand around talking for so long still confused him, even though he could probably talk the hind legs off a donkey if he had the words...

Ella took the lead however they didn’t have any chance of catching up to Whip.

Whip however didn’t have to double back very far to find them though. Soon all four were at the Spa’s hot tub.

Kia had finally made it all the way into the hot tub. Though she liked the rub down she was getting from Hali and the warm waters were restoring her lost body heat.

Hali was overheated from being in the hot tub. She was enjoying her daiquiri, and was playing a game of ice checkers with Jaime to pass the time.

Kia hadn’t touched her coffee since it was delivered. When Hali ordered it for her it sounded great, but now that she was reclining in the spa something alcoholic sounded to be more in order.

“Bonjour” Hali greeted the motley bunch of newcomers. Hali’s greeting made Kia open her eyes to see who had arrived. She realized the glowie had nulled out her telepathy which would have warned her of their approach. She was enjoying the quiet though and didn’t completely miss the telepathy.

“Hey Guys!” She greeted Void and Kruth’T. Kia barely even glanced at Whip, though she took her time getting an eye full of Ella.

Ella’s long white hair was always luxurious, even when Ella wasn’t feeling well her hair was perfect and in place with a healthy bounce. Now that she had her energy back it was even more so because Ella tended to bounce playfully with each light step. Ella’s snow white skin was flawless. The comparison to porcelain first comes to mind, without the shininess. The only discoloration is the starburst around her left eye. The starburst actually changes color depending on what Ella is wearing. This helped bring more focus to her large all white eyes, Ella’s most appealing feature. Her eyes were very expressive and usually shone with innocence and mirth that matched her smile.

Kia’s mind started to wander to if that perfect white skin continued under the track suit, but stopped herself, when Hali spoke again.

“Are vous the one that was sick earlier at the party?”

Ella turned to face Hali “Oui c'était I” she responded in perfect French.
[“Yes, that was I”]

“Vous parlez français très bien”
[“You speak French very well”]

“Merci” Ella smiled and blushed the very slightest pink.

“Démuni i vu vous ici avant. Quels sont vos noms ?”
[“I have not seen you here before. What are your names?”]

“Pardon” Hali was embarrassed for forgetting her manners. She switched back to English for the introductions. She hadn’t met everyone earlier at the party.

“I am Lady Halifax, but you may call me Hali. These and my friends is Miss Kia and Jamie” Ella smiled at each one and gave her friend Jamie a playful wave.

“I am very pleased to meet you all, I am Ella, and these are Whip, Void Blazer and Kruth’T”

Ella walked (practically skipped) over to Hali and Jamie to take a seat at the table with them. There was a chilling draft coming from Jamie so Ella tucked her bare feet under herself when she sat.

“Who’s winning?” She asked as she studied the checker board.

Whip was initially nervous to go into the hot tubs, but at the same time, he didn't want to be alone outside, so he quickly dashed in and climbed up as high as he could, away from the steam and heat. Sure, he could hold his own against scores of undead, mechanical fiends or even arachnobots-but steamy locations always made him nervous for some reason. He didn't really notice that he wasn't taken notice of when the Hali-person came over, but there would be more time for getting to know people later-when they were finished in here...

As he watched Ella skip over to the checker board, something clicked in his mind...checkers...there was something about checkers that he couldn't quite remember. For once, he seemed to remain completely still as he pondered what this could mean.

After Whip returned, they had all headed towards the hot tub, there he took note of an ice creature, Kia, her friend Hali, and, well, everyone relaxing. This in itself brought a good feeling, causing Void Blazer to say enthusiastically, "Man, I LOVE this place...." Just then, Void Blazer also had an interesting realization, and decided to share it with the world, "Oh my, I can say...well, "I" again! This is great! Void Blazer ran about, and attempted to give Kruth'T a hug, moving about he cheered, "Ha, finally, I can say "me" again! Yes, yes!"

Just then he realized, he also looked a complete and total idiot. Embarrassment sank in, and Void Blazer grew quiet, he also remembered he was in full costume, and there was a hot tub, and he happened to lack a bathing suit to wear, never mind the fact he refused to go without his costume on. Trying to act normal, he just stood in a corner, all the while whistling to himself....

Kruth'T first impression of the hot tubs was decidedly mixed. The steam was pleasant, and smelled nice as well. But there was one small (well not so small) problem...

Still the shock passed quickly, he had been exposed other bazaar forms of rest. Besides, it's not as if these humans would find my people's version of rest any less odd.
So it was no surprise that he had failed to recognize Kia, until after she had spoken.

<Kia>“Hey Guys!”

"Hi Kia, you seem to be feeling better."

Kruth'T listened to Hal, and Ella's conversation. All the while wishing his translator would understand any part of what the two were saying. So when he was introduced he happily chirped
"Hello Hal, and Jamie."

"Man, I LOVE this place...." , "Oh my, I can say...well, "I" again! This is great! Void Blazer ran about, and attempted to give Kruth'T a hug, moving about he cheered, "Ha, finally, I can say "me" again! Yes, yes!"

Kruth'T watched his Friend's glee, and patted him on the shoulder. "Congratulations, Void. I am glad you have reached this point."

Then to Kruth'T's confusion Void quickly calmed down, and moved to a corner, and started to whistle.

Kruth'T found a spot two feet from Kia's hot tub, and sat down. "So, do most humans enjoy this activity?" He asked, while still eying the watter with trepidation.

Ella was studying the checker board intently, but turned to look at Void when he celebrated his “I” moment. She smiled at him proudly at him, though she didn’t understand the reasoning behind his celebration.

“Congratulations Void!”

She turned back to the game and smiled as Jaime ate a checker piece that had been jumped. Jamie wasn’t an idiot the ice-checkers probably did taste good if you were an ice being. This was probably the equivalent of playing a game with Oreos as the black checkers.

When Ella was happy she had trouble stopping from smiling. Luckly she had a pretty smile. “I like your bikini Hali”

“Merci” Hali answered politely, taking a self-conscious moment to smooth out the skirt.

Ella looked enviously at Hali and then Kia wishing that she had her swimsuit. She had on underthings, but the Spa people got mad if you didn’t have proper swim attire. Ella found this out quickly the very first time she found the hot tubs.

Ella’s handlers weren’t happy when she broke the rules, and she promised to ‘play by the rules’ while she was her. They were also nicer about the things she requested if she obeyed the rules.

Of coarse she did test the limits.

Ella figured if she ran all the way back to her room she could be back in about four minutes and thirty seven seconds. Give or take the availability of the elevators. ’oh poo’

Ella just remembered she was supposed to be looking for Sis. Her smile turned into a small pout which was equally alluring on her white face.

“I gotta go find someone” She said standing “I’ll look for you’s later” she added with a smile.

[Kruth'T] "So, do most humans enjoy this activity?"

Kia turned to Kruth’T. “eh?” she was somewhat distracted, but had heard him just took her some extra time to process the question.

“oh, um…I guess. Its hard to say, its kinda considered a luxury, but it is good for the muscles to help relax re-invigorate or sumpting”

Kia studied Kruth’T for a moment “Why do you think its absurd or something? What’d do to relax where your from?”

How do I put this? Kruth'T shifted uneasily. "Sorry it came out like that, Kia. But most of my kind has problems with watter. If not for the training I had received, I wouldn't be able to think in a calm manner at such a close proximity to a large body of watter."

Forcing his eyes from the watter, he focused on Jamie, Hal, and Void. Overhead, he heard Kid's movements. Not seeing the watter helped him to compose himself. Finally, he felt the tension ease, and took a deep breath of the steamy air.

"Mind you, the steam, while a little cooler then I'd prefer, is nice. And it is marginally warmer then it is outside, so it is not so unpleasant." So long as I do not look at the watter. "My people have as many ways to relax as you do. Some like steam, or sun or sand. However, many enjoy warm stones, or stars." Kruth'T became quiet as he glanced up, in hopes that the skies would be clear tonight.

((Gaah! Must...post...something!))

Whip was very much enjoying his overhead view of the hot tubs and listened relatively well to the conversations of his new friends. However, when Whip heard Kruthy mention the world 'stars,' his tail immediately unravelled. Unfortunately, he hadn't noticed this until it was too late to react, resulting in his head slamming right into the floor...and the floor recieving a nice new dent.

"Owowowowowowow!" Whip exclaimed as he rolled upright, gripping his head. It wasn't often that such a situation would have happened, he could usually just thrust his arms out and flip over, no worries...either it was what Kruth'T had said, or that wierd glowing thing that was interferring with his skill, but one question still remained...how did his tail lose its grip like that?

All the while, Whip kept on making a strange, groaning noise...
