first note, the angle of the left foot make the characters legs look like they are moving towards the viewer while the body seems to be moving left. try putting the left foot behind the right leg. Then of course, you'll need the streaks of colors trailing behind the character. I hope this is helpful.

As to the legs. Yes something up there for sure. Just playing around there at the moment. Not sure at all that I am going to use this alternate pose yet. I think I know what is wrong in the original and want to try to fix it first. Here is the reference shot . I think what I am struggling with is the foreshortening on on his right leg. In my drawing it looks like a straight on shot with no foreshortening, so the depth is getting confusing. Thanks for the comments.

On a different note. This one has me set to put my head in the oven really struggling to get this one to s state where I like it. Here's the latest pose. pretty much scrapped the reference at this point but that's ok .

Ya that pose is wicked awesome. You GOTTA animate a bullet whizzing by or something cause that's certainly what it looks like. Sorta like he is dodging the bullet and swining around for a monster left hook.

And thanks to that I now have pulled out all the Cake I own and have it playing right now.

Heads giving me some trouble and I took a little liberty with the head ornaments but what the heck.
