Y'know what I think? Work at your own pace. Don't feel stressed about it. I don't think anyone (Well, maybe Xoxman ) will yell at you if you don't get it done for a while. Like right now, I'm taking a break from my thread.

critique-wise....ermmm...why ya hiding his face...funky growth or sumthin? for some odd reason that lil bit really stands out to me. given pics are usually about the character when you hide the face of said character behind a prop it really can detract from the over all pic....
big ole IMO inserted at this time. ~

I think you should try the face. You're not that bad at it. You could tilt the bow a smidgen so it's more horizontal, and the face would be showing. That's only if you want. It is you who's drawing it.

What program are you using? In Photoshop, if you were using seperate layers you wouldn't have to change much. @.@
I think it would be a worth while change. even if you dont show his entire face...but a good portion. have to remember that a lot of the emotional weight in pics is brought out in the face. the more you can show there the better....again imo.
the pic as it stands I like though...well drawn and I like the overall look. whether you choose to redraw....? well...in the end it's up to you and what you think they would like.
either way...looking forward to seeing the completed piece ~

Ok, what I do is I have the linework layer on top, then I have the coloring layer below that. (I probably have multiple coloring layers, but you get the point.) Below that is the shading layer. All you have to do is go to the linework layer, change that to what you want, then change the color and shading layer so they fit with the linework. You only have to change the part with the bow, and add the face, if you're doing it like that. Not the whole thing.
<o.o>; But... err... >.> I don't have a seperate "shading" layer >.>; I have Lineart - Colors (all) - Background (Black)
<'x'> and thats it.
Also that'd involve digital drawing <;_;> Not my strong suit at all (I do digital color of course >.< but linework + computers = me suck <x.x>

try cutting and rotating the section in question then redrawing the missing pieces and reconnect the rotated parts? just a thought....
...layer wise....you one operate with one layer? wow...I have a layer for base pic, linework, then each color, then each color shaded...basically...I end up with about fifty billion layers....lol~

You wouldn't have to draw on the comp except color and shade... You scan the lineart, then make the new layers.
