Nicely done! There's a few elements I see developing in your style, intentional or not, that are coming to the forefront:
*Clearly hairstyle plays a part in the work, plus the use of rounded facial features reminds me of Jamie Hewlett's stuff.
There's certainly an anime' quality there - especially in the eyes. I am reminded more of Koichi Arai's stuff - who tends to have a more human feel - not the stylized stuff.
Just my thoughts on this...hope it's helpful.

Nice, Derek! I agree with the others: The eyes look really nice, and I also think this is one of your best.
One critique though, to watch out for future drawings, I think the head/forehead may be a taaad to tall. That's all though, everything else looks really nice!

At first I thought the collar's shadow was odd, but realized I had the light too far to the left in my head... moved it more to the front and it made sense.
Good job. Definite improvement.

Thanks guys! I think you may be right about the forehead. I tried to make the hair stand up a bit from the top of the head, but I guess I did it too much.
