Toxa's art

There are two ways to point out faults to a drawing, either via constructive criticism or just being a tool. You are the latter of the two. If you can't construct your ideas in a way that isn't blatently offensive, then you have no buisness in these forums. Go troll up your post count elsewhere.

[edit 1: Just looking at the first page of Bose's post list, most are just 1 liners, with like, two greater than that. One of which is simply "+1." Heh.]

[edit 2: I digress, I'm not going to persue this further and wreck this thread. Apologies Toxa.]

So is this some kind of surreal artwork

Very lovely stuff.

I apologize if this question has been answered and I simply didn't catch it, but are these paintings? Drawings put into Photoshop?

In any case, superimpressive! Keep up the awesome work.

Great job on the art work. I have no doubt in my mind that you pass your classes.

Toxa don't listen to that detractor. *I* think your work looks -GREAT-. Sure maybe it can use a little bit of improvement here and there but really, it looks very very good. Probably better than I can do right now

Keep up the great work and never stop practicing!

If your posts are considered art, then yes, you do it well. Otherwise it'd probably be wise to walk away round about now.

You need to take a lesson in anatomy. It's not possible to pose like that, it looks stupid.

oh my god look at the direction the upper body is facing compared to the torso

its so bad

Um, Bose, I'm pretty sure I'm not presuming here when I say I speak for the community. Critiques are welcome. Outright insults are inflamitory and completely unproductive. If you are seeking to start an argument, you have begun in the right fashion. Frankly, though, that's not what these forums are about.

This is a place of artists of all ability levels to share and encourage each other, and honestly, while classes certainly are a boon to any artist, I think Toxa has some great and creative artwork here. Comic book artwork, if you look at it, is not necessarily about what the human body CAN do, but you what you can imagine it doing.

So, basically, I'm askin' you, politely as I can, to be more tactful.

Bose, at first I thought you were JOKING. That's not very nice. The pose isn't perfect anatomy-wise, but it's not supposed to be. It's a comic book style. Even if it was supposed to be perfect anatomy-wise, you don't have the right to tell her it's awful. Critiques are a totally different story. This is just plain mean.

Great work on the shading/highlights.
I also get a kick out of Toxa's dye job.

You do realize that the right breast is facing us (almost black) and the one in the light is the left one. Right?

And Toxa ... great piece. I love the background ... the lightning and those clouds look wonderful. If you made it ... great job ... if you picked it ... great choice.

I love all the purple reflections on her clothes and the look on her face.

As I was saying ... great job.
