Dang, that's cool. You sure do some nice work, Doug!

Do you do your final rendering in Poser or do you usually render in a different package like Lightwave?

This is really an amazing bit of work!

yup...sometimes a picture is more than just displaying the character in question. the idea being that the viewer "knows" who is being pictured...as such seeing the actual suit design is not a priority. in this case the pose and "feeling" is.

are there better options for displaying the actual symbol and showcasing the suit? sure...but I wanted something different and something that Doug was interested in trying out.

as such, any ritiques regarding perspective on this piece fall ta me....as it was ultimately my choice. a choice by which I still stand as it is what I was looking for

that said...dont be surprised if you see another version of whiteperegrine from Dog in the not so distant future. given we have some posibilities for different posing worked up that is a step we can basically breze through......

...of course this is assuming Doug is willing to work with me again in the future ~

Doug, I'm a fan. WP, the most important thing is you're happy with it. No need to justify it to me.

Eh, don't mind me... you guys are just getting some blow-by from bad crap in my life. I'll be shutting up now.

Cheers.

heh...no worries, I didnt think anything of it. while I may have provided a lil explination, that all it was so you knew why I choose to have Doug go the way he did.

critiques and questions are good things. no to mention, we all have different tastes.

hopefully things take a turn for the better soon for ya...in the mean while your always welcome here. hell...almost like [u]Cheers[u] here...except we lack a bar. ~

I was hoping to capture the freedom of flight, or at least the individual character's moment of joy in his wings. I've been looking forward to wings for over 2 years when they were intended to be part of a winged-AT... so having them finally coming to the players is something I've long anticipated.

That's why the costume was a little less important; White Peregrine represents every hero who's wanted wings.

Though I wish and wish
and try and try
I cannot fly.
I envy the birds
and their place in the sky.
But one day soon
my wish will come true
and on that day
I will fly and fly.

Into the distance, a ribbon of black
stretched to the point of no turning back
a flight of fancy on a wind swept field
standing alone my sense reeled
a fatal attraction holding me fast, how
can I escape this irresistable grasp?
can't keep my eyes from the circling sky
tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I
ice is forming on the tips of my wings
unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything
no navigator to guide my way home
unladened, empty and turned to stone

a soul in tension that's learning to fly
condition grounded but determined to try
can't keep my eyes from the -circling- skies
tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

above the planet on a wing and a prayer
my grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air
across the clouds I see my shadow fly
out of the corner of my watering eye
a dream unthreatened by the morning light
could blow this soul right through the roof of the night

there's no sensation to compare with this
suspended animation, a state of bliss
can't keep my mind from the circling sky
tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

Just thought this poem was appropriate considering everyone's anticipation of wings. Also, I thought it fits WP's piece perfectly.

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings,
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Whhy do you think i made the griphon girl one shot?

Wing damn it, i was able to get dreamer wings for my Daz/Poser/Hexagon/Bryce Studio (yes i have all 4) and i jsut had to make a winged hero.

Grif Girls original design was to be a flying catgirl but well with wings i went with a griphon.

Now a bit more on topic.

Ah Dystopia i love that city. I've used its clean modern/post modern look for a futiristic pick of Nala with a mini gun hunting a rampaging T-Rex, the griphon girl, and for a driving scen in my web comic.

Destopia is such a great city and really makes the city feel like a paragon of a city in your render.

The dreamer wings in the up curll posiion look really smart. Expecially translucent like that.

Di you discover that you had to hee moving them around on his back when you changed posses? I noticed that when i did griph girl.

What did you do the spandex with? Did you paint WP's nude model or or use Superhero Complete?

Is the mask morphing Face mask or something else?

and am i mistaken is that Wedge cut hair?

And what are those arm thingies?

ITs a great composition and i'm curious to the elements used.

Nope. The wings were aligned straight with his back and parented to his chest, so whenever the core figure, the wings moves with him.

I prefer the Ultra Bodysuit because it has wrinkle morphs already built in. IMO, wrinkles help 'sell' the image.

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

It's a full face mask. It was originally for Spiderman, but I re-textured it to be White Peregrine.

His arm wraps are from a DAZ model. It's called The Scout. Same with the boots.
