..agree with Serengeti, a good start.
critiquewise: look at making the head more oval versus egg like...unless the fella is super skinny. that would be the biggie for me at the moment. otherwise its just that age ole song of practice and yet more practice.
eitherway, looks good thus far, now just have to finish it off ~

Yes, I have to agree it's a great start!
In order to make this or other characters a bit more 'heroic scale' you may want to make them 1 or 1.5 heads taller. Right now he's 6, which is very human. Extend the legs a little (keep the hands falling just over the middle of the thigh or just below the hips) to give a little more of a 'heroic' proportion.
Otherwise: hands, dude, you've got hands nicely done. They're usually THE hardest things and it looks like you tackled em really well.

Er, rather strange comment, buut~ The crotch rides really high for baggy pants especially. And as WP said, the head should be less egg shaped. It's really good though, just playing critique here.

I figure I want to start bettering my artistic ability. Been looking through Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain once more and starting to start the various litlte thing sin it again.
There is one peice, out of all my previous work, that I felt was done even close to adequately. So, here I am sharing it and asking for critiquing of it and suggestions!
