Wouldn't he be better as a villain?
Well, he could be just cynical because of something he saw a hero do that was borderline villainous, and decided to be a hero as an example.
Or he could just like to kick [censored] and being good is cheaper >.>

he's a hellion in spandex.
I've got it!
He hates the world because the world looks down on him because he used to be a Hellion! However, his gang did something that he couldn't forgive so he's gone good to try and make up for said horrible act. Probably sacrificing children to demons or some such thing. But since he used to be a Hellion, very few heroes actually trust him, giving him a very negative outlook on the world. Since it's easiest just to hate right back, he does so while trying to prove that he's as good as any other hero.
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.

Fire-slinging hotheads who hate the world. 
Anyway, thy're a NPC gang with fire powers who worship hell (duh) and try to summon demons...though they never quite get it right and nothing ever appears. 
They're also in a bitter feud with the Skulls, another street gang.

They summon one up in CoV, I think. But then you beat them down like the dogs they are.
They wear orange and red a lot, wrestle with grammas for purses, etc.
