Save me from myself <;.;> I ARE STUPID
The arms are waaaay too skinny They look broken because you're only drawing the skeleton, give the poor girl some muscles! Even the scrawniest person needs something to make their body move with!
egad <_ _> lol, what a stupid mistake... now to figure out how the hell to fix it... Don't suppose you have any suggestions? <~.~>;
I'm hoping I don't have to draw it a 3rd time (I will If I gotta <>.<> but if I can avoid it >,<

I agree with Star. You need to get some meat on her bones! It was often a mistake of mine to try to make girls 'skinny' earlier and to have them turn out anorexic. What helps me sometimes is to look in the mirror (yes, even for female characters) and just get basic ratio ideas between different body parts. For example, I may look in the mirror and compare the width of my arm to my torso and think "okay, each arm should be about x% of my torso width" or something similar. I don't always follow that if they still look wrong though.
Hmm... I just noticed something odd with her legs. Her knees seem a little low. From her knee to her waist is about the length of my index finger. Her knee to her foot is about the top half of my index finger. (I *do* like the detail you put on her leg armor though. Very cool! Okay, looked again, the flowing cloth of her cape, skirt, etc is awesome as well.)
Something else I've experienced is the feeling of inadequecy when trying to draw a "good" picture for a friend. I can get intimidated and stop having 'fun.' I just slam into a mental barrier repeatedly. You may want to try to cool down and draw something else, even just random doodles to free up your mind and try to work out the stress. I draw a lot better when it's fun than when it becomes work. That may help you, I don't know.
Sorry, was getting sidetracked... Anyways, the big thing I'd change though is to widen up her arms, I think it'd make a nice difference.
I'll see if i can do it in photoshop <~.~>; if not I'll have to start over again <X,x> but at least I know I can do it if needed. Thanks, both of you >.< So frustrating; recently I've been 'on top of the world' feeling like my art was really getting good... and then this <x.x> twice... not to mention I totally mucked up an ink of Yumii I'd done recently /sigh

I can do it Squirrels, hold on...
Here's a modest improvement...
Like this? >.>
I made the arms a bit larger... I didn't want to add alot... mostly because I can't due it already being inked (stupid me not posting the pencils for mistakes first <x.x> last time I do that!) I basically drew right over the old, then editted the old out in photoshop >.> (hooray for the magic computer!)

Here she is... and here's what I did:
1) shortened the arms, because the biceps were as long as the forearms.
2) lengthened from the knees on down to give the impression of more height, and also because the calves were too stunted, you cut out the ankles almost.
3) went back to the arms from the shoulders and widened them to make them appear bulkier.
You still have to finish the one foot, but I think it's more in proportion, as by my comparisson of the original and the change.

Her right elbow joint kinda bothers me a bit. Hrm.
Me too... hmm...
*searches google images*
I think this image might show why. In the picture it's a little flat, where it should be kinda aimed out towards the viewer a bit.
Good changes... however, the arm to the left could be a touch thicker though. It's about the same width as her extended arm but when you curl your arm up, your biceps contracts and becomes thicker. Check it out in a mirror or just look down if you don't believe me .
Also, and this might be easily doable for you... her forearm on the curled arm is too long. When curled up to the side like her arm is with palm and fingers pointing up, the shoulder will come up almost to the top of the palm of the hand right where the fingers start. Where you have the armor plate with all the blades or what not ending is right where her wrist should be ending and hand beginning. As is, it looks as if some perv kept her on the rack too long
Sarrate was dead on with the knees as well. They are too low. They should be about halfway between the groin and soul of the foot when the leg is fully extended. You have them half way between the soul of the foot and the hem line of the skirt.
It looks like, over all, the root of your problems is the clothing and accessories are throwing you off. You know, there is a reason I draw "nude" posses to start my pieces with. It insures that I have the body and meat down and everything in proportion without having to try to see through all kinds of weird cloth and what not which makes spotting mistakes that much harder. That, and a mistake in proportion on the "nude" sketch is more easily fixed then one with all the details of the clothing and accessories already added. And to top it off, it makes adding said objects a lot easier as I'll then have a much better idea as to how they need to sit and be positioned to appear to be on the body in a believable way. It's a little extra work initially but saves a LOT of headaches, frustration, and extra work down the road. you might want to give it a try on your next piece

Funny thing about that graver <'x'> My sketches start nude too <;.;> I just royally suck at doing the human body <~.~>; (Ever notice I *never* draw guys? >.> There's a reason for that... and it has nothing to do with discomfort!)
This just reinforces... I need to practice more hehe >_<; Thankies for the advice <~_~> I definitely will be working on this lots more (btw, the arm things are feathers >.> its not easy to tell though <;.;> I need a bigger working surface - but I can't scan anything bigger than regular printer paper <x.x>
Anyways >.< Muchos gracias everyone. Hopefully the next one after this will be much improved. This one won't be 'perfect' but I'm going to touch it up as best I can so the next can be much much improved. <>_<> Must work harder <gets a pair of acorns and a huge cuppajoe >.>
This will take awhile <-.->// <scribble>

Ok... so I've done *2* versions of this pic so far... 2... anyone who's seen some of my other work knows I don't completely suck... right? <;.;> So why is this looking like a bad 10 year old drawing?! I'm going friggin nuts here.
Here's the pic
I'm going friggin batty...
The left arm (her right) is 'broken' looking (I'm going to photoshop fix it) - and I generally like the legs... the torso could use a little work...
But the biggest problem are the arms and head... they're terrible <;.;> What do I do? I know I can fix some of this with color but... ugh. This was supposed to be a fun surprise for my best friend <~.~> and its looking like it was just thrown together <;.;> /sad SAVE ME JEBUS! >.<;
