You shouldn't need a stylus for flatting.
Put a new layer under the lineart, set the lineart layer to Multiply. Then use the polygonal lasso tool on the underneath layer to make the flat shapes and fill them with color. With the polygonal lasso tool, it's pretty easy. Just takes a wee bit of patience.
Oh, and I'm working on a Cuppa piece too.

I should probably wait till I'm totally finished to post an update >.> But I want to see if there are any glaring flaws I'm missing before I do the cape and decide on a background
I've decided to avoid going with many layers of tone; instead I wanted to focus on just 2 or 3 tones per color because it seems to suit Crimson's drawing style better; IE: stark and edgy, rather than smooth
I still have a couple highlights to add - and I need to do the cape obviously.
Has been alot of fun hehe <,<

I NEVER post on this side of the forums, mostly because I hardly look here.. but when I do.. Im always amazed at the skill and creativity these people show here.
Grey, your piece makes my eyes water 
in a couple ways, First its sad to see our beloved friend CuppaJo leaving.. and seeing the packed boxes lieing around. Second, there's something about the idea of hanging up your mask and costume is making me feel emotinal about it. But the easy little smile on her face while shes drinking her coffee tells us she's striding forward, happy, and wont be forgotten.
But in all the ways I love this piece. Cuppa deserves it.
