hmmm, i'd think praetorian blue steel would be Red Iron....

[/ QUOTE ]

It could be, if you were just going for opposites or related subjects. (Okay, iron isn't an opposite to steel, I know...)

However, a copper shield was the original representation of being a lawman and the reason we call police 'cops' today. Having Blue Steel's opposite as Copper Shield calls back to this law theme while suggesting that perhaps this Praetorian takes the law way too seriously.

Alternatively, he hides behind / uses his copper shield while doing the most brutal and corrupt things. It's a nice (imo, and if I do say so myself) image that shows Blue Steel through a dark mirror.

Meanwhile "Red Iron" would invoke thoughts of not only being the opposite of Blue, but also being communist

Acctually, just being the name Red Iron makes me think of super heated iron about to be forged. Or rust. Nothing lawman like.

I'm still failing to see the police officer in that. But I guess that's just me then.

They're the Freedom Phalanx, but a pivotal moment in their life went the other way, making them evil rather than good.

I can't remember any good examples atm however...

Manticore/Chimera went with Protean when he killed his parents and was trained to be an assassain.

Miss Liberty/Dominatrix hated her mother for some reason and wasn't content living in her shadow and killed her.

Citdel/Siege was just built for a different reason.

Luminary/Dark Star was built by Anti-Matter to show Dominatrix he loved her.

Synapse/Neuron experimented on himself for some reason. (I still don't really get this one.))

Positron/Anti Matter was essientially just Dr. Null... hmm, so that might mean Null's a good guy in their world, provided he isn't just dead yet.

And there's plenty more.

Two questions real fast:

Is this "Hero-side only?"

How do I phrase that better? Hmm...

1. If the story is about my Villain being sent to the Praetorian world by Lord Recluse, would that still be considered?

and related:

2. Can the story be from the Praetorian point of view coming into Paragon?

I have several stories that would only take an hour or two to write up, but which one I actually write up and send in hinge on the answer to those two questions.

Ohhh....almost forgot too.....

(forgive me if it's already been asked)

Can we send in more than one Praetorian story? (It's one of my favored concepts)

Well, I've got a story idea, so I want to make sure it's plausible.

What would praetorian 5th column/council be like?

Freedom fighters who went to ground after WWII, and now recruit from the citizenry to help fight against Tyrant and so on?

It's rather important, because my most interesting "hero" character would have had a very different life, one that her praetorian counterpart would be unintentionally mocking her with... Muahah.

I had an idea for something like this for a fanfic. Thing is, I don't know what forms the Praetorian Versions of the Big Five of Arachnos would take. It is an idea that I have been workiong on though.

Here's how I see them:
Lord Recluse = Black Monarch
Ghost Widow = Spirit Swallowtail
Captain Mako = Adrmial Manta
Black Scorpion = White Whiptail
Scirocco = Zephyrus

If there are Established Praetorian versions of these characters, at least tell me their names. I'm interested in seeing how this unfolds.

Also, If i have inadvertently used a character name in use by someone else, I apologize.
