I'm not sure what kind of scanner you use, but I'm willing to bet theres an option in it somewhere to change the scan type from B/W to B/W Photograph or something similar. Try scanning it that way, it'll look a lot better when scanned to the computer.
Agreed, it's a little hard to make out right now.

I really like your picture of Ghost Widow. I think it actually capture a true eerie-ness of her. I like! Good job!
I am not an artist so I really cannot give you any tips or anything..sorry 
Draw bigger! I get the sense that the actual drawing itself on paper is maybe just a few inches big. Draw on a full piece of paper then scan it in and you can have oodles of detail 
But it looks good! Keep up the doodling!
