You hit "print screen" just like a regular screenshot, but since it's in the login screen it doesn't go to your screenshot folder. You have to open a paint program and copy it into there and then save it 
It's a pain in the butt, I know.
Well, I don't know how others do it, but I use an image editor program like PSP (Paintshop Pro) and just do a screen capture. I imagine others do the same thing just via different programs or just capturing to Windows clipboard to be pasted into something else later on. Some form of screen capture.
I understood everything up to 'hit print screen' Told you I was stupid. Well, make that functionally pc illiteterate!
Where does it show up that I copy it from?
Man, I can't even find 'clipboard'!

Okay, there should be a key on your keyboard that says "print screen" or "prt sc". When you see something you want to take a screen shot of, hit it. If you are in the game it will usually save it to a folder in your CoH directory (C drive --> program files --> City of Heroes).
If you are in the log-in screen (or Icon) you hit the print screen button, then open up whatever paint program you use (go to "all programs" then "Accessories" and there should be a program called "Paint"). Then either hit control+v or go to "edit" then "paste" and it should drop your screen shot into paint. Then save that sucker.

It'll really only work if you can use a program like Paint Shop Pro (PSP) or Photoshop, Corel, or the ghastly MS Paint. You will want to have this program *open and running* while you're in COH. Hit Print Screen and switch to that program, and hit (something similar to) edit/paste or paste. Some require a new image to be created first, some just slap it down AS a new image. (corel needs 'new image' first.)
If you don't have a picture editor, you'd need to get one to do this.

This is unnecessary. The Clipboard will virtually save your screenshot whether or not you have the program open. You can do Print Screen, close CoH, open your paint program, and do a new image and Paste and it should work fine. Mind you, only one screenshot can be saved to the Clipboard at a time, so you would want to have the program open and running if you want to do multiple screen shots. But, if your computer can't run Photoshop and CoH at the same time (mine CAN, but I sure don't like to) you can do one screenshot without having the paint program open.

The stupid question is...how do you take the screenshot/picture of the login screen? You know, where all your toons are located?
For some reason I just cannot figure this out! Opps! Gotta wipe the drool from my mouth!
So...anyone...?
