Diana concentrated on the mist around her. It began to solidify. She floated slowly into the air as the water in the mist formed a huge bubble with her at the center.

She seated herself on the floor inside the bubble. The surface tension of the water was so very high that it was no less solid than stone, and much more comfortable. Encased in her bubble shield, Diana floated further into the simulation, looking for an opponent.

Frigyd flew up beside Reishi and said to her as they moved in unison, "I do not wish to fight you...yet." With that, Reishi stopped and looked at her. "The nervous woman, she is strong. She has powers that can keep you from doing any damage to her. But I can shatter the water she uses as a shield. However, I cannot do it alone." Frigyd said landing a few feet away from Reishi, "We can work together, or I can defeat you now and get someone else to help."

The Hellfrost and the Jack Frost entered the arena, immediately proceeding to hose everything down with full-auto weapons fire.

"Aah, where are all those bullets comming from?" Shinji said
"I dont know, just get behind me, I'll make us a barrier." Rai replied.
"Ok."
Rai made a stone barrier, backed by Shinji's electricity.

"Ok, while we're in here, we have enough time to enter our first state of transformation."
Their eyes began to glow, their nails became claws, and they gained increased speed and strength.
"Wait....I can sense where its comming from now...lets go." Shinji said as the two dissapeared into the ground and headed toward their enemies.

Shinji and Rai bursted out of the ground, hitting both their enemies in the chin with a uppercut, they got back into defensive stances not knowing what these two are capable of.

Posted

The uppercut did nothing at all to the Hellfrost, its incredibly strong skin holding perfect as it smoothly sent paralyzing waves of cold outwards from itself.

The Jack Frost got its head taken clean off, but it immediately reformed and began blasting away with ice shards.

Posted

Rai cought the ice midair with his kenisis powers and crushed them into water. Shinji returned fire with bolts of electricity and energy, while Rai tried to wrap his enemies in stone from the chest down.

Posted

The electricity and energy crackled harmlessly across the demon's chests, but the rock seemed to be working....

Until the beasts dropped the temperature several dozen degrees, cracking the stones right as they fling icy darts at the pair.

Posted

The icy darts riddled the two, then they fell to the ground...*poof* they dissapeared and Shinji and Rai both hit the demons in the back of the head.

Posted

And they found their hands stuck in the creature's icy heads, giving the frostbite as the construct fling back their bodies to crush the two.

Diana sighed. Enough watching and waiting. Looking around the arena, it looked like Frigyd and Reishi were the only ones not in combat. . . they were together though. She might have to fight them both . . .

Eh, why not try. She had done that sort of thing before from time to time. Her bubble floated in their direction.

Posted

*Boom!* The two crashed into the wall. In the puff of smoke the two dissapeared into the wall...

Posted

Reishi noticed the bubble moving towards her and the ice girl.
"Ok, I have an idea, just put that lady on ice...uh, so to speak," Reishi said to Frygid.

Posted

"Okay, just keep her distracted." Frigyd said running off into the shadows.

Posted

Reishi ran towards a pile of rubble and picked out a sizeable girder.
She carried it over and lined up her shot, launching the solid steel girder at the water lady.

Posted

The girder hit Diana's bubble with a loud CLANG. Diana had to stuggle to maintain her control and the attack threatened to displace water everywhere.

Diana tried to hide her weakness. After all, it would look like the attack had done nothing. It was always good to create the illusion that you were untouchable.

She pulled particles of water from the air and solidified them into a small globe of water around Reishi's head. Reishi was trying to distract her so that Frigyd could freeze her bubble. That would make her much more vulnerable. But it would be hard for Reishi to do anything if she couldn't breathe.

Posted

Frigyd focused her power, for a moment she thought of helping Reishi, but the task at hand was to important. As her eyes started glowing with blue light, the air around her circulated and the wind picked up. Lifting into the air a mass of air started picking up rubble as Frigyd's hands glew an eerie blue and she launched herself into the air. At the top of the stadium, she dropped, slamming her hands into the bubble the nervous woman was using as protection, instantly freezing it solid. The move left her drained and Frigyd took cover in one of the buildings. Remembering Reishi, Frigyd froze the water around her head so it could be shattered.

Posted

Predictable Reishi thought.
The ice girl's help almost did more harm than good, but clapping her hands against the mass of ice worked just fine.
Her counterattack came just as swift. Before Diana could summon another bubble around her head, Reishi had already launched two more girders her way, and had kicked a decent size chunk of rubble towards her as well.

Posted

Diana sent the frozen remains of her bubble flying in all directions, hoping they might hit her adversaries. She didn't have nearly enough time to make another one, though. Her best defense was down.

She wondered if she should pick on Reishi now that she was weak. . . but the idea sickened her. That was only going to prove she couldn't fight fair. Instead she searched for large concentrations of water nearby, hoping to find out where Frigyd had gone.

Posted

Frigyd felt winded, but got back up anyways, the nervous woman would be a problem that both herself and Reishi would have to work together on. Stepping out of the store she manifested her ice sword and began running toward combat.

((Dominators FTW))

Seeing the objects come hurtling towards her, Diana quickly conjured a wall of water much like the bubble she had used. She winced as the heavy objects hit. The third, though deflected, broke her concentration and she fell to the ground, gasping.

She had to recover. Diana pulled water from the air into her body and saturated her bloodstream with it. Instantly she felt better, having filled her blood with fresh oxygen.

"Damn..." Reishi said.
She was running out of girders...
Luckily she had fully recovered from having a nasty head cold (boom boom kish)
Since it seemed to be working, she launched several more girders at Diana. A total of five in a short period. Knowing what to expect the lady to do next, she herself followed the last one.

Posted

Diana was not at all pleased to see five girders plus Reishi coming after her at top speed. No way could she block all that. A change of tactics seemed in order.

Fortunately she was prepared. She was already standing in a pool of water and there was another where the ice around Reishi's head had melted. Diana closed her eyes and simply melted into the water. She reappeared in the second pool, trying to catch her breath.

Posted

The five girders, of course, missed their mark.
Reishi had seen the woman transfer herself through the water.
She always wondered how people could do that.
Pushing the idea aside, she heaved a large boulder and dropped it on the puddle, causing the water to splash out and seep into the rubble.
She then made her way back to the girders and heave two of them, tossing them at Diana.

Posted

Having no better options now, Diana ran in an attempt to dodge the girders, hoping she would be fast enough. She was, but just barely.

Seeing Reishi already preparing her next move, Diana decided she had to attack. She would lose if she kept focusing on defense. She created a sphere of water in front of her, and then hurled it as hard as she could at Reishi. As usual, she tightened the surface tension to such an extent that it would hit more like a ball of concrete than water.

Diana was about to learn a rather painful lesson:
That Reishi loved baseball.
Reishi hefted one of the girders, and swung it like a bat at the ball of water.
