Aaron's Art Hermit Hideout
Update:
Finished a whole new song: A parody on The Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated," titled "Don't Wanna Be Defeated." This was written by Archimagos. The full details are in this thread.
Unfortunately, I won't be hosting or posting up the song myself, as CuppaJester said he'd take the liberties to. So as much as I'd love to show you guys the song, we're gonna have to wait for CuppaJester.
Anyway, I did happen to do another pencil while at school. I'll get that up sometime tonight.
Phew, like a freakin' art machine here.
Check out the song, now being played on w00t Radio. Thanks w00t!:

New pencil, also:
Lupin III
I love the absolutely ridiculous size of that gun <,<! Nice one Aaron <^_^> You're definitely improving.
Still need to work on hands wrapping around objects... then again; I suck at that too >.<; good stuff <^-^>

Update:
Colored a bit of the Mario picture. Maybe 50% done with flats.
New version of the song should be posted by Jester soon. I'll put up the link ASAP.
Edit: Don't Wanna Be Defeated (New Version)
Hooray, my first ever piece to have gone through sketching, inking, and coloring:
Mario (Final)
Ooo... Your colors are pretty good Aaron! Can't wait to see more man >_<; Keep practicing!

Nice inks and colors, Aaron! The colors really bring that pic to life.
I'm working on my first piece with inks, and colors from PS, as well, so I know how hard it can be to learn how to do it.
I like the Lupin III one, too. It looks like the gun is right in your face. So when are you gonna draw Fujiko?
Keep up the good work.
-Pep
The processes are really quite simple once you get a hand at them. Just takes awhile.
Thanks for the compliments, guys.
I'm actually thinking about inking and coloring Lupin next. I have an idea with inking in a different style for that one.
Updates (yey!):
I went ahead and started the shading layers again from scratch on Mario. I like this version better, but if it starts nagging again I'll start tweaking again (I doubt it this time, though).
Mario (Final, Again)
Also did a nice pencil sketch today. I'll get that up tomorrow.
Current plans for this week are:
-A full pencil for a friend.
-Coloring Lupin.
-A digital landscape painting.
Those interested in my personal life: Going to audition tomorrow for an upcoming play. Since it's a musical, I have to sing for the audition. I'll be doing "Come Sail Away" by Styxx. I'm not too worried.
I wouldn't want to me him in a dark alley. GJ
Oh, nice job on the update there Aaron! It took me alt tabbing back and forth several times to put my finger on what changed, but I finally came to the conclusion the shading was a bit thicker in the second. What I mean is it's not hugging the lines as closely, and gives it a better sense of volume. Nice!
(Not part of Mario, but I also think the style you added to your signature is pretty neat looking.)
Glad you caught it, Sarrate. I think it's an improvement I'm going to carry into my later works.
Anyway, for my signature in my colored works, I just take my tablet, set the brush to a silver color, and set up a bevel and emboss and stroke effects in the layer properties in PS, then write my sig on the tablet.
So, I got on a little creative streak tonight, so instead of one pencil up tomorrow, you guys will have two!
Here's the update, just like I said:
New pencils:
Thor
(Sorry TA!) Sorry about the dim lines. I did this on looseleaf but it didn't dim the lines using the same process as it did with others.

This was a fun one to do, me being the Nintendo fan. Can't wait for Nintendo's conference tomorrow, eh?
As for the audition, I went up and sang, and when I was done, the piano player looked at me and said "Why don't I know you? You should be in chorus," so if that's any clue to how well I did...
Trying out a new style...here's my progress on Lupin:
Lupin (Color)
Heh... I can't help but think, "Did he fire six shots, or only five? Do ya feel lucky, punk?"
Good job so far.
(BTW, loved Castle of Cagliostro. )

I loved Cagliostro, too, and the animated series.
Wow, you did an awesome job on that gun. I've tried to draw them several times in the past and they've come out... well... not so much like guns.
Maybe it comes from all those years of FPS's, Sarrate.
For those interested, I'll have two new pencils up tomorrow. Both portraits, one of Juggertha and the other of Powergirl.
Holy crap Aaron, you've improved so much since the start. Just thought I'd stop by and congratulate you on your awesome work as of yet. Great job!
Thanks, dood.
ooooh, exciting!!
Tomorrow my time or yours?
I'll check back at 12am on both
Good news today:
Got into the play. Callback is Monday. No lead parts for me, but I'm fine with that.
Got bored today, so I made two more sketches at school (for fun, yknow). All four pics will be up later today.
Grats on the play! What one is it?
I was in several many moons ago... Cabaret, Doonesbury, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Little Shop of Horrors...
Great memories.. Great fun!
