"Judging by how you said 'some', I guess I'm the one who has to get there myself?" said Void.

"Flying," he grumbled and walking outside. "Might as well start heading there now. They can just IM me if there's a change of plans."

He pulled open the laptop and used MapQuest to find the ballroom.

He kicked off the ground and began to make his way there, invisible to every form of detection thanks to the shadows he used.

Watching through a pair of binoculars, Feliks watched the building and guards with scrutinizing eyes. The Cobra armored car would provide the biggest challenge. Other then being a armored vehicle, which on its own is a huge threat, it had been outfitted with an array of sensors appropriate to the occasion. Feliks didn’t know the exact details, but he didn’t want to find out the hard way. He also noted that it had an automatic 40mm grenade launcher in the turret, as well as a 50. cal up top.
The patrolling guards wouldn’t make it any easier, he counted at least a platoon on the grounds surrounding the target, with god knows how many plain clothes inside.
He sighed at the odds, but decided that if things went well, it would pay off so much more then any danger could outweigh. With that in mind, he grabbed his rifle, satchel bags, and started to skirt about the building looking for an opening.
He darted in the surrounding trees, keeping a good distance between him and anyone that may dislike his presence.

"Got something odd on the scaner, sir."

"What is it?"

"A big blank spot on the thermal detector. Looks like an abscence of....well, anything."

"It's most likely a meta-human. It could be a hero but keep an eye on it regardless. Alert me if it comes inside the containment zone."

"Yes, sir!"

*********************************************

A trio of soldiers walked past Feliks's location chatting to one another.

"Man, this guard duty sucks, you know what I mean?" said one.

"Yeah, but we gotta do it or the higher ups will have our heads," replied the other soldier.

"Shut up, you two," growled what appeared to be the patrol leader. "We've got enough trouble hiding these damned bright uniforms of ours without you two blabbing all over the place."

"Sorry, sir," the two chorused and shut up.

A man in a tuxedo walked up to the bar slouching over, his face covered by his hair. He looked up and down the bar, then started speaking quietly.

"Ok, I am in position, what about you guys?"

"Me and Jim are watching the main doors. But come on, what sort of criminal would walk through the main doors?" Came a reply on the end of the small unit in the Tuxedo-wearing man's ear. "Besides, John, whether or not someone did get here, they would most likely be stopped by the guys outside."

"Maybe..." replied John, looking back up and down the bar. "But I feel like something is wrong."

"You always feel that way, don't be so paranoid."

"Well, normally I wouldn't, but according to our liason with the guys outside, they have an absess on their radar."

"Probably just a glitch, or some kinda hero."

"Maybe..." mused John, "But what hero needs a cloak in around here?"

Void hovered over the building, thinking. He could slink in behind a guest, or try to break in through a window... or he could try something new.

It was really, really risky, considering he'd never tried it.

He set down on the roof, and placed a hand to it. It covered itself in a light shadow, and Void jumped in. He came out, still perfectly invisible, on the top floor.

All he had to do was sneak down to the party and he could hand off the poison.

Shinji had come out of the room he was sleeping in, already in his disguise, when he had noticed Void already left, "He could have told me he was leaving, I can teleport him there." (*pokes ryan back*)

John saw another one of his allies sit at the bar next to him.

"Kevin, you are supposed to be guarding the top floor." John whispered to the man now ordering a drink.

"Relax, Mr. Ballard, I have the sensors on the windows like you asked. There is no way up there but from the stairs, which are guarded by Jim, and the windows, which have sensors. Come on, it isn't like anyone is going to walk through the roof or something." Replied the young agent, sipping his drink...

Then, John felt himself get up. He almost thought that just because Kevin had said "No one will walk through the roof", someone had to have gone through the roof.

Then, he thought of the possibilites. In his work, he had encountered a grand total of 2 villains which could phase through things. One was a personal villain, another was one he simply knocked out after phasing.

However, he just KNEW that something bad was about to happen... He just didn't know what.

Void silently crept along the hall until he found the stairs. He looked down to see the guard at the bottom.

ONE guard? THIS is their increased security? He shook his head and silently walked down the stairs.

When he was behind the man, he pulled both hands back and covered them in shadows. When he struck, the man instantly fell.

Got to stash him somewhere until he wakes up...

Void saw a bathroom.

Perfect!

He dragged the unconcious man into the men's room and into the large handi-capped stall.

He sat him up on the toilet, still unable to be detected, before walking out.

He continued, the sounds of the party becoming clearer. Was there anything to challenge him?

"You shouldn't wake a girl like that..." Alex said, somehow she'd gotten passed Ryan and seemed almost instantly ready in a silk dress, scarlet in color, and extended a little passed her knees.

"So, how do I look?" She gave the most innocent smile she could, "Val told me one of the dead guys liked little innocent children... so..." She smiled normally and twirled around, the dress was clinging to her body, which underneith held a large asortment of weapons.

"[censored]! Sir! You migth want to see this!"

"What is it?"

"That blank space, it vanished into the roof of the building."

"[censored]! Jones! Get the internal guards on the line, we've got meta-human penetration! Tell them to expect a stealther!"

"Yes, sir! Transmitting information now!"

John took his hand away from his ear, having pretended to be scratching behind it, but actually pushing his earpiece closer to his ear.

They had been infiltrated. From the roof.

He had to hold back shouting at Kevin, but he was annoyed. Kev had gone against direct orders, and had left his post.

"Ok, Kevin, because you messed up so bad, you are going to find out who or what just got inside the building. Take the Thermal Eye Contacts, and make sure to be prepared." informed the annoyed Spec. Ops. soldier.

"Fine," replied Kevin, putting the contacts in, pretending to itch around his eyes. "So, what style should I use?"

"Preferably one to disable the infiltrator. Perhaps some Kung Fu or something." John snorted. "I am going to figure out some way to turn invisible criminals visible."

With that, John stood, taking the hand of a woman in an aqua-marine dress, and both started dancing toward a door on the far side. John let go of his dance partner, both bowing to each other. The woman took off into the crowd, watching the balconies. John quickly punched in a code on the door, opening it, and slipping inside in almost a second.

Meanwhile, Kevin started walking up the stairs. His vision was showing many people, all looked familiar to the guests. "Ok, guys, do you happen to have the location of the enemy?" He inquired, coughing a little to mask his words.

Alex entered the building when they arrived. She loved it. She smiled wide at the beauty of the ceiling.

"Miss?" A man asked ofering to take the coat from her, a thought popped in her mind.

"Oh, yes, here can you take it off please?" She turned around, her coat was a little fancy, not too much or little, "It gets stuck sometimes when I try to pull it off myself..." He pulled it off, as he did she pushed herself back behind a collumn. Once behind the collumn she sunk her teeth into his neck, as Ryan came into veiw on the side, "Mr. Shadow guy... cover me here..." She whispered to him, "I've got a plan on how to get the target alone, but this guy needs to be dead..."

She continued to drink, it was lovley.

Void looked over the railing at the party below.

He found a closet and quickly ran inside.

He felt like a secret agent as he slipped off his costume to reveal the Tux underneath. He straightened the bow tie before restealthing himself and walking back outside. He shut the door and looked around for who he was supposed to hand the vial off to.

Kevin walked along the hall, looking at the walls, seeing heat signatures of people sitting in rooms, watching T.V., for some reason, and the such.

Right before he got to the bathroom, he saw a woman enter below. He shrugged it off, walking along. He looked back, and noticed the woman, and the man at the door both gone.

"Lucky guy." Kevin muttered, walking past the bathroom, where he would have seen a fading heat signature of his ally, and continued on along the walkway.

Meanwhile, John had finished searching through the guest list, recording them on his Profile Finder. He looked at all the registered guests, and continued watching the screen. He switched it to camera mode, seeing a woman walk in the door.

Ok, nothing bad there. He swivelled the camera to Kevin, who had also looked. Kevin looked away, and the camera swiveled back to the woman. Just then, she pushed the helpful man taking off her coat behind a pillar. He caught a glimpse of the man from behind, seeing him turn slightly pale, before the camera swiveled of it's own accord.

"Well damn." John muttered, pulling out the comm. link. "Kevin, we may have a problem. Keep your eye on the woman who just came through the door."

A reply came back, with a faint sense of fear... "John... You might want to come and see this..." Kevin stuttered slighty. "I am sending you a picture..."

John looked at the pictures on the screen. They showed one of his guards in the bathroom with a fading heat. "We have more problems than before, apparently..."

"Kevin," John could be heard over the comm. device, "Make sure you're ready for anything, got that? We have, at the least, two possible threats to security inside."

Kevin made an affirmative grunt, and walked down the steps, pretending to tie his shoe laces on the bottom floor, looking around. He saw Jenny Karsy, one of their operatives who was trained in interrogation and subduing of an enemy, saw the door where John Ballard, their pseudo-leader kept watch on the premisis, with advanced knowledge in their technologies, and in the mirror, his own dashing self, Kevin Morook, who was a master of hand-to-hand combat.

He stood, walking once again, to the bar, looking for the woman who had stepped in earlier.

"Sh..." Alex started as she saw the camera start to turn back. The guy was dead, but she acted as is she were kissing him, using the cuffs unbuttoned to hold his arms at the waist, giving the appearence that they knew each other. Once the camera went away for cross of three, she looked around quickly to find somewhere to hide.

She couldn't find anywhere, she took out a shuriken and threw it toward the camer, to where it turned enough, but not enough to catch the dead body as she propped it up against the column. She wipped the blood off her face, checked the area and then slid out as if nothing happened.

Her plan was, once someone left, they would expect their coat back. Looking for the coat man they'd find his dead body. People would panic, her target most likley would have been met by her by then, so, he'd have been charmed and he would take her to a "safe" room. And then the guards be shooshed away for privacy, and then... well by the time they come back, she'd be long gone, and there'd be a nice dead body for them to call in.

She spotted her target, time to move.

Ryan stepped out of the Car. Adjusting his Blood red tie and smothing out his fine italian suit. The mask he wore was one of a man mid 30's with a shaven head. Ryan had Made Akujiki look once more like a cane as he walked up to the doorman. Showing him his invitatoin, the man took Ryan to the side to be searched like all the guests.

"Alright your clear, head inside and please have a nice night mister Jones." The door man opened up the fine oak door revealing the main hall. "Thank you" Ryan said, his voice was much deeper and horse than before thanks to the masking device,

Then he heard his code name, looking over he saw Alex draining the coatman, "Does she not know the meaning of sudlties." Ryan said under his breath then shouting over to Alex as she came back into normal view, "Come my sweet daughter, we mustn't keep the nice man waiting." Then turning around he looked for Auska, "Amy will you please stop hiding now, we must go inside."

Now John was worried.

The camera screen in his lower right corner, the one he had used to monitor the Coat-man and the girl had been frozen in place. And it didn't look jammed in place either. However, with the angle, he did manage to get a slight view of the floor itself, and he saw the woman, alone, walking onto the main floor.

"Ok, Kev, keep your eye on the girl, we-" John started, but heard Kevin on the other end saying something which really started to annoy him.

"Come on, just a small kiss, it won't hurt! Promise!"

Kevin was flirting with girls at the bar again.

John could not pull him away, it would look suspicious, so he decided on something else.

He turned the dial to Jenny's frequency. "Ok, we have a possible threat on the main floor. Walked in the door about a minute ago, see her?"

Jenny looked for a second, seeing the face of the woman she had seen at the door. "Yeah, I see her." she muttered quietly, dancing with a guy she had been asked by.

"You ok?" he asked her, frowning.

"Oh, yeah, just a, *ahem*, bit of a soar throat, is all..."

"Ok, make sure you keep an eye on her," informed John, "Don't let her out of your sight."

"Sorry, but I really gotta go," explained Jenny to the dancer, "I... Uh... Have an appointment..."

Jenny quickly started walking toward the woman, before John's voice came back over the earphone. "And one more thing, smack Kev over the head, would you?"

Jenny smiled, before going over to the bar, where, sure enough, Kevin was flirting with some brunette, and she smacked him over the head. "Come on, hon, we have to go."

"But..." Kevin stuttered, surprised.

" NOW, Kevin."

Kevin sighed, shrugged to the girl, and stood up, following Jenny.

"Why the heck did you do that?"

"Because John told me to."

Kevin then realized he had left his microphone on, and smacked his head.

"Now, I am going to be keeping an eye on that wierd one that came through the door, you take the one who got Jim." said Jenny, officially, taking off again.

John, however, was paying attention to the camera in vicinity of the U.N. Official. He could have sworn he saw the woman walking toward the area, but decided to forget it. She couldn't be THAT big of a threat...

Feliks let the three pass. He had no intention of going out of his way to kill anybody. When they were out of earshot, he reached into his bag and removed a MK22 tranq gun. He fastened a silencer to the end of the already quiet gun. Searching around, he spotted a lower basement door into the service area. He was almost there when he heard voices. One U.N. guard was searching for a discrete place to relieve himself. As he approached he yawned loudly as well, his redundant duty getting to him. Feliks eyed the man carefully, seeing what his next course of action would be.

Alex looked around, no one was leaving yet. She looked back toward Ryan, he'd already moved off. She took a look at all the cameras, acting as if she were trying to hit a fly or pulling hair back as she walked about. She timed each one, trying to see the best oportunity to walk up to the target and get him in a good enough mood to make it look as if they were friends.

No such luck, the cameras were timed to search over every spot a milisecond after another. She'll have to try and make it look like he didn't recognize her then...

She started toward him and called to him as she did, once she got to him, "Sir, it's an honor to meet you..." She said, taking a wine glass of a passing tray. "Arn't you a bit young to drink, he smirked, bingo. "Oh you flatter me sir..." She said, no literally, she gave what she hoped was a fake blush.

She took a drink and smiled at him, "Tell me all about you, I just must know..." She said.

Shinji entered behind Ryan, and just took a seat for a while, watching Alex's back, while trying to make short conversations with other people to make it seem less suspicious. I wonder what she's trying to do to him. There are cameras everywhere. Shinji thought to himself before he just sat back and started to sip his drink.
