As the battle had begun, the Maltans had taken cover in a building to the side, not unlike the Family. There, they fortified. This was a marathon, not a sprint, and if they were ready for the enemy, they'd be the favorite runner.

OOC: Ahem, Kaiser.
BIC: The four Crab Spiders came charging out of the alley and then skidded to a halt as though surprised to see Podo, Goro, and the others. With frantic arm waving, the Arachnos fired a hasty burst of automatic weapons fire at the group and then ran back the way they came.

As Coldfire and Charcold charged, Mako brought both of his hands together. A ghostly energy seemed to seep from his clenched hands and then a giant shark head suddenly leapt out of the ground and latched onto Charcold's legs. As the villain began struggling to free himself, Black Scorpion leaned forward and small panels flicked open on his shoulders. Missiles roared out from their racks and doused Scorpion with smoke as they angled through the air toward the imbilized Charcold. Then, Mako ran at Coldfire, intending to jump over him, grab his head, and slam him into the ground where Scorpion would blast him.
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
"Cowards!" Goro yelled at the retreating Crab spiders. Then he launched his 3 ton hammer at the back of one of the Spiders in the hopes of at least slowing it down.

What the Crab spiders didn't know or couldn't see was Ryan pursuing them from the building above. Keeping pace with them untill he sa his chance.
Jumping so that he was behind a dumpster a little ways ahead of Arachnos. Ryan readied Akujiki to kill the first one that stepped into his viewing point.
Coldfire was tired of this fight, he was tired of those fools. He was tired of Charcold. "Die." Coldfire said as he the arena flashed with light blue light and in an instant all was frozen. Coldfire fell to his knees and gasped for air. He had no more energy, he had to rest, he had to get his power back. Charcold was frozen and so were the Arachnos monkeys. "Dammit..." Coldfire said stumbling away. Charcold managed to break the ice after a few moments, "Dammit, and I was just having fun."
As the two began walking out, they heard behind them ice cracking. With a shatter, Scorpion burst out, "RAAAAAH!"
"[censored]." Coldfire said as he collapsed onto the ground.

Carlos readied his rifle and began taking potshots at the crab spiders.
As the crab spiders pass a building, bullets suddenly begin to rip through the door and plaster! The Maltans let loose with deep-penetration AP rounds and attack the stomping spiders on full auto.
Podo ducked and threw his metal arm forward as the Arachnos troops sent a hailstorm of bullets his way. Most went right over his head, something that was very useful about his small stature, and the rest plinked into his metal arm and fell to the ground, denting the metal, but not penetrating or hitting the goblin.
Charge, allies, the enemy flees like dogs! Podo yelled as his powerful leg muscles coiled and unleashed, sending him forward in a blur with a massive jump. Pulling his sword from his back, he held it to his right side, planning for a horizontal strike upon reaching close enough to the troops.
He hit the ground not terribly far behind, and began his run at them. Each step brought him closer and closer, his legs covering an amazing amount of ground each time they left the ground, farther than most men could jump, much less cover with one step.
Kiss my blade! Podo challenged as he gained ground.
Agent was about to tell Podo not to chase, but the little goblin was surprisingly fast. Not letting Podo face danger alone Agent hopped and skipped after him. She sailed through the air on drafts of intense heat at the apex of each hop she would send a fireball or fireblast ahead to soften the foes. Again Podo's short stature coming to his advantage as flames sailed over his head at the Arachnoids
The pair advanced Podo a few short steps ahead of Agent.

As the first Crab spider crossed Ryan's veiw point he struck out. Cathing the Spider where the two part of his armor join. Even though he had no need to, his blade sliced straight through th soilder's armor.
As the first one dropped the other stood in terror about how easily one of them was dropped. Along with another realizatoin. They were trapped between Ryan, and all the others.

Goro's hammer had done more than slow down the crab spider. From the way it was crawling now it semmed it had a broken back.
But, now his rage had taken over. "Me KILL YOU" Goro yelled as he picked up his hammer and crushed the Disabled Crab spiders helmet in. After a few spasmes the Spider went limp. Now Goro set his sights on the rest of the Arachnos troops.

OOC: Sorry folks. Attention shifted, I lost interest in this RP. I'm gonna update the main battle now, Patron fight later. Now, there will be some things I'm gonna ignore, seeing as how I'm supposed to be decided what happens to your opponants. So no broken backed Crab Spiders.
BIC: "Kiss my [censored], [censored] face!" yelled one of the Longfang's over his shoulder as he kept running.
Farfield and his men were soon only in view of Ryan, Goro, Podo, and Agent. As the group passed an especially large road cutting across the path, the Crab Spiders dove into doorways or windows, leaving the heroes with no targets.
No targets, that is, except for the small army of Arachnos troopers that flanked them on each side. The lines consisted of ten Wolf Spiders prone on the ground with heavy rifles. Eight Tarantulas stood above them, three of them Fire Tarantulas. Behind the Tarantula line floated three Mu Strikers and a pair of Fortunatas.
The Spiders fired high, to avoid friendly fire but still hit the heroes, the Tarantulas fired low, to do the same, and the mystics wouldn't miss.

"You are out of your league, Malta," whispered a voice to Reikoff's right. A poison tipped needle appeared under his nose. "My mistress sends her regards."
The needle suddenly shoved up at his eye as the Night Widow went for the kill.

A trio of needles suddenly sprouted from the wall on Carlos's left.
"Bad throw, girl. I think you need a bit more target practice."
Spinning around, Carlos and his men faced four Blood Widows, their hands poised and ready to throw their trademarked posioned needles. As one, they hurled them.

Ryan looked over to Goro. "I'll take care of the roofs if you take care of the wolfspiders." Ryan said as he glanced back up at the Fortunatas. He would take care of the first. "I kill spiders." Goro said in his brutish voice. Goro would do It Ryan thought.
As the spiders began to open fire Goro reached into the pavement and pulled up a sheild that cvered his entire body. As the bullets bounced off the Pavement Goro pushed forward, sheild in one hand, hammer in the other.
Ryan disapeared in a cloud of smoke as bullet wipped by. the Fortunatas looked questoinly around searching for their target. But, Ryan found them first. With an assasin srike he brought down the first Fortunata. But, didn't have time for the second, as a fire Tarantula came at him swinging his red hot claws around.
Agent stepped in front of Podo to provide some cover with her fire shields in wouldnt help with the Mystics but it would with the Spiders/Tarantulas. As the initial volley came at them Agent only had time to send a single fireball at the Mu's before the rounds started ripping into her. Pulling copper sulfate into her flames from the elemental planes her fires turned green to start closing the initial wounds with healing flames.

"Cover your eyes!" Carlos said as he chunked a white phospherus grenade in the midst of the enemies below him.
Podo knew he was skilled at dodging, and that he could glance off vicious hits better than most non-powered warriors, but he wasnt ignorant, and he knew he couldnt dodge that barrage from the Arachnos troops. As the triggers were pulled, the goblin jumped straight up into the air, gritting his teeth as he positioned his sword under him and moved himself through the air ever so subtly toward the Tarantulas. Holding the sword underneath him, he fell down straight atop one, hopefully impaling it with his blade. He planned to next take a vicious swipe at the mystics behind him, hopefully moving too quickly for them to react.

((Well, Carlos is in the other fight with Podo, AI, and Goro and they don't acknoledge me as being there and it is pissing me off.))
OOC: All you did was lob a phosphorus grenade into the fight. You didn't say where and actually, I had said that the chase had gone out of Carlos' range. And you got attacked by that Night Widow. So I think they had good reason for ignoring what you did.
And regardless, I think I've just lost interest in the Coliseum. So I think we can just consider this RP dead in the water. Maybe I'll make another one when I think I can handle that as well as participating in so many other RPs.

"East alley coming in fast!" Carlos yelled to Podo and the elf, "I can't hit them!" As Carlos yelled those words, three crab spiders and farfield(?) charged the two.
