Level 40 Longbow Wardens are Screwy
Those heroes are more villainous then we are!!!
Throwing this out: Longbow Nullifier's slug, too strong, 1-shots a lvl 40 MM
Another issue with longbow would be that fact that unlike what was previously stated about there only be one spec ops per group, like sappers, spec ops repeatedly spawn 2 per group even while solo.
You guys are all crazy. There's no bugs in this game.
What I've found to be the best way to deal with them is to debuff them heavily then get them down to the point where they heal, by the time they get down there again they are almost out of end and if you are careful to keep your end high you can finish them off.
I have found where they manage to break toggles the killing damage isn't the 500 point hit but the string of 10 or so poison ticks of about 60 or 70 damage each all appearing instantly.
This issue is particularly noticible in high level Aurora mishes where multiple wardens are close together. There the Wardens regularly single shot and can result easily in team wipes. Aurora is a pushover by comparison - she has more hits but lower regen and much lower damage.
If they're hitting a crit (and its not showing it in the combat window), is it also possible that their crit damage isn't resistable (like scraps in pvp)?
I say this using the example of Ballista, (before they nerfed him due to massive Toggle drop whiners (I thought it made him more fun and challenging)) who dropped toggles with his attacks, like pvp.

Except players in PvP don't consistently drop all of your toggles with every single ranged and melee attack, like the original Ballista-1 did. The whiners were quite justified.
I find this isn't just a problem with Longbow, but some other mobs that have one-shotted me.
The other night, I fought The Wretch (Elite Boss). He took three shots at me, but none of them hit. Then he did a KO Blow, and I was killed in one shot. No damage reported in that entire exchange.
From what I've seen, KO Blow is the power this always happens with. Wretch's nuke (the one that "pounds you for 350-something Smashing, pounds you for 350-something Energy, devastates you for another 350-something Smashing" reported just fine, even though it also one-shotted me.
And, truth be told, I have never had too much trouble with any Longbow Boss or Elite Boss I've fought except for the Super Strength ones. KO Blow is just insanely powerful, and there's nothing fun about being one-shotted, much less not being able to verify it.
