Ode to Roxstar - A Guide to Stone Tanking
Thatsmystapler, what powers do have Edn Rdx in? If you don't have any in your attacks and your armors it will drain your end really fast. Also, the big problem is that you are soloing with mudpots. While soloing there's no need to grab agro since they'll all be focused on you. I'd suggest turning Pots off and see if your end problem gets any better. And this may be a duh kind of question but you are slotting with SO's right?
I had an end redux in RA and 2 in rooted and 1 in mudpots before my respec. I now have 1 in RA, 1 in rooted, 2 in mudpots and 1 in heavey mallet. I also exchanged crystal armor for stone mallet, so I'm not as dependent on heavy mallet for my dmg. And yes I'm using SOs.
I think that will help my end issues now. Still don't know about the acc though. Sounds like I should lower the difficulty when soloing as I'd rather not lose any more slots to acc.
I think you're problem might be that heavy mallet was the only attack with an end rdx. Stone Melee is really end heavy I'd say maybe 2nd to Axe in the tanker secondaries. Also try running without Pots like mentioned above. As far as my slots I have end rdx in the following powers Pots (2), Rock (1), Rooted (1) and all attacks(1). Hope that helps.
" BUILD UP Thoughts: Blah at best. Dont be deceived if youre a converted blaster, it just doesnt work with the stone set. With Granites -recharge you can get maybe one attack? ... "
one note on build up: it works on mudpots, which makes is MUCH more appealing. i like it so far..helps knock a boss down a peg or two, plus the aforementioned mudpots boost...
GREAT guide,by the way!
I finally hit 50, here is my final build, thought maybe you could help me out to see if it is ok, 41+ powers are my own selection, but thought you could go through it - TIA.

That's a very different build. Do you find Tough and Weave are necessary? Also, how is your running speed with only one slot in Swift or do you just use Teleport at all times when in Rooted/Granite? I tend to toggle Rooted on/off when in combat or not, but try not to turn off Granite if I'm teaming with mods higher than I am. Just curious.
Man, very different than most stone builds. First off, Tough and Weave with no end rdx is gonna kill you. They have such little to add to a Stone build that they're really not needed. Granite will cap S/L with 1 RES in Stone Skin so they are not needed at all especially if you aren't going to take any other armors. I'd say to put another end rdx in Mud Pots too once again your end is gonna have problems. Also, if you're going to put that many taunt enh in taunt I'd suggest you take a few slots out of earth's embrace and put them into there for some recharge.
Basically I think you've gone the wrong direction with this build. I understand you want to be simply a defensive build but only granite builds are tough, especially with nothing but one slot in Swift. I'd think it over again.

Post me your build
Check the 18th post of this guide, Roxstar posted a few builds.
Interesting guide...A few notes though... I have run just about every stone armor combo...favorites are stone/elec/energy, stone/SS/earth and stone/fire/earth.
as stone/SS was the first, he was where i learned the stone build. I took stone skin and rock armor as shields and that was all I took def wise until granite. mostly soloed with no real bad or frequent deaths and that was against all villain groups. slow lvling really but very interesting to play. then 32 hit.....and it was on. after respeccing out of rock armor i picked up taunt, and mudpots (with only the two low end shields didnt make much sense to take aggro producers). I slotted hurl boulder with taunt as well as range to make it a single target taunt, because as tankers we know that we will have to taunt away an enemy before it kills the blaster on our team. with mudpots slotted with taunt and perfect zinger chance for energy damage i believe my mudpots are lethal and kill quickly. ALL other tankers have run since with just stone skin until 32 with no real debt/death issues. IF you are even remotely careful

I don't think it's a powerset problem, I think it's a difficulty setting problem. To compare outside of the Tank AT, I find it difficult to solo on Invincible on my lvl37 Scrapper, as it spawns everything in the orange to purple range. I'd recommend at least going back down to a Rugged setting and solo'ing on that to see if it makes a difference. Adding in a second accuracy to your powers will help, but then you'll be losing out on damage (assuming you'll replace a damage enhancement with an accuracy). Since you are already fighting oranges-purples, your damage is already decreased a bit.
