yeah I have been avoiding drawing TA because he was too manly and I didn't think I could do him justice , know that he's shown his softer side I have all sorts of cool Ideas !

I think I'll get to work on the TA at his first slumber party pic . rollers in her hair , letting me paint and starchasm paint TA's toenails while Rowr crank call cute guys like the Assassin of Thor

    The True Zikar

nice! anime'ish. I like the simple line work.

critiquewise...I would probably play with a different pack ground so you can lose the white outline...kinda distracting, well for me at least...otherwise I would say it is a fine piece as is ~
  8. nice, very nice indeed.

is it just me or does the right fist seem a bit big and the left thigh? either way...nice piece you got there Static. definately like the facial work ~
  9. hehe...like the rest, I really like the MM~
  10. agreed...I would place the horizon line either slightly above his head. given the angle on speedy we are just about looking at him dead on versus the elevated position that the current horizon line suggests. you could probably even take the horizon line to his should or even waste...but if you trying for a more "looking down" perspective I would go any lower than the shoulder.

also...careful on the width of the road. its a wee bit narrow for actualy vehicles to drive on. use 'speedy' as your reference. each lane should be about 2.5 the width of him.

hope that helps a lil ~
  11. amazing.....and the picture aint all that bad either ~
  12. moving can definately be a hectic time...having moved a good number of times myself (some of which I can thank the service for) I know how it goes. none the less, take your time and hopefully all will go smoothly...or as smooth as it can for moving. ~

    Art Supply Help

*hides normal .5 mechanical pencil and copy paper under newspaper*

    errrmmm....what they said. ~
  14. no worries...still a durn good pic and it really is a minor thing as it fits the style. money says that once background is dropped in and the piece is colored it will look fine... ~
  15. indeed, there are quite a few of them here....and all are fine artists indeed. is there a specific style or price range? more details you provide could possibly mean faster responce time...I dunno. anywho. good hunting and I really would poke around...some of the stuff you find here can really be stunning. ~
  16. what's wrong with the ever fun hairspray helmet? it not only protects but can function as a weapon in a pinch too! ~
  17. hehe....
    1. price range varies to the artist, from free to 300+ (this depends on the piece your looking for though.

    2. browse this site and you can see all their work and multiple pieces of said work. I would look to the threads with the most "hits" for starters...then work your way out from there.

    3. depends on their work load. a few are on a "que" as they are not only doing work from here but else where as well. so you would have to contact them to find out exactly what the current turn around time is expected to be.

    just a quick run down...cause I'm bored...lol~

You've taken my point to the next level. That's pretty much exactly what I was touching at. My main toon, Atomic Blast Man, is the design of a hero I created 12 years ago, and have drawn on occasion ever since, of course he has gone through several costume changes... But the point is, seeing him in three dimensions, flinging balls of fire, flying around between buildings and orbitting the statue of atlas, takes me back to feeling like that kid again, only now I can see my hero in his full glory.

I think that's one of the best parts for anyone who's not a kid, seeing your childhood come to life right in front of your face. As an artist, it's like seeing my drawings come to life and dance around for me, then give me inspiration to return my hero to paper, but even better yet.

...aye. whiteperegrine and Citenik are a couple characters that I have had in one form or another for nearly 20 years now. while their costumes have changed slightly over the years their 'character' really hasnt. thanks to all the fine folks here I have been able to see at least one of them (so far ) from another perspective other than my own penciling and coloring.

this specific forum is the reason I lurk in the Co* forums in general. the people are great here...and the art spectacular...but that goes without saying though.

either way...again tanx Guys and Gals. ~

the shot of the character came from this pic I did a while ago, and still had the cutout of Foxlily leaning. just reused that.

    nice work

...and not all "art" centers around the venerable pencil and paper. picture manipulation is definately an art form to itself. as such, not sure about the rest of the gang but I would mind seeing more ~
  20. whiteperegrine

    Well..

agreed, I really like the perspective used in this one.

critiquewise...I would define the face a lil more but otherwise I like it over all for the style used.~
  21. looks good so far. critiquewise I would look at your scale for the road and buildings....unless speedy is a giant may want to enlarge. also...given the angle on speedy I would drop the horizon line a good bit...

in regards to speedy himself...looks good but I would be careful with the right should...almost looks like he has 2 elbows as you have the should so well defined and such...but that really is a minor issue but thought I would mention it as well.

I do like where this is going though and look forward to seeing how it all turns out. ~
  22. assuming you have room in the que. wouldnt mind seeing your version of whiteperegrine. ~
