Some quick drawings
Those have been coloured by now but I don't have a scanner atm to post them up.
EDIT: Here's a hero I drew for a board awhile back. A dad had wanted tohelp his kid create a comic book and asked the forums for some art. Everyone replied very generously. This was my contribution Flame
Also critques tips are always welcome
Nice! Flame is really cool...I like how he is drawn more cartoonish!
Scarf_Girls Official Kid Brother!
Yeah I like how flame turned out and wish I could create a group of characters in that style but i can't seem to reproduce it:S
only thing i noticed was on the Electric Insect his rib cage could be showing a bit by making it form where the armpit ends and then curving into, but not touching, his abs area. other than that i like 'em both!
Anyone else have any feedback for me?
You have a pretty clean style. Keep it up.
Here's another one I did. Doesn't have anything to do with CoX though< other then being a superhero, since I can't make a character that shoots himself and other things out of a Cannon as offense.
Cannon
they look pretty durn "successful" ta me. post more ya silly goose ~

Another one I did for Striking_Speedy
Speedster
I may or may not coulour this.
Update for the Speed picture.
I'm gonna try a background for this one, my first ever.
Speed and some background
Critiques?
looks good so far. critiquewise I would look at your scale for the road and buildings....unless speedy is a giant may want to enlarge. also...given the angle on speedy I would drop the horizon line a good bit...
in regards to speedy himself...looks good but I would be careful with the right should...almost looks like he has 2 elbows as you have the should so well defined and such...but that really is a minor issue but thought I would mention it as well.
I do like where this is going though and look forward to seeing how it all turns out. ~

Thanks much! I definatly see it now though it's too late to fix since his been inked.
Wish I had posted the pencils
BTW if anyone feels like practicing drawing high tech armor I know a certain Fire/Energy blaster that'd like to get a sketch.
He mostly hangs out in my sig.
no worries...still a durn good pic and it really is a minor thing as it fits the style. money says that once background is dropped in and the piece is colored it will look fine... ~

I guess I got my first WIP going.
Okay I was wondering if this is a
better place for horizon?
then this?

I think your horrizone is still place to high up the page even on the update. Right now you have your horizone about four-five inches above the figures head (given the scan size). With the perspective on the figure you drew...I would say your horrizone should be located just a couple inches above the figures head. That would still give you the impression that you are looking down at him slightly from above (which seems to be what you are going for.)
agreed...I would place the horizon line either slightly above his head. given the angle on speedy we are just about looking at him dead on versus the elevated position that the current horizon line suggests. you could probably even take the horizon line to his should or even waste...but if you trying for a more "looking down" perspective I would go any lower than the shoulder.
also...careful on the width of the road. its a wee bit narrow for actualy vehicles to drive on. use 'speedy' as your reference. each lane should be about 2.5 the width of him.
hope that helps a lil ~

Actually, the way the drawing is, the horizon line would have to go at his right kneecap. You're looking at him dead-on, and the only way to be looking from above is to change the character's image.
I don't really draw very often since my ability in it seems to come and go. Anyway here are two of the things I've drawn with moderate success.
My main villain, Final Twilight
One of my many hero alts,
The Electric Insect(his one peck is a bit messed up)
