Quote:Take this into consideration. COH at the time of shut down made around 2 million a year or so after operating costs according to assumptions made by several players who keep track of such things. It's player base seemed stable enough to last for quite a while.
Thing is? It doesn't make sense, to me, that they would buy it given it would put the game in direct competition with DCUO.
I can think of at least one reason it would be appealing to SOE.
SOE offers a general subscription for all the the games it carries. If it can get COH cheap enough it can add it to the other collection of other games it carries there by broadening the appeal of it general subscription and possibly pull in current COH players to it's other titles.
Also PR wise it's much needed boost to their beleaguered corporate image amongst many in the MMO community as a whole. They get to be the good guys for once and save COH.
This is just my weak educated guess based off of what little I know about SOE. -
Ah got it. It's like the old "test" launcher. Thanks, Chad. I didn't scroll down :P

according to that link the NC Launcher is suppose to have a selection for the Beta download but I don't see it on mine.

It's been a while since I've accessed the test server. Just so I'm clear on this:
The Beta sever is the second sever that shows up under the training room sever from time to time on the COH Test sever list. So you would actually launch the COH test then click on the "Beta" server. It doesn't have a separate link to launch it, right?
I'd much rather ask a pointless question and be sure than not ask and find out that I have to start all over again. -
Zwillinger, my younger brother's going out with Dibble this weekend, sir, but I'm not having my hair cut today sir, so do I move my clothes down to the lower peg?
