Is Self Destruct working just fine for everyone else? When I used it just now, I died but there was no animation and I didn't do any damage to anyone around me and there was no knockback. Also I didn't fall over or disappear or anything. The Go to Hospital button popped up and the enemies ignored me but I was still standing there as if I hadn't died at all, more like I was immobilized.

Are newbies who have never done this before allowed? Also, is it only open for 50's?
-
Did you manage to fix it? I'm also on XP and have a European account and I can't seem to fix it by following/adapting the above advice.

To make a boss run away without failing the mission, can't you just uncheck the bubble that says that defeating the boss is necessary to completing the mission?
As for bosses not spawning next to objects, I have to agree that is EXTREMELY annoying. You would even need it in the example they give for the spawn chains: that a boss shows up after you get his treasure, complaining about how his treasure alarm keeps going off. I have one mission published and I think the story is severely hampered because the final boss doesn't spawn next to the object after you pick it up.
And I'm definitely with you on bookmarks and tags, as I have been since the moment I first started using MA. -
You would just have to test out different maps to get one where it would work. Any small map should be automatically fine, and it would work on most linear maps.
-
Why would they be different if they are all spawned by the same thing?
-
Oh really? That's too bad.
Can't they rely on the non-English players to report inappropriate content? -
You don't need five different custom groups. Just five individual characters, each one set as a boss mission objective.
-
Can't you just set them as bosses and have it spawn the five individual bosses?
-
I'm not sure I like this. Players are encouraged to play the arcs that have already received lots of attention, but there is no encouragement to play undiscovered arcs.
-
This is great, but I also think that we shouldn't be afraid to publish arcs in our native languages. I would definitely play arcs in Swedish. Not to mention, it would be a really awesome way to practice a language you're learning.
If it weren't for that unfortunate 3 mission limit, I would have done all my arcs in both Swedish and English. -
But we can work to improve this state of affairs by reviewing and rating.

You linked to a suggestion for a suggestion forum, not a whole MA forum.

Ah, I see. I just assumed this sort of stuff would be out of the beta forums by now since it's not beta anymore. Sorry for that.
But a critique is a little different from a review. A review is just to let people know how they liked it. A critique tells people every little thing they can change to make it better. -
Am I just being a noob? Someone told me they left a comment on my mission, but I never got a tell.
-
Could it be because someone clicked the "Report for Content" button?
-
Pardon me for stating the obvious, but don't we need a forum for the Mission Architect?
-
Last two times I posted in the bugs forum, it turned out that the "bugs" were actually by design, so let's give this another try.
When in MA, I wanted to have two patrols in the mish, both using my custom enemies. This worked fine for the first patrol, but it wouldn't let me for the second. When I tried to select the group from the drop-down menu, it just said "none." So I could have custom enemies for the first patrol, but only standard enemies for the second.
Bug or something noobish I'm doing? -
I'd like to have some system where I critique your mish and you critique mine. I just want to make fun missions that people enjoy, so I want to get better at it. Would anyone like this kind of arrangement? We could perhaps "make a date" to team up and all play each other's mishes and then give each other critique.
Alternatively, we could make a thread for it where people just post the name of their mish. Not sure how well that would work, though, because a bunch of people would be asking everyone to critique their mission without critiquing anyone else's first and it could get pretty spammy.
What do you folks think? -
I'm not going to make a char just for this, but it will definitely be how I do my next new char. I am so. very. sick. of Kalinda and Burke's missions. I never want to see a snake again.

That wasn't funny the first 75 times someone did it.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!
Okay, I get it now. Thank you.
