  1. I haven't seen this explicitly asked or answered anywhere so I have to ask myself.

Do enhancements that add a 10% chance to disorient stack on top of powers that already have a chance to disorient/stun? So if Pounding Slugfest [Disorient Bonus] is slotted into Barrage (10% chance to stun) does that give the power a 20% chance to stun?
  2. Okay, maybe there is a better, more obvious name (Pressure Points seems kind of lame), but this seems pretty accurate for the overall idea. I really don't know which archtype should have this powerset, but I'd say it's mainly debuffing and controlling.

Basically, it's attacking pressure points. So a hero or villain attacks a target and it may immobilize them, hold them, reduce the target's damage resistance, reduce the target's recovery rate or whatever. To keep somewhat in line with reality though, these attacks would have to be dealt within melee range. This could take a fair amount of time to balance out I know. Since it only affects one target at a time it may warrant low endurance requirements, quick recharge, or an overall stronger affect than normal controllers/debuffers would have on single targets.

Thinking up different "powers" for this set would probably be easy, but the hardest thing would probably be thinking up different animations for essentially the same movement (direct striking of pressure points).

Also, you'd have to ignore some of the realities, like robots and ghosts really don't have pressure points the way organic beings do.

    CoH Updater

I wanted to install CoH on my laptop and my discs are older than dirt so I just downloaded the files through a torrent. I got about 100kB/s on average. Now I'm using the updater to get the latest patch data at a blistering 34kB/s.

I've seen other updaters from other games do it, I'd like it if the City of Heroes Updater had peer-to-peer capabilities to speedup downloads.
  4. Did I read that correctly? "[Y]ou can no longer 'Escape debt' by being defeated by a PC after taking massive damage from NPCs." Who in the hell has ever implemented that strategy?!? Are you saying someone can keep PCs at bay until the moment they're about to die?

If this is implemented I don't think anyone would try to attack a NPC in a PvP zone again. Raise your hand if you've ever defeated a slew of NPCs then got sucker punched by a Hero or Villian when your health was low. *raises hand*

PvP zones weren't made for killing NPCs, they were made for killing PCs, not because there's no debt, but because it's a greater challenge.
  5. Does anyone have a link to a current Dark Melee/Regen guide? I usually take time off from City of Heroes while I'm in school. When I came back I realized that Instant Healing is not a toggle anymore?!?!? Not to mention it takes like 2 minutes to recharge. Can someone explain to me why (if at all) my character is worth playing anymore?
  6. Thanks for the suggestion tpull. I guess I shouldn't be thinking about a never-ending supply of endurance until I get Stamina. Right now though I take out villans faster so I use less endurance in the long run.
  7. Maybe I just forgot what it is like to be a low level scrapper again, but is there a horrible endurance drain with this character type? So far I have Thunder Kick, Crane Kick, Cobra Strike, and Storm Kick. Storm and Thunder Kick both have two endurace reducers each. Crane Kick and Cobra Strike have one endurance reducer each. In small battles I'm consantly standing around waiting for my endurance to come back for another hit.
