Can you change lady grey back in 16 too?

    Please
  3. But then Arakhn and Requim lead a rebellion against the Council towards the end of the warshade arc...so Arakhn joined just to rebel a few years later.

Answer: The Nictus have been around for a very long time. They have their own agenda regardless of their current allies. Several years ago many Nictus chose to side with the Council as they took over the 5th Column from within but the recent rise of Reichsman has certainly put the Council’s power base at risk. The Center, the leader of the Council, has a long standing alliance with the Nictus but history teaches us that alliances are rarely permanent.
Why would the Nictus side with the Council to take over the 5th when Requiem(AKA the Dirge of Entrophy) was leading the 5th, so they controlled it already and if they wanted the 5th in the council for access to it would have been alot easier to tell him to join rather than have a wasteful fight.

    Shields disagrees.
Fire Aura would like to speak to shields about being an offensive armor set.

How exactly is Mind Control not synergestic with Empathy?

    [/ QUOTE ]
How does being able to affect the thoughts and actions of others translate to the ability to close and heal wounds and restore the recently dead to life?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Mind Control is a Psychic-based control set. Empathy is a Psychic-based buff/healing set. Thematically, they work for all intents and purposes. I don't see why you feel the need to include something that will, functionally, end up replicating similar, if not the exact same effects, to Empathy when it already exists. Infact, they've done that already - it's called 'Pain Domination'.

    [/ QUOTE ]
There's nothing "psychic" about Empathy or Pain Domination, you're actually physically healing your targets, not just making them think they're better.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Pain Domination is entirely based on mental control. You don't actually 'heal' anyone, you just make them ignore any pain they might be feeling.

Kind of like how someone hopped up on PcP can demonstrate feats of 'invulnerability'.

Which is why it's a villainous powerset.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Old post yes...but I really need to vent this

Why did you call this Pain Domination then? When you could have called it "Charisma" which is closer to Empathy than Domination, and is something alot of the better villains out there exhibit in spades.

Guys, Nathan Fillion shouldn't play every role ever.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No..but he should atleast get to play something.

Firefly, Castle and Doc Horrible are all cool and whatnot but Fillion has yet to really have a huge role.
  8. Speaking of Reich...is there a reason his Fist of..whatever is Negative instead of Regular Energy like his Counterpart, and while I am thinking of it why doesn't Tyrant have it at all?

    I loves the Magic pack.

Doctor Orpheus, second only to Dr. Henry Killinger and his Magic Murder Bag.
  10. I asked this before, but I want to put it back out there.

Is the Nictus That Merged with Romulus Augustus in the last Mission of the Iperious Task Force The Dirge of Entropy?
  11. I took him out with my Merc/Storm on a Pug in about 20 Minutes of real fighting, the Spawns gave us more problems than Reich Did, aside from him Gutting my Pets, but again that comes down to the possibility that slows affect the Recharge of his phase, without it he ain't tough.

Also I have Gutted Rommy in four minutes as well, but alot of how Fighting Rommy fares depends on how the Nicti Act.
  12. *raises hand* I am probably gonna get shouted down on this, but my Objective experience with the SF is very good, Did it on my Mastermind (merc/Storm) and my Crab Spider and both had a blast, the ambushes let me go nuts with the storm powers and Crab Spiders are great AOE killing machines, Riech in the Villain Side of the Storyline is a push over compared to the Heroes one(makes sense since he gets help).

The Hero one is a Wimp Version of Rommy with a weaker stun, even if it does Damage and Much weaker AV help Countess Crey, Falcon and Vanessa didn't even cause the team to hiccup in terms of Surival and were all dead in less than a minute, Nemesis lasted a bit longer cause he Poped PFF, but they are way easier to deal with than the -Damage -Recharge -Tohit in Twilight Grasp, The Dark Obliteration Type Power and the Army of Nicti that can occur in the ITF if you are unlucky.

Also, against Redside Reich, Slows seem to be really effective in keeping the Phase powers from recharging constantly, but I could be wrong.

I should point out that the aforementioned sets that everyone has a problem with, Empathy and Force Field, aren't exactly sunshine and rainbows to solo on a controller either. Earth and Illusion would bite the big one with their low damage (or in the latter, near inability to achieve constant containment), while some like Plant Control and Ice Control sit squarely in the middle with some form of constant containment.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My SOs Earth/Empathy Controller Solos just as fine if not better than my IOed Rad/Dark Defeder.
  14. Ooh thats a good one Penguin, can we get a European answer to that as well?

After defeating someone like Frostfire, the Hellions don’t hold a lot of challenge for a hero and it’s time to move up to greater threats.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You meant to say Outcasts instead of Hellions, correct? Also, any chance of the Hellions actually getting their own AV/EB at any point in the future? And the Skulls too? It seems like just about every other group has some big-wig calling the shots except them (I'm not remembering every group right now, there's probably others without AV/EBs too, and I wouldn't be against them getting their own as well). Vahzilok have Dr. Vahzilok, Clockwork have the Clockwork King, CoT have quite a few, Outcasts have Frostfire, all of the higher level groups have at least one AV. Even if the Hellions and Skulls are just rival gangs in a never-ending turf war, it seems that there should be more than just a few named bosses running the show.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hellions have 3K Kelvin, and Supposedly have a leader, and the Skulls have Brothers that lead it, The Hellion Leader is likely just a Fire/Fire Insert AT here, and the Skull leaders are probably a Dark/Dark corr and a Dark/Dark Brute.
  16. Is the Nictus that Romulus Fused with in the Fourth Mission of the ITF The Nictus Named the Dirge of Entropy, who eventually became the Nictus Half of Requim?

Since its a sketchy subject,Do Warwolves and Vampires that the Council and the 5th use come from Fragmented Nicti, and if they do are the Minotaurs and Cyclopes also born from Nicti Fragments.

And on a Non Nicti Note, Is there a Prime Universe version of the Battalion who the Rikti fought against?
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Nearly every power listed in that thread had its Recharge and End cost increased. This is not a good thing for drawing in new Dom players, if that was the idea behind all of this.

    [/ QUOTE ]

True But Pre-Stamina most everything has fits of endurance woes so its not like its that big of a deal, and with Domination being free to do something other than be a damage Crutch, while you are a lowbie you can pop it in longer fights for the Blue Bar Boost.
  18. Pro : Doing Story arcs is worth something now

Cons : Doing some TFs yield less Risk/Reward than story arcs.
  19. @da captain - when you were comparing SR and bane defense you listed pool powers that SR has acess to as well, and SR has elude to give an extra boost defense against stronger opponents, plus scaling resists and debuff resistance.

They have the same number of powers, except Night Widow who get a few less, oddly. They're just in different places.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Nightwidows don't get any redraw off of the blood widow powers unless the widow has used one of the few Psy Powers they have, Banes(leaving crabs out of this since their primary is just an upgraded Wolf Spider one) that take the wolf powers have to switch between weapons, and aside from Venom Grenade there's nothing that is that great.

Also if Banes are ment as blappers, why are the Banes Mace Powers not alot better than their Patron Counterparts.
  21. The odd thing is that The Banes could have easily been given more powers in their secondary, Forts and Nights each have more than four powers.
  22. Hover doesn't give any KB Mitigation anymore.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
The subject of Bane Spiders effectiveness has been brought up over and over again. I'm not of the opinion that they need buffs but I have noticed several oddities that are counter to their role as Defense based meleers. I'd like to get a discussion going as to whether those oddities need correcting and, if so, how to go about doing it. I'll start by listing what I've noticed.

<ul type="square">[*] Banes lack Defense debuff resistance. This is a well known bit of information that some consider an oversight. Compounding the issue is that they have no other means of reacting to such debuffs. Self-heals and other common methods have to be picked up from power pools.
[*] Banes' have higher ranged Defense than melee Defense. For a toon that's intended to stay in melee range, particularly one that's capable of closing with foes without being detected (And therefore reducing its chances of facing ranged attacks) this is counter intuitive and can be very detrimental under certain circumstances.
[*] Banes lack a Tier 9 God Mode power. Other Defense based powersets (Most notably Super Reflexes and Night Widow Teamwork) contain powers that drastically increase Defense for a period of time. Banes have no such capability.[/list]
While none of the things listed above are crippling to Banes (At least I haven't noticed any such thing while playing mine), they do stand out as a bit strange when considering the role Bane Spiders are designed to take on.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The main issue with banes, is that 2 of the powers in the secondary should have been in the Primary, leaving way for two survivability powers there, and losing two of the blasts wouldn't have hurt that badly for ranged builds, since the BS Patron blasts are arguably as good as the bane Mace Blasts.

Also, Hide not giving VEATs the AOE defense aggravated me to no end as a Bane.
  24. [ QUOTE ]
Let's stop looking at AVs by themselves with this feature. How about we look at something that's supposed to take many many people to take down? Let's say... Hamidon? If I recall correctly, Hami has 75%+ resists to all. What happens if you add armor breaking? Hami becomes horrifically easy. 50 heroes beating on one target with only 20% resistances? Yeah, it's not going to last that long, no matter how much health you give it. You'll wind up trivializing content that's supposed to take lots of players and coordination to take down. Of course, you could make them "immune", but then we wind up with Arcana's post.

And for trivia, going back to my last post, the attack chain is gapless and has AH procs on Slash and Disembowel. So, you'd be looking at even less than 20% resist on whatever AV I or anyone else with a similar attack chain and build was attacking.

Also, I have to ask, what if the AV only has 15% resistance to the armor breaker's damage type? Does armor breaker simply not work, making it pointless? Or is the resistance broken down to zero? What if the target (AV or otherwise) has only 9% resistance?

    [/ QUOTE ]

That may not be a problem, I believe that Hami Hard Caps Debuffing at 5%(as in, he will only ever lose 5% of anything) so a Resistance debuff in that manner may be laughed at by him.

    Huntsman Build

If you take atleast the Patron Hold from a Patron you can get something to Immob an entire group when combined with Wide Area Web Gernade.
