Those are both great!
I'm going to be printing several sheets out tonight to label the bags we have already assembled. So I'll be sure to get pictures of how they all turn out.
I love the inspiration reference Airhead, I'll clean it up a bit tonight in Photoshop when I get home though it looks awesome for just a scanned doodle.
You guys rock! I'm going to enjoy giving these out to the devs, I'll be sure to hopefully get pictures of them with them.

You mean the HeroBox? The one that should have an image and your character details?

I'm not so worried about the extra traffic I just like that it's for a good cause and maybe one of the devs will get a chuckle out of it. I commend you Ransim for all the work you are doing to support a great charity (wish they'd had toys and games for hospitalized children when I was a kid).

Two days after my tonsillectomy in the hospital and having ET to watch and games to play made the whole thing go by faster. Three weeks with my younger brother while he had salmonella poisoning and the toy room made a huge difference.
So I enjoy supporting child's play, I know from experience how much just a toy or a video can help.
Well and the con goers appreciate the snacks too, so its win win. -
Had a couple minutes today so I printed out the first sheet of labels to test it out.

Hopefully for anyone who takes the few minutes to do a doodle this will get you a bit of traffic.
As I get more printed I'll post what they look like. I'm still working on a few layout kinks. -

I'm almost done with the color pictures, which are the ones that are the most time consuming. I've posted a list of characters for whom I still need to do a black and white sketch. But since the project has taken so long I thought I'd give these people the option of changing to another character if they wanted.
Cherry's picture is a bit bittersweet since I've retired her. -
Giving myself a bit of a creative break, did some work on a couple of my pages:
Reformated my User page a bit, moved some characters to inactive and separated my work in progress pages for active characters.
Added lots more content to Trioxin.
Started a page for my Archery Blaster Winter Raserei. -

I was actually going to just do a pretty standard list of flavors and ingrediants, the bags will be mixed, not sure I'll have much room with all of that on a 2x4 label. I was really just thinking cute little self contained doodles or mini-chibis.
This is what I was thinking of. Ideally this way I could keep the text the same and swap out the image, and its crediting easily. I also won't need to mark them as being for Child's Play, almost everyone at PAX knows the Cookie Brigade is giving out noms for Child's Play and the distributors will make sure anyone who doesn't knows when they get the noms.

So right now I have about 200 bags of candy worth of candy (probably be more by PAX maybe double the amount). The labels are 10 to a sheet. So I could do 20 different designs right now. -
I hope this isn't completely out of line but I know there are lots of artists here and its not a community I'm very actively involved in.
I'm currently working on making candy (shaped like space invaders) for PAX East. These will be given out for the Cookie Brigade, which takes donations while giving out candy and cookies and other treats to expo goers. All of the donations go to support Child's Play.
I'm looking for doodles I can put on the labels i'm putting on the candy (has description of flavors and ingredients). They'd need to be simple, black and white and appeal to gamers and others in the nerd/geek culture. Also bonus points if you make them CoH based I will mob to developers and make them take some at the Panel or Meet & Greet.
Doodles can be anything, I will also happily put your name and a short URL with them if you want. I'll most likely be using a large avery mailing label (most likely 2"x4") and a black and white laser printer to print these off and slap them on the ziplock snack bags the candy is going into.
Sorry if this is too far out there are an unacceptable post just let me know and I'll blank it. -
Yes, please always check the stickied thread on the VirtueVerse twitter account I try to keep them both updated with the status and new features.
The site is now back up, but read only for about another 30 minutes while I do some testing.

MySQL is back up, and running properly, and the sites should be unlocked for editing in about an hour, I'm running some tests right now.
I'm sorry for the extended downtime, but I wanted to take my time and make sure this was done properly the first time to avoid larger issues down the line.
Lessons learned? Whoever designed InnoDB transaction processing needs to die in a fire.
Absolutely no data was lost, and I need everyone to be vigilante and report any errors to me that you experience. The first 48 hours are going to be critical in catching anything that might be amiss.

Update
We got bit in the rear by a MySQL bug, its going to require me to restore the databases for both Union and Virtue. No worries though no data was lost, the sites are still intact! The issue lies not in the data itself but in a file that supports the data.
Unfortunately I can't just replace that file. I needed to stop the web servers to keep the load on the server low while I make backups and do what needs to happen to fix this issue.
I'm very sorry for the extended down time! You guys will have to go without your Union fix until later tonight or tomorrow. -
