I moved some stuff around, best thing to do is pull them both up side by side and compare. I tried to decrease your rule of 5 break.

End result I reduced your Auto Fire recharge. I swapped out Fly for Super speed. Super speed has a inherit stealth component that combines with cloaking device. Making you more "Stealthier" ( don't even know if that is correct wording ). So you can now speed to end of missions to complete them a bit faster if you need to. Only high perception mobs like Rikti Drones and Snipers will see you. Eat a purple or two inspirations and zip by them. The only thing is you will need to find a safe spot until your cloaking device reactivates. Once your spotted you will remain spotted because each new mob resets your cloaking device timer.

But when not around these type of high perception mobs you could have super speed on and hover with cloaking device and hover around mobs unnoticed. Good for stealth cave missions. You could also buy a jetpack with the same results.

I see you picked up resuscitate, I don't know if its because you have a steady team or you were just picking something. If its the former then okay np. But if its the latter then pick something else. I pug a lot and to me its up to you to handle yourself. I try to make my toons self contained and able to solo higher then normal settings. Just so know I can handle team type setting much easier.

EDIT: I would take one slot out smoke and put it in health. You loose 2% damage but gain more health and regen.

I was going to try this, got to level 13 solo and on teams. Then got an invite to a farm for prestige and got to level 31. Well there goes that idea. But I did try your invention idea and see how it works out. If it doesn't of course I will blame you.

I think you need to read up on the game mechanics around this game. Purple is not always better. I can understand because in some games purple con items are the best in everything. Here that does not exactly hold true as it depends on what your going for. If I need defenses purples offer me nothing for example.

As was previously mentioned look at the Retrofitting AR Device thread and see how people are slotting purples in there as well.

AR / Device retrofitting thread is about 4 below yours.. I am pretty sure it has a bunch of builds and insight your looking for. Plus its pretty much what New Dawn said.

Just wondering if someone could share the Celestial RIFLE image. It is the only rifle that will be added to Arachnos huntsman beyond the steam punk one. Just looking to see what it looks like. Google just shows the pistol image.

Seperate comment to hover board. I'm not able to get into beta due to mac client problems.

But I would imagine hover board would require some flight power like hover or fly. Again just talking out of backside as I don't know. So you might need to have one slot open somewhere, I would say placate if anything

This is my build there are some slight differences. My regen is 105% higher then yours and you do 20% more damage due to assault. I have super speed with stealth IO. I have it just to increase my -perception towards stealth aware mobs. EG Rikti Drones and sniper type mobs.

I would suggest just remove SS and pick up Assault. Remove 1 IO slot in Placate and place it in health with the Miracle unique. This way your regen is 105% higher and you have what you want. I know bile spray and such might not be in your concept, but bile and artic breath do nice damage. Someone mentioned in a post and I tested it out.. It really nice. check it out on test if anything.

I also noticed which is not the end of the world, but just mentioning your just short on AOE positional with 44.34..

I'm not a big fan of Pain Domination, though I have a 50 DS / PD..

PvP wise I did have issues with one DS /PD on these forums. I couldn't kill him, but then again my toon was not a PvP toon. Not making any excuse at all. If PvP were based around PvE toons it would be much more fun. But it is not. I don't see you lasting that long in PvP unless you come across a guy like me in the zone.

Pain is just lacking something.
You can't defense cap with it and you can only heal for so much so fast. it just seems like your always playing catch up with the build.

I would suggest Thermal. I think many others would as well.

I know Bot/Trap is the cliche but I would make that instead, this way you can farm with him and run missions on higher settings. If a team is going to take anything it would probably be a Bots Trap if they know anything about Masterminds.

Pull the build into mids and just 6 slot tough.

Do a search in MID for set bonuses and you will see your limited in S/L resistance choices.

What you will find is no matter how you cut it your talking about 38% S/L resistance and that is 6 slotting tough. 1 slot gives you about 32% S/L resistance.

Personally not sounding callus, which really is not my intention.

But if your discussing optimum build based on your budget. Who cares what a team likes. Your defense capped and can handle certain mobs on a 4/8 setting solo. Again personally if some guy or gal on my team is running SOs on a concept build or theme build I wouldn't care less, because today in anything beyond incarnate missions you don't need 8 players. I've done ITF with 5 players and my Triage beacon was the healer.

So I am happy to have that RP or crazy concept build on the team but I surely do not want hear them complain how much they are dying because they barely can handle a 0/4 setting.

I think team wise you are more then considerate with your build.

If more players created builds to handle higher settings then a full team of these types of players would clearly have an easier time against highest settings.

If anything skip the resistance, eat a few orange inspirations and pick up aid other and aid self. Heck now you can even heal someone. What more could someone want now. You give them defenses you can tank and you can heal. OMG !! YOUR A GOD !!!

Okay I'm a bit over the top but you get my point.

I have a defense cap bane build with no pet which has a health regeneration of 265%. Is your around that ? Maybe your regeneration is might be too low.

Whats the recharge on your pets ? I'm assuming Call reinforcements which is a 900 second recharge. Even at a decent recharge on your build I will say your at 300 seconds. That is 5 minutes assuming the pets survive the full 4 minutes. I had those pets and unless your slotting for Barrier incarnate to boost their defenses whats the point ? They are not glass cannons but still fragile enough to get dead or 1/2 dead from a AV or EB AOE attack.

They are NOT bad I just don't think they are key to the build maybe.

Did you get defense cap via slotting or did you incorporate Cloaking Device Suppression into your build ?

Again there are some variables that could be addressed before you just go respecing just for S/L resistance.

Post the build and lets see if we can look for some other weaknesses.

Nutshell looking to make a huntsman and just wondering if anyone knows if the guns for Huntsman are going to be updated or have more options then they currently do on beta character builder screen, which is pretty much the current choices. I just don't like the huntsman gun.

Can they get the gun unlocks from killing mobs ? I am getting the impression no. But I'm not always right either. At least that is what my wife tells me.

Just wondering if anyone has checked out i21 to see if changing builds allows you to spec out of the crab pack.

I would like to make a Huntsman but it certainly would be much easier if I could just use my Crab 2nd or 3rd build for that instead of making a new toon.

I would say Traps.

Full positional Cap debuffs. Known to kill AVs / GMs.. More then enough builds out here that you can port over to any AT with minor changes.

Overall all my Traps toons Defender, Corruptor and Mastermind all have the same sets slotted, along with similar power pool slotting. What is different is the attack powers which need to be slotted accordingly to fix the shortages in defenses from one build to another.
