My current rig is not cutting edge, but at present this is the only game I play and it seemed to be doing fine a few weeks ago. ... I'm at a loss for what I should even tweak.

Of course, I'm not a dev, but I can give you some feedback on what worked for me.

When I upgraded my laptop to 2GB RAM, about 98% of my lag and rubberbanding issues went away. This may be what we call in the debugging arena a "clue."

There are times when the performance is still laggy, and I haven't checked out a nice sized team mish yet, but this is what I can report has worked for me.

I am suspecting that the game has grown, in terms of memory requirements, to the point where minimum system requirements need to be updated - or someone needs to slim down some code. I'm just sayin'.

I went from 1gig to 2gigs and also noticed a great improvement.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but...

I try to run with my inspirations bin full, or close to it, as much as possible. I believe that this is true of many if not all players.

The latest patch seems to have added the 'feature' that when the inspiration bin is full, the "Inspirations" text in your tray turns red, much like when you have an email. The color red is typically used to attract one's attention to a problem or something that requires action (such as when your enhancement tray fills up, and you might wish to delete or sell some). However, having a full bin of inspirations is not a problem; it is the desired situation.

The result, therefore, is that I now have a red warning light on my "dashboard" telling me that... I have a full tank of gas? What? Am I supposed to start deleting inspirations to "make room"?

Please roll this change back. I do not need to (almost) constantly see a bright red word on my tray telling me that ... everything is fine, actually.

I always have at least one open. On higher level toons I have 2-3 open and eat (delete awakens), as they come in.

The 'red' inspirations did not bother me. It would not bother me one way or the other.

  4. Hi, I want to bind my 4 key. I have tried many combinations using this thread, but cannot get it right. The lclick & teleport bind is nice, but somtimes I try to click a foe & miss. Then I am somewhere I do not want to be. Tabbing will get me to the target I want, but it takes too long with many foes around me. Here is one that I think is close but will not activate. The circles do come up:

    /bind 4 "lbutton$$powexec_name teleport"

I would settle for press 4 for rings & then press R for activate. I will be forever gr8ful for help :-D
  5. TYVM I found 'Ranged Tanking' very helpful. I used to shy away from teaming with scrappers because of a heavy melee or AoE attack. Another helpful pearl is when teaming with a controller, the only aggro'r should be the tank. It helps the hold.
