Glad the art is well recieved despite being non-CoH >.<; I really will do some more CoH art eventually! <,< I even did a piece recently, but it came out less-than-show-worthy; so >.> <.< its not going up.

But I did have an idea recently I may try... if I do it, you'll see at least 3 pieces of CoH/WH40k/Other art all combined into single pieces. I'm not sure if I'm going ot do it yet; as my Faces of Feline thing never took off like I'd intended it to. But if I do it I'll let ya know >.<

I've been working on this for a loooooong while; but just a bit at a time.

I didn't initially plan to post it here except in my Squirrel Tree thread; because well... its not CoH; and I know its probably irritating to have me posting up so much non-CoH art all the time <_ _>;

Nevertheless - this one really pleased me. Its not perfect - but...

Well I'll let you all be the judge of if you think I've grown as an artist or not.

Sorry for being moody for the last several months btw everyone. I'm bipolar (only diagnosed a couple months ago); and while thats not really an excuse; I feel I should at least mention it. I'm trying my best to deal with it; but I just want people to know that my mood shifts are pretty arbitrary, and that no matter how annoying I can be, I really do like this place and all you people. I wouldn't come back so much if I didn't, ya know?

But anyway, yeah, the art >.< I hope you all like it!

I recommend making sure you're 100% happy with it before posting. >.< It just helps to have the confidence of "Yep, this is definitely what I want people to see" - otherwise re-reading things when they get revised can become tedious and seem a bit retconish.

Bleh and double bleh. There's nothing specific thats happened or going on or anything; but I'm in kind of a funk. Only reason I'm posting is because I don't want people thinking I just up and vanished. I posted some contact info in my sig in case anyone has a reason to get a hold of me. I'll probably still be here on the boards to a degree; but I've not felt like myself, which has kept my posting to a minimum; that, and my art has been... poor lately.

Like I said, bleh. I'll snap out of it, and hopefully before too long there'll be pictures again. Till then, eh, who knows?

Well, I had decided against the Mascot thing hehe <;_;> that was the original idea; but I tried to explain that thats not what I ended up thinking of >.<;

So instead I was just looking for some ideas to come up with a new character to draw, just for kicks <'x'>

So, I've been in a bit of a creative drought lately >.< Few new alts, no story ideas, no real character ideas... my drawings have almost entirely focused on established characters of mine.... etc etc...

Now traditionally on these forums, one would offer a queue to get the creative juices pumping. Unfortunately, anyone who knows my record with queues understands my reason for not offering one <,< Its not that I don't want to - its that I suck *horribly* at doing other people's characters. I don't know if its just my wandering mind; or if I'm just a self-centered jerk... but I can't get into drawing other people's characters very often <_ _>

But I had an idea today:

What if I hold a poll, here on the forums, and after two or so rounds of voting, I draw the character that we, as a group, crafted? Initially I was thinking maybe a forum mascot - but as cool as that is; I think I'd like to stick to something a bit more serious, or at the least, largely human.

So here's what I'm asking you to do, if you have the time, interest, and inclination - Fill out this form!

1) Male or Female?

2) Type (Human, Robot, Elf, Catperson, etc... Can't do anthromorphs though, not that I don't like them, I just royally suck at doing anything that isn't 90%+ human anatomically speaking; unless its a robot)

3) Skin tone (Everything from the normal human color range to the exotic pinks and blues)

4) Eyes - Color, any make-up (for males as well if you like)

5) Lip color (Including lip stick or if its a natural shade)

6) Hair Color

7) Hair Style

8) Body Type - Heavyset, average, gorgeous, etc...

9) Height

10) Actual weight (Even a heavy individual may not show it, and a surprisingly light individual can look rather heavy)

11) Choose up to 3 descriptor words for this character's personality. They may be 2-word phrases, but no more.

12) Names - Include one male and one female


How this thing is going to work; is that tomorrow, at least 24 hours from now, but possibly a bit longer than that, I'll tally up what everyone has said. The most popular of each will be pitted against each other in a run off vote the next day. Once that vote is finished; I'll give drawing this character a shot!

I intend to color the picture, but we'll see if I get that far.

I do however promise you all, at the *very* least, I'll give you a nice pencil drawing, or maybe inks (depending on which looks better to me at the time). Colors are the aim; but like I said, I'm notoriously bad at this kind of thing >.<

So, anyone game?

Years ago I was really into kendo <,<; I still practice now and again; but anyway, at the time I was just performing a basic kata in our back yard...

Well, I was a little too fast, and wasn't paying enough attention; and instead of making a nice even cutting motion from shoulder to hip... it wound up with the handle of the sword going straight into my... tender parts. >.<;

Why do I tell you this? Because that picture brings back unpleasant memories <X_X> Srsly, watch what you're doing when you play with swords; its not just the blade that can hurt ya!
