Smash try the coding if that doesn't work then try calling tech support better to talk to them over the phone they might have more coding to solve ur issue

true ok my spec r as follows

windows vist home basic 32 bit
ram 2 GB
cpu Intel Pentium dual 1.47 GHz
intel integreted graphics

ok all i found something that solved my crash issue a bit of coding the devs gave me but VERY case sensitive follow directions to the letter




1. right click on CoH shortcut
2. click on properties
3.click on shortcut tab at top
4. go to target window "C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe"
5. after the last " press space once
6. enter the following code exactly -useTexEnvCombine
7. click on apply then ok
8. right click on CoH then click run as admin.

I am in the same boat u r and from what the tech guys told me they are working to make CoH intel compatible but its still far from perfect i have an intel integrated card (rly bad for any game lol) but its all i have you could try going to widows xp instead of vista or win 7 that seems to solve a few of the issues although it is very time consuming.

Well you are right the devs just made a game and every comp is different but i have ran though the driver updates and even reformatted my hard drive still same issues. I would like to say for those who do not do the steps the devs and fellow gamers say you'r SOL sry to say that but the only way to solve something is to listen to those who have more experiance than you do. But with that said when you have done all the devs told you and listened to other gamers advice and still no fix then yes it is ncsoft's responsibility to solve this (this is a company and we r paying for service) at the same time CoH does use high graphics demand and for those who have an intel graphics card well ur SOL according to the devs intel has a lot of problems my recommendation is if u have an intel graphics card go get a new one ATI, Radeon, Nvidia. This has solved most issues with game. GL for those who are working to solve this and TY for those who are trying to help.

not calling names just saying they need to get better programmers and also get rid of the open GL they used to format the game coding (open GL is crap) also am working with devs on phone atm and they agree building the game with open GL coding was a very bad idea. But it was the only was to make the game run upon its first release. Now they are trying to change coding while game is up and running which anyone knows is a huge feat to do i.e. iss 17 so yes we all need to wait till they figure out how to solve this problem many of us seem to be experiancing.

yay i love the devs!!!!! lol well so those of us with intel just wait around and wast money on a game we cant play lol

I am having the same issue with the game. Before the patch on 5/4/2010 came out I could play the CoH fine. Now with this update I am crashing every 15-35 min in the game. In my opinion the Devs r morons same **** happened when CoV came out seems they cant update without causing more issues then the ones they say they fixed. Best bet is wait till they pull their head outa their ***

have tried that ty and still crashing it seems to be getting worse any other ideas out there?

thank you and sorry about improper English just kinda PO'ed but i am working with the tech's and they do not seem to have a clue how to fix it. I have heard that the intel integrated card has tons of issues with CoH.

yep i do but i havent had the appcrashes sine today played fine last night.

I dont know whats going on just wanted to say ur not the only one my friend my game keeps crashing everytime i get in mish. I dont think the devs know wtf is going on seems they have major issues every time they creat an expasion. same stuff happend when CoV came out just hang in there it will be resolved other than that i say we r u the creak without a paddle

can someone help me out plz working with tech support but they dont seem to have an idea of whats going on i keep crashing while in mish major lag spike then screen goes black then coh crashes. This has happened 8 times in a 24 hr period plz help. Also i already have graphics at lowest possible settings
