Just ran it. Failure.
We didn't have any debuffing and just couldn't hurt the AV's in the end mission enough to do any good. We pulled Scorpion first, and handled him pretty easily. Next, Mako. Mako took FOREVER. Let me reiterate: FOUR EV AH! Next, Scirocco, with his terrible blasty thing that stuns and hurts REAL bad. And that's where we lost it. We could not damage him enough to make any difference. Keep in mind, we were on the boat and were swarming him.
Also, I thought controllers were supposed to be actually useful in this TF? I really couldn't do much against any av's--except spam heals...sigh. If I put down quicksand, the AV's bolted. Volcanic Gas, they bolted. Holds lasted seconds, and only after the two controllers on the team really really laid down every hold they had. As one of the controllers, I can honestly say that my secondary--empathy--was MUCH more useful than my primary power set. That's sucky.
A debuffer almost feels necessary. I know a few of you mentioned doing it without, but we were certainly without season. In fact, I'm sure that everyone on the team said, at least once, "Boy, we really need a rad."
All in all, it was fun--except for the last mission. That was just frustrating. Even if we would have actually won, I would still be here writing about how frustrating it was. I mean, it took us AN HOUR for EACH of the final lvl 54 AV's. That's a bit crazy.
The Team (all 50's), as much as I can remember
2 tanks
3 scrappers
1 fire/kin
1 earth/emp
1 blaster
Our one tank quit after Aeon.
Verdict? I would make sure I have a defender next time, probably a debuffer.
P.S. Sorry about the disjointed post, but I'm tired as all get out, and my poor eyes are buggy from hours and hours of AV beatdowns. -

It doesn't make sense for us to set out to help small supergroups and then charge large supergroup Prestige for the items.

Does that mean that other things will be reasonably priced? My SG just got a teleporter after playing cov since the day of release. I would love to be exited about the new base stuff, but, alas, I just don't think we'll be able to afford any of it.
How 'bout it, Posi? Are small SG's gonna get some love? -
I can be on a team that does a dozen missions without one death and then take a cot mission and have three team wipes. CoT pretty much suck.
Had a cot mission the other day that lasted like an hour. I was missing so much--from all those horrible stacked -acc debuffs--that I actually timed how long I went without hitting something. The final tally? Two minutes and 34 seconds. Yep, two and a half minutes of wiffage. And yes, my brute was attacking the whole time. We finally finished the mission with only one team wipe (which, sadly, wasn't bad). I'm pretty sure that mission made me sterile. -
I'm in favor of eliminating all lvl 38 blaster secondary powers and replacing them with a status protection.
EVERYTHING in the upper-lvl game stuns, immob's, sleeps, etc. I understand that devs don't think it's fair that blasters have status protection, but let me just say this: it is no fun at all to be held over and over in a mission.
Sure, we can equip ourselves with tons of breakfree's. But I also need to equip myself with a ton of respites--and quite a few CABs. I just don't have the space for all the inspirations I will need in a mission.
I decided, for fun and what not, to pull out my lvl 50 fire blaster yesterday. I quit in disgust after being chain held by Malta. After playing my corruptor on CoV and my other lvl 50 controller on CoH, I realized that the performance of my blaster is very lackluster. But, even more critical than his performance, my blaster just isn't as fun to play as my other characters.
Simple status protection would do wonders for the playability, survivability, and "funness" of the AT.
Keep in mind, this is written from the perspective of a fire/fire blaster. Other blaster types have some kind of dmg mitigation: (energy, knockback; ice, holds; electricity, end reduction (albeit kind of crappy). Archery and Fire need to have the status protection to balance them with the rest of the blasters in PvE. -

You are a brave, brave soul, making this your first post. Because frankly, I'd put my head through a wall if I had to listen to this list. But whatever makes you happy.

I'm not gonna say much about your list. But I'm with Matsuko on this one. Dude, Faith Hill?! And I can't help but projectile vomit when I hear Mariah Carey's cacophonic screeching.
Here's the mix cd I just made last night (well, the first ten songs):

2. Dance, Dance--Fall Out Boys

I was standing in line in the electronics section of Wal-Mart and heard this song being played over the in-store radio. I felt like a pi$$ed off German for a couple of seconds.
P.S. This is a really cool song, though. -
You know, I can live with the vulnerabilities of my blaster; he's SUPPOSED to have vulnerabilities. The problem I faced was feeling completely useless in teams--even duos.
The question that rolls around in everyone's head: Why team a blaster when I can team a scrapper? Now I'm a blaster through and through, but even I would opt for the scrapper. Why? Well, they do almost as much dmg--I mean, scrappers generally do less dmg than blasters but, let's be realistic, what's the difference between 250 points of dmg and 260?--and they can take a beating. All it takes to kill a blaster is just two baddies turning on him simultaneously. Scrappers don't need a babysitter.
I've said this before and I loathe to repeat it: Blasters are powered correctly; there are other AT's in the game that do egregious things--taking out big groups of +4's and +5's--and blasters have a tendency to get jealous. I have seen--and played--other AT's that absolutely chew up +4's and +5's with NO THREAT to themselves. That's right: NO THREAT WHATSOEVER. Anything white - red offers absolutely no challenge. If that's the case, that the color system is completely arbitrary and only purples put up a challenge, then these particular AT's are overpowered. How can anyone dispute that?
I play an AT-that-shall-remain-nameless that is lvling THREE TIMES AS FAST as my blaster did. I am dying on purpose so I don't outlevel my friends. Of course my mission difficulty is set for invinsible, but even then the missions are so easy they are almost pedestrian.
I think this issue has progressed too far to fix. There are at least 3 or 4 different builds that are nigh-impossible to kill. The only reason blasters are complaining, IMO, is because we have AT envy.
