F***ing awesome job to all that came! Truly, nice effort.
Time was 1:18.
Next stop...Masters run! But thats for another time.
-
ok peeps, there be 1 half hour to go!
*engages scrapperlock* -
Quote:Yeah, the inherit flaw with the current setup is that you can end up waiting (and paying) for years in order to complete that one concept character you though up since you first got the game. Being able to unlock vet costume sets via crafting is fine by me, but stuff like the temp attack powers, the buffing pets, and the City Traveller pick-travel-power-at-6 thing should stay vet-exclusive. Otherwise powergamers will likely turn to goldfarming sites to get enough inf to afford someone's 1,000,000,000 asking price for such recipies. The last thing those goldfarmers need is more encouragement to spam everyone nonstop, yes?
I couldnt agree with you more.
Some of the vet powers are very nice and i would be willing to wait for them but the extra costumes are just for looks and to wait 3 years (if the game continues for that long also) dosnt seem right to me. -
Quote:One of the first things that attracted my attension to this game was the costume editor options and havin a no shorts option seems kinda stupid to me, people wear shorts, heroes wear shorts (the Hulk.) Im just sayin that as wonderful as the costume editor is, it can be limiting and havin to wait 3 years for a pair of shorts seems wrong. The Vet rewards aren't anything gamebreaking, for the most part (I'd say the perma-temp power attacks push the line too far already), and are simply there as a nice reward. Could they change it up a little, so that maybe you get a choice of costume options where each set is awarded? Sure. Should they change it around so that the costumes come first, and the powers later? No.
An option to unlock them like the Roman armour and the different weapons or to simply buy all of the costume unlocks straight out would be good for business. -
-
Quote:As do I.So don't read them. I find the neg comments I get and the current rep implementation amusing.
I like it simply because its hilarious to see what some people think and its not as annoymouse as you might think, just look at the time you were neg rep'd and the time of the replys on the thread or the language used and its fairly easy to see who made the comments.
s'Funny stuff. -
Quote:lol, i love the rep system but dayum Phire...Theres no need to get personal...
What an Illiterate n00b . How arrogant and cocky. And youre not even that strong of a player. You're a joke amongst a lot of us.
*hides home address*
Im fearin for my family and dogs lives now! Might have to build myself a panic room, me thinks. -
Quote:That sounds like a much better idea then mine but i would have to agree it more then likely wont change because the majority of people that could support this idea, wont because they already have most of the badges/temps/unlocks.Im up to 2 years now. But this is one of the many reasons I'd like to see the vet reward system get a complete overhaul. Costume pieces should be made available to everyone ingame. Either thru unlocks or big packs in micro transactions like our super boosters.
Vetrewards should be limited to nifty temp powers, respecs, AE slot tokens, character slots (hey i've received 2 of these already) Closed beta access, Salvage, auction and recipe increases, etc.
It's kinda stupid that you have to wait up to 51 months to get costume pieces. I doubt this will ever change though.
It would be another way for the game to increase its revenue though so maybe it will find some support. *shrugs* -
I couldnt find an existing thread about this and its been on my mind for some time.
There are costume rewards for being subscribed to the game for:
3 months,
6 months,
9 months,
15 months,
18 months,
21 months,
27 months,
30 months,
39 months and
51 months.
I have my 12 month vet badge and reward so the majority of these arent available to me.
I know Veteran Rewards reward time spent playin the game, which is great and Im all for them but costumes arent powers and they arent game breaking in any way, they are fluff, placed there because nothing else could be thought of at that time for that particular Veteran reward, IMO.
The reason i think this is because as far as i know its the only way to get a pair of shorts (using shorts as an example) and considering the amount of Martial Arts type power sets (Martial Arts, Dark Melee, Energy Melee, Super Strength and Electrical Melee) I think it would be a good idea to make these costumes available to all players or to buy them in a booster pack or to be able to craft them.
I know you can make some of the "Tucked In" options look like shorts (example) but that just isnt the same. I want to make a Mix Martial Arts concept toon and having no shorts (example) option hurts.
This is the same for people who would like to make a Samurai type concept toon or an Anime concept, etc.
EDIT:
1) To have the option to buy all of the costume unlocks in a booster pack like the Super Science and Wedding Packs. This wouldnt include the Roman gear or weapon customisation and the like. (I for one, would be willing to pay for this)
2) To simpy get all costumes at the creation of a new account.
3) To be able to craft costumes out of recipes like we currently do for Burnt Wings, Rocket Boots, etc.

Food for thought.
Quote:I like vet rewards.. but at the same time, I kinda don't.
I DO agree costume items as vet rewards is freakin' horrible.
Replace these with:
More AE slots.
More Salvage slots.
More Recipe slots.
More Auction house slots.
More utility/support powers (like Assemble the Team)
Anyone who complained that they lost their vet rewards, would be an idiot because they didn't lose them, they got them replaced with something much more valuable.
Quote:I started just a few months ago. I am just now getting my 3 month badge, so no matter what I will always be over 5 years behind others on badges. No matter when the game ends, I will never have access to everything. The same goes for those who started 3 months after launch, 6 months, 1 year, etc.
Quote:As a 60 month vet I would have no problem with the devs dropping all the costume bits from the vet rewards and handing them out to new subscribers.
As time goes on evaluation of the methods in which decisions were made in the past needs to be relooked at to decide if the right choices were made. What made since two years ago may not fit the mold now. Constant evolution needs to be in play and I believe the devs have shown in the past that they are well aware of this.
Costumes for the masses I say....
Quote:I'm a 66 month vet now, and it honestly wouldn't bother me if they made the vet costume pieces available as craftable recipes that new players have the option of earning as drops or purchasing via the market on a per-character basis, but will continue to be unlocked as Vet Rewards on an account-wide basis on the current schedule.
Start with the standard Angel and Demon wings and then make all costume pieces beyond that (except the Arachnos helmets, since they were preorder bonuses) available as recipe drops. -
Quote:/signedSure it's been suggested before, but figured I'd give it my support: I'd like an option for individuals to skip cutscenes if desired.
Half the time whenever a cut scene starts up im mid-air, so when it finishes i tend to rubber band a lil' and end up a few hundred feet below where i was when it began. It can get a little frustrating. -
Tomorrows the day peeps!
Hope everyone is sufficently psyched! I know i am. -
An all scrap MoSTF would be fun but almost impossible, IMO. And there will a lot of scrapperlock, i'd say.
LR's +to hit is too much for us to be able to fully tank him properly. Even with 80% def you can still be 1 shotted, or he'll just drain your end enough for your toggles to drop which will = death.
Im not sayin it cant be done but i think we're just lookin to blast through this without havin to lemming rush the red tower. 1 of LR's attacks (Arm Lash?) does 5000+ dmg, thats with almost 0 resist though, about 20%.
Although, depending on the results i may run a scrap MoSTF in the future. -
Quote:Now, now, no need to get nasty.ty Myr (didnt we have a personal chat about this earlier? lol)
As ALWAYS, its not the Build or Enhancements that makes the Hero, its the Player and their skill. No, this isnt even idealistic talk either.... its a simple fact. You can have the sickest build and still be a lousy player - and ive seen them. Its how you play and the way you interact with others which sets you apart from others......
sorry, impressing me or others that been around, by a big & expensive build is *FAIL*. A player who looks for the success of the team, who has a build that magnifies their AT's ability to achieve that success, a player who has the discipline and determination to be a team player during a "Masters", is a sign of a REAL PLAYER that demands respect from others, merely by their actions - those are "players" who "stand out" in my mind.....
*falls thru rotten pulpit*
Im not debating whether or not a great build makes a good player...which of course it dosnt but there are some things you just cant do with out IO's...Fact...and i never said i wasnt willin to listen and learn. Ive been playin the game for barely a year now and i know there will ALWAYS be something new to learn, even for the people that "have been around".
We're talkin about the market prices...
The price of purples right now seems perfect to me. A market cap would just create a player run black market, like Stray said. Which would defeat the purpose of a cap in the first place, and most likely make the market as dead as Boomtown.
Again, if this thread had been created in the market section the majority of replys would be a no to a price cap. -
Quote:So far this past weekend, I saw:
* level 16 Regen Scrapper without Intergration. (Did not want to run any toggles.)
* Level 20 FF Defender who had the team bubbles, but never bubbled a single teammate.
* Level 31 SD Scrapper that only had Focused Fighting and Quickness to go with the entire Leadership Pool.
* level 37 SD Tanker that had Active Defense but never turned it on.
* 33 Month badge player with a level 34 Ice/Ice Tanker with Ice Patch, Chilling Embrace, and Icicles that could not hold or control aggro.
Lol, well i guess thats 1 way to stand out but not the way i wanna stand out. Thats just...silly.
And ill assume you meant a Super Reflexes scrapper and not a Shield scrap 'cos SD dosnt have FF or Quickness. -
Quote:Oh for sure, they'll be cake. Just i read somewhere that DoT's dont stop interuptable attacks like the Vahzy's embalmed esplody power. You won't have a problem with this (long as everyone doesn't die). It's only a big deal for tiny teams. The repairmen are a lot less buggy than they used to be. Though they can't be interrupted by things like sleet, they can still be killed pretty easily before they heal (on a full team).
-
Quote:Yes, because 100m is SO expensive... *looks at the Glad Armour +def IO*lol, you know, wanting Purps to be SO outlandishly expensive so no other one can feasibly buy them except possibly "you", is like a whole new level of narcissism hahahah! Good Gravy!
Compareing them to the equivilent shineys of other games, purples are cheap.
Mayb i do love myself. I kno i love my toons and i want my toons to stand out from the crowd...Dont you? -
-
Quote:[BMT of Champion]Cherry-2000: dude, omg. you did this last dbl xp.. stop asking me or anyone else for $. take your lazy *** out of ae, and go run missions like everyone else. or tell your mother to work the corner a lil bit harder. stupid fleabag. welcome to ignore.
lol, dayum woman.
Ive said it before and ill say it agian, your chat set-up is rooted and NEEDS to be reorganised. -
Quote:lol, i gotcha. I speak fluent slang, drunk and AM/PM talk.I'll take it only if Fiery can't make it. I don't want to knock his spot so if on the day of the event, you want me logged in and on stand by up to the minute, so if he doesn't show, that's cool by me. I don't mind doing that to give him the chance for it. I know what I"m trying to say here, but I've been up all night so if it needs more clarity later, let me know.
If i dont hear back from Fiery by the 15th the spot is yours. -
I honestly dont really care about the price of purples, i've more then likely complained and whined about them in the past but in the end im still goin to buy them because i want my toons to "RAP3!!"
I wouldnt support purps becoming more common because i dont want every other player to have em. I put the time and effort into making the money to pimp out my toons, which does take a while, yes but what else is there to do once you hit 50? Not a lot, unless you're a lolpvp'er or a GIANT badger, which dosnt really interest me.
Money is unbelievably easy to get in this game and all thats needed isa lil' patience and you can get any IO you want.
You go to a PvP zone to kill people and have fun, not to mash buttons for 6 hours and end up callin it quits because you cant "RAP3!!" the other player. Yea, sure a challenge is awesome fun but if everyone had purples it would just turn into a mash fest...
"Its soooo boring dominating every player that enters RV, I think ima quit."
Ive never herd anyone say anything like that and im 100% positive I wont.
In short, i want people to gasp and stand in awe of my awesome and that wouldnt happen if every other Tom, Dick and Harry was running around with purples and PvP IO's.
It would be "Oh, this scrapper has purples, thats nice but my 3 WS's, 2 PB's and my TA/AR fender has more." (Not a dig at WS's, PB's or Fenders)
If this Thread had been created in the Market section it would have been shot down in flames...truth. -
Ok, unfortunatly @Elysan cant make it. Which isa shame, Im sure she was goin to provide some entertaining convo's, lol.
So, @Fiery-Enforcer with his Spines/Fire has the 7th spot.
Can you hit me up in-game to talk turkey mate?
If you're not 100% sure you can make it ima have to give the spot to @Kaszandra
Atm the team make-up will be:
1) @iBud - Blackened Bud - DM/SD
2) @Disciple of Horus - Bulwark of Darkness - DM/SD
3) @Demobot - Umbral Vanguard - DM/SD
4) @Prvt. Slacker - Chalk-Line - Spine/Dark
5) @NiceBuffs - Ariane's Flame - Fire/WP
6) @ResplendentMs - ???? - Spines/WP
7) @Fiery-Enforcer - ???? - Spines/Fire
8) @War Admiral - Kamari - Spines/WP -
Ok peeps, 3 days en-countin!
Or is it 4? heh, my timezone is in front of the east coast's time zone so i never know these things.
Plz dont forget to grab a Shivan Temp and a couple nukes.
Ona side note, I duo'd this TF with Kahlan the other day and failed.
The repairmen are still a lil buggy which made taking down the red tower nigh on impossible. Their heals cannot be interupted it seems, though we were using DoT AoE's so that may have been the cause.
The plan will be to use a nuke on each of the Inner Circle AV's, the Red Tower and LR, just to make it go a lot smoother and faster.
So, we will need 6 Chemical Burn nukes.
Failing that, 3 will be the absolute minimum. 1 for GW, 1 for the Red Tower and 1 for LR.
The rest shouldnt pose too much of a drama but i dun wanna take any chances.
Death hurts my ego.
But anyways, 3 (or 4) days to go!
This should be great fun. -
Another lolAoW thread...this should be good.
-
I thought I had the same problem with Black Swan on my DM/SD after failing serveral billion times. Just stand next to a few Demons and your DPS will increase. I finally got her, with some luck ill admit but no Inspires were used.
Although without SL i could see that that would be a problem. If you could pull him to one of those +regen crystals that are on the map and manage to be able to get the regen buff without him gettin it then i think it wouldnt be too much trouble. Though that would take ALOT of f****** about it could be accomplished.
An attack chain is vital IMO, the only time i break it is if they get a few lucky shots in and I need a lil hp from SL then and there. My chain is Fire Blast, Midnight Grasp, Fire Blast, Siphon Life. -
You know i'd be down for this Kahlan, hell i'd even respec to help out more.
