I was just messing about with this sketch of Geoffrey in photoshop

Anyway, I figured the result was fairly neat, so I'm posting it HERE.

I am also going to nominate for Mystie's efforts in making the 'AAWHITMOTT' website. He put so much work into doing this (and in such short time). It was fun waking up each morning and reading about the back stories of our characters, and equally reports on how were faring in the omega TF!

I was just playing in Corel Painter, 'tis quite different from Photoshop and was having fun mixing colours more than coming up with a decent picture. Either way, I ended up with this as a quick 10 minute play at shading/blending using one brush:

Aside from that, I'd already bought this:

Helmet!

It doesn't fit well, I know... Despite being a "large", it's actually a very tight fit. There's lots of room in there that I'm not making use of. I'm guessing it was incorrectly listed as a Large Adult when in fact was a large Youth, or something.

No worries though, there's plenty of padding inside, as seen in the third panel on the image. I'll either trim it down a bit or replace it all.

Either way, I'm on my way now ;D

Telescopic aerials is a neat idea (Especially if I can get cheap power-aerials - hours of fun ^_^). I was already planning on an intercom style thing. When I was at Memorabilia taking a photo of a storm trooper, he did the whole "Chhk - Make it a good shot - Chhk" thing, and I orgasmed. So a definate lust-point.

Lots of neat stuff (and ... junk) on that site! Turf doesn't fly though, so I think there's not a lot there I could make use of... I'm interested in seeing what you come out with

On a side note, just found these boots, which are pretty perfect (Aside from being white, but I could give them a grey coat: http://img.costumecraze.com/images/v...0973-large.jpg

However they're size 9 in women's... I'd need a size 14, or there-abouts :/

Oh, and I'm going to be bidding on an NFL helmet soon. Planning on making use of a plastic bin for the front section (cut up, obviously). I figure it's around the right size, light, curvy and fairly easy to work with.

Your suggestions are neat, but I don't want to spend too much time on it, and I feel that starting like a boxing helmet or balaclava would take too much to make it look half decent (Plus I'm not /that/ dextrous with my hands. I'd probably come out looking like Jabba the Hutt)

Anyway, my friend suggested an American Football helmet as a base. They're (apparently) lightweight, so would be fairly decent for wearing for any length of time, and are still sturdy enough not to break should I sit on it accidently

(On a side note, you reckon I'd poke many people in the eye with them aerial things on the side? )

Trying some out is the plan, anyway. I can see it now... Me, a geek, trying out helmets for cosplay, and a big burly guy dressed in leather trying to talk to me about motorbikes.

And it'd be to wear, Mystie. After a bit of hunting around, it might be that the helmet is the easiest thing to do. Finding some lightweight/comfortable boots that aren't... well, women's, is gonna be quite a challenge

I've found a couple of helmets on eBay that may prove to be a good starting point, but I thought I'd just ask if anyone has tried to make one of these before, and if they've got any tips or comments? (Or those that haven't, if you have any ideas?)

click here for the kind of thing I'm looking to start with... If I sealed the gaps round the visor and then coated it with primer and paint, I reckon I could get a fairly similar look.

I was just messin' about in Atlas with Prickles and so on, making toons from Star Wars (I made a horrible Darth Vader).

Anyway, it got me thinking that it would be pretty neat to have a cossie comp where people are given 20 minutes or so to create a toon from fresh, with a certain theme.

So, something along these lines:

Your theme is Star Wars, return here within 20 minutes with a toon from that theme. A prize of 2mill inf or whatever will be given for the best toon, keeping in mind the skill it has taken to create it. (That is, a toon which looks identical may still not win, if there is one that is a really good attempt at something harder)

Anyway, to cut to the chase, is this something that you guys would be interested in? (Assuming you're into cossie comps in the first place)

I don't think the "longest time before chat happens", and various other record ideas are all that spiffy... They'd be very easy to beat, you just have to have a team that's willing to waste time idling for that long :P

I think it would be cool to have records for things such as "Quickest defeat of Lusca" (and TFs and so on).

No idea really, it'd probably end up being a weekend or late during the weekday (something like 9pm GMT), as they're the only times I've got any proper time free (I'm posting at work right now ;P)

I'm still missing the Positron and Synapse TFs on G, mostly because people know how [censored]/annoying they are. Even so, if there is anyone out there that wants to do them, then please let me know so I can get 'em out of the way ;P
