  1. As a graphics person who has dabbled in 3D modeling for game character models, altering to fit a different body type - even if it's as "similar" as Huge to Male - is harder than you think.
  2. Okay, this has been driving me nuts since I see it used everywhere: What exactly is this "cottage rule?" Why is it called that?

The point was that the pieces would still have to be altered to fit a different model.
  4. I suggested this a significant while ago. Even when you hide autopowers, it still gets confusing when you're a bubbler and someone else has ice shields since the icons are so similar. Please give us this option, devs!

Free, friend! Free from a legal system that arrests criminals. Free from conviction sentences and protection. The freedom to have a villain rob a bank blind and kill fifteen people on the way out, because pointing out that he has powers might hurt his feelings.

Why not free? It's such a whistling word. Like, like a bird.
Dude... he was agreeing with you, not arguing.

Oh geez, how did I not proofread out that typo? I swear there meant to be an O there. I always was the worst in my Japanese class... well, except that one guy who only showed up like twice...
  7. Wait, there are people on these boards that didn't KNOW about Jordan's Town? How awful! Good thing you remedied that!

    <---Is a longtime fan
  8. I'm very, very fond of my Dominators and my Peacebringer, with their ability to dish out damage both in melee and at range very respectably. I also rather enjoy my 50 Scrapper, but really that's solely because of Shield Charge letting me attack from a distance to great effect and the next scrapper I roll will be Elec/Shield for double the fun. My favorite that I'm working on right now, though, is probably my kin/elec Defender... who really feels like a Dominator to play, with the massive soft controls he throws everywhere combined with his ability to easily cap his own damage.

My first toon (and first 50) is a Dom, and I love her. However, I honestly play every AT like a Scrapper... even the MMs and Trollers. Really, though, I'm not in this game for the powers. I just want to make characters.

How is "Oh hey, turns out all of that was REAL!" a downer ending?
  10. Now that's what I'm TALKING about!
  11. Absolutely 100% signed, even if Widows don't get anything.

    Chainsaw

Easier way to give you a chainsaw: Custom weapon for broadsword melee, please?
  13. The "Storm" Mender Silos talks about? Yeah, turns out he's not lying this time. But since people believe he is, the massive dimensional twisting that the Storm entails alters the histories of Marcus Cole, Stephen Richter, Belladonna Vetrano, Raymond Keyes, all of them such that none ever had any sort of unusual power. Paragon City, the Rogue Isles, and Oranbega blink out of existence, so that nobody knows them as anything but a work of fiction invented by a game company called Cryptic Studios...
  14. Well, yeah, there would be balance issues - but who said the GMs have to be 100% identical to the ones we really fight? They could be rebalanced for this purpose, and only appear in that form while playing that kind of arena battle.
  15. So here's a wacky fun thing I thought up last night while doing my laundry: How about a new type of arena battle, where instead of playing your character you are temporarily in control of a GM of your choice, slugging it out against another player who is also a GM? It wouldn't be like a gladiator fight with pets; instead while you were in the arena you would be effectively shapeshifted into GM form, with all the GM's attacks as temporary powers (which the shapeshift would also be). There could be maps built like the city zones, only in miniature, with the buildings destructible like objects in mayhem missions. Unlocking which monsters you can be could be tied to GM defeat badges.

Idunno, I just kinda think that would be awesome.

    Call of the Wild

My favorite new sound is the cars honking at me to get out of the way when I stand in the middle of the street.
  18. Yeah, trees are really the highest class of enemy - if you see something that cons as a Tree, run, because even if you can solo a GM it'll mop the floor with you. The bastards have hidden spawns, too, so even if you know they're there, you can't do anything about it... they're just lying in wait, and someday they'll wipe out all of us.

    Incarnates?!?

Ha, I just realized that one of my planned characters really synergizes with Ermeeth. There's one I haven't heard yet...
  21. Whoa, female toons get it now? I thought only the males did.

  23. 20-25, huh? Awesome, I have someone in that range!
