I like LJ's counter thought of a holiday theme or perhaps something of that nature--say a calendar theme based on the month. So for January they express January in their art submissions.
Maybe not so good, but the holiday theme could work all right I believe. -

So many awesome pieces--I especially love LJ's contribution and projectionist and I agree with Spino that Tracky Tricky is a perfect combination of Heroes/COX--not to mention some incredible line work. However, I'm going with my personal prejudice and what I think is the most creatively inspired piece and go with
Toxic Shia as my all around favorite. -
