By the above I assume you mean 3-slot with Def Enhancments.

Im not sure if Im going to get a Travel Power as im using Ninja Run which is fine for general movement and Temp Travel Powers for the rest. As such Ill prob 4 slot CJ with 3x Zephyr + 1 DEF Enh. Save me a power choice (If I cant find a power I NEED maybe Taunt for a IO mule with 4-5x Perfect Zinger for 10% Reg, 5% Rech and [5 slot] 2.5% Dam???? - Ive already got 2 Recipes).

Also thinking of taking the Energy Pool.

I jumped off early last night so I didnt get stuck doing something when they bring the servers down.

OK here is my current Tank build (note Im at work so the exact details of when I took the slots and powers may be a little off but should be fairly accurate - NOTE I took CJ much earlier but I cant remember when...).

My problem is END.
I was running in the RWZ last night and took on a Purple Boss + 2 orange LTs (random encounter).
I had no problem with Health as I rarely got hit, but after the 2 oranges where down (love AoO + BU + SC + WhirlingAxe + Sands Of Mu [have to be quick to get them all in though]) I was effectively waiting for my END to recover in order to attack the boss.

I am just starting to look at IO's (have 4 of Crushing Impact on Gash).

With CJ + Defl + BAgility + Phalanx + Weave my Def for all 3 Positions is around 36.4% with mainly yellow SO's.

Im planning on getting 2x ToD sets for an additional 7.5% Melee (taking me to ~43%) and 1 Mako for Ranged ~40.5%.
As for AoE im thinking of 2x Sirocco's for ~42% AoE (+20% Reg and +18% Acc) and only for 5 Slots (

Obviously I want to get my Def Softcapped for all 3 positions but I need Recovery.

Well ive got a level 50 Stalker and a level 46 Crab, so ill prob bring the Crab and drop in my pets (just got the Disruptor Bots and already have the Spiderlings).

If we do the Rikti Mothership what levels should we bring?

Im really having fun with my respec'd Tank and want to get some serious Merits for IO's later on.

If we dont have enough for the Rikti or we dont want to do a SF, how does some AE mishs sound?

Ive re-awakened my Shield/Axe tanker with the free Server Transfers and after a respec (he was my 2nd toon so I got a lot of things wrong) upped the diff from 0/0 to +2/x3 and am having no problems apart from END.
I rarely ever go below 1/3 health (too much agro or EB's) and and just starting to look at IO's (Im level 35).

With Weave running im currently at 36% (ish) Def to all 3 positions. Getting 2 Sets of ToD IO sets will give me another +6ish% - taking me to 42% Melee.
1 Set of Mako will give me 39ish% Ranged.
AoE will stay at 36%. I remember seeing an IO set that gave +Def to Ranged/AoE but I forget (this is my first serious attempt at IOing).

Yes Shield/Axe is rather END heavy but for all that is it awesome fun

I made a Shield/Axe tank back in i11-12 then jumped servers n forgot about him until the recent free Server Transfer.

Hes level 35 atm and I had to respec him (he was my 2nd toon so made some huge mistakes).

I did the Winter Event - Baby mish with a 6-8 member team that included a Shield/WM Tank and a Dual-Blade/?? Brute and they were dropping like flies while I was in the middle knocking the mobs down and up. Was awesome

I took True Grit at level 4.

During the respec I took Tough at 32 and Weave at 35. Both only have the one slot (with End Reduction) but Weave will be getting another 2 at 36 and Tough another 1.
Im finding even with Stamina 3 slotted that im almost running out of END almost every fight at +0/x0 (only done a few mishs to test the new power selection - only used him for 1-2 hours so far). Im not even running Tough or Weave yet (dont need them on these mishs).
Im running Deflection and Battle Agility and AAO all the time (with 1 level 35 SO enh) and Active Defence is on auto-activate (3x Recharge SO so it is up before it expires). Also have Combat Jumping turned on.

Im looking at getting IO Sets into him but I only have 26Mil (again this was my 2nd toon so my WW skills were crap back then - lol).

Currently my Positional Defences are around 30% for each (exact number I forget) with BatAgi + Deflec + Phalanx + CJ running. My SO ENH are blue/yellows but as im looking for IO's I wont spend much money replacing them - do some radio mishs with Natural ENH dropping mobs

Id love to hear how you find Shield/Axe - maybe you could write a guide [I tried ages ago with a different AT and it sucked]

we did the Moonfire TF with a team of 8. Took us about 2 hours give or take.
It was the first time some of us had done this (myself included) and we failed at the mish to save the Dr (I forgot the name) with the end of mish ambushes.

Again it was mainly Blasters with 2 Contr and a Defender. We had the option of a Tank but with all the ranged KB they decided to spare themselves the headache and bring in their blaster

First time ive ever had to threaten to kick someone from a team....
One of the team members didnt want Speed Boost as running so fast in the tight tunnels on a team of 8 was too painful for them.
While most ppl love having SB applied to them it is everyones right to decline Buffs if they dont want them. One person however seemed to almost take offence at this and was adamant that their opinion was the correct one and was borderline insulting the person that didnt want it.

It was at this point when I threatened to kick ppl if they wont play nice.

The team then shutup and it was very quiet apart from the occational combat chat ("AV here", "INC", etc).

While there is nothing wrong with saying "I think this is a good/bad idea because ....." if the person says they dont want it dont push YOUR opinions on them, even if it is considered "smart playing".

In the end we finished the TF and most people were happy. A few of us got some good drops (myself received 2x PerfShifter, 1x Pounding Slugfest & 1x ToLG receipes).

Got to level 27.5(ish) so will see what options there are for next weeks session.

I run team friendly sessions. It is everyones right to design/use their characters as THEY WANT TO.
If a Crab doesn't take TT:M that is their choice (I think its a bad choice but it is THEIR CHARACTER so they can do WHAT THEY WANT).

Anyone who insults another team member will be KICKED and not invited to the team again unless they apologise. If the insult is severe - have a good life on CoH.

This is my first and ONLY warning about this.

We want to know what happens to Capella Rising even after she gets to lvl50.

Does she finally hook up with that Arachnobot she flirted with?

Do her kids get into the fancy pre-school that you had to Dominate the head teacher in order to get into?

How does she handle it when her mother is killed in an 'accident' but she believes it to be an attack from the Longbow?

So many more adventures for Capella - dont deny us Min

Got my blaster up to 25 over the weekend and did the first new mish for the cape which is a lot harder than before.

Tonight we actually had 9-10 ppl who wanted to Hero Up so we had 2 teams. The first was doing level 25 paper mishs and then the Ind Port Bank Mish.

The 2nd was a lowbie team run by Randomice (i think).

We also had a Scrapper on the high level team (gasp).
She got a few levels I think but started around 11 so also faceplanted a few times
A team full of KB blaster is not good for a melee toon

It wasnt a long night unfortuately as I was really tired and wasnt payint attention and died at the end of the bank mish 2 times cause of it.

Thanks to everyone who turned up it was awesome to have so many ppl playing Blueside together

I suppose like others have said its a ST focused powerset which on teams isnt the best, but has its place.

That said it could be improved (but then im sure everyone thinks that each powerset could be improved [make Seeds of Confusion do AOE 1.5 damage as well - lol]).

Say I am the Leader with +0/x0, but I choose a teammates Mish who has +2/x2.
What difficulty setting will be used (+0/x0 or +2/x2)??

AoE Immob I didnt want so to avoid faceplants at this stage, also im doing fine with Smoke taking out a mob, Char Holding 1 and attacking that single if no one else is aggrod or taking out a non Held mob if they attack me.

Hot Feet - 1.04 end/sec - Need STAM for that.

Anyone have any pointers (the Guides section is rather bare on anything after i12)?

Does Dimension Shift allow you to target and attack those mobs that are affected?
Like on Bank Mishs you can attack the civilians, wasting attacks and being a royal pain in the “select next enemy” finger.

I always thought DS would be excellent for Mitigation or for helping with too many mobs (someone AoE around a corner and grabs a 2nd mob, you DS them and they go away until the first mob is dead.) Alternatively only slot minor Acc and hit a normal mob and those not affected you can wipe out (hurts AoE centric toons though).

OK so my DOM history is a little jagged.
1st of (i14) I made an ICE/ICE DOM and END was just shocking so I dumped him and gave up. Got to level 22ish

Decided to give them another go after i16 and went with Grav/Nrg. Currently at lvl 31 and having a good time as long as there are not too many mobs (yes yes yes I am aware that Grav/Nrg is mainly a ST DOM).

And YES I am being bombarded by my VG (yes Min that means you) that Grav/Nrg sucks so much it could drag a ping-pong ball through a garden hose.

So, even though I love my Grav/Nrg I wanted to make a more team-centric/AoE DOM. Now Im NOT going to do a Plant/ DOM as that is all I see running around. Im sure its awesome but I just cant do it...

So after umming and ahhhing I chose Fire/Thorn. Fire cause Ive never done a Fire Primary toon before and Thorn cause I like the new look (Crystal Blades ohhh yeah).

What Im wondering is, before I spend too much time on him ("Toxic Fumes" now at lvl 8) is this combo any good for some solo and team play (PvE only).

I have asked ingame about this and have received by many people that a reason is that a lot of VEAT powers are duplicates of other AT powers... Yeah and...?
Blaster(Pri)/Corruptor(Pri)/Dom(Sec) powers that are shared are the same (numbers are diff but thats not what we are talking about) and they can be customised.

Just say that (V)EAT/APP/PPP power customisation will be done after GR is done and before the next Issue Release (or with the next Issue Release) and most people will be happy. Until you ask a Mastermind...

Hi everyone, this is my first attempt at playing a Defender and the idea of Cold/Ice really appeals to me.
It will be mainly a team toon (2-5 person team) but will solo from time to time (rarely).

Hearing after the fact that someone wasnt happy and was ******** to other people shows the immaturity of that person - deal with the problem dont whinge about it after the fact.
