In the past I would have agreed with that but not anymore. Taking CJ and Hover to get SJ and Fly now is a means to an end, nothing more. The defence bonus for them has been dropped to the point where they are borderline useless for that purpose. I'd imagine it's getting close to the point where taking air sup or jump kick would be of more benefit.
IR may not be the be all and end all of travel powers but unless I take a detour, or make a mistake in where I'm heading, I'm usually one of the first to arrive at a mission.

It is with great pleasure and much rejoicing that I can announce one of the sweetest alts on Defiant has finally arrived at the magic 50.
Having taken a hiatus to play tank girl Sugar Rush has become her second 50, even though I first teamed with Sugar back in the hollows in the early days of CoH in Europe.
Finally you can put CoH to bed for a while, but I have to say you've let yourself go a bit in CoV!

When I hung up Crys cape the last place I expected to end up was controlling, after all who'd want to roll another squishy? Even more fun than first time round it has to be said.
Thanks to those I've met and teamed with, even you Shielder. Gen2 you must play the odd hours, can't remember the last time I saw you online mate.
Of course as usual big thanks to my friends Sugar and Nom for the usually constant teaming, and for providing the early firepower when leveling through the dark days of low level controlling when any mission involving kill all was a nightmare. Get on Nom so we can get Sugar the rest of the way.
Oh and I have the Spelunker mission if anyones interested.

Most controller builds need time to mature, I find gravity to be a fun build but a total end hog, It's what I'm using for my dominator in CoV.
I chose ill/kin simply to get a pet at 18, and I really do like my controller, even though I never thought I would. I thought I'd miss playing my blaster but if a gun was put to my head I'd delete my blaster first.
If I was going to re-roll my controller now I'd make him ill/rad. /kin is really good but I love fighting AV's and /rad is king for that.

I'm the usual end hog playing with Sugar and on a big team I can quite easily end out mid fight, every fight. I just have so many powers firing plus a few toggles and clicks I'd put a /DA scrapper to shame.
It's even worse in cov, I have a grav/psi dominator, he eats end for dinner with a sideorder of end. I have been asked what the F are you doing with all that end? -
Putting it on auto wouldn't be good for the very reason you mention, it works like the tp animation, if you arrive in mid air you plop straight down onto the ground. When IR runs out normally you just sail to the ground as in any normal jump, find you can't take off again and hit the button and off you go.

I was there, floating on the left of pic with the burgendy robe, and they did tell us to fire powers. I'd suspect any of the shots with powers in you couldn't see anyone so they decided to use a more sedate screen shot.

It scales with lvl but I actually find it faster to get around with than SJ. SJ scales to allow you to jump higher while IR scales to allow you to jump further. I can manage 1.5 zones before I have to recast, more than enough to make it a 'proper' travel power.
Even when I had SJ I never had Acrobatics, in the early levels I did fall about quite a lot, tbh now I get a surprise if even an AV can cause knockback (tomorrow I will be knocked back, down, up and sideways by anything that I even look at, mark my words).

No december issue is off the shelves now, picked my copy of the christmas issue up from the newsagent last week.
Help is at hand though, would have put it up sooner but the forums seemed to have posting issues a few hours ago. It's not great but my scanner is old as the hills.

I ignored IR up to 48. Today I respec'd it in. My travel powers now consist of siphon speed and inertial reduction. I dropped SJ for it.
I was worried it wouldn't stand up to comparison with SJ but it does. The range is at least the same as SJ, it lasts 60 secs and recharge is 60 secs, you don't have to siphon a mob to get it. I like it.
Not sure at 28 whether I would have taken it as my main form of transport though. -
Nope but on a related topic the new issue is out and it includes a short interview with one of the GM's Christian who uses 'even handedness...[and]..laser eye beams' to deal with difficult customers and he wants 'a /disintegrate command to deal with the insolent'.

New copy is out today so that's probably the problem. I've seen it, can't remember offhand who's there (the names in the screenshot are hard to read) but I know my deleted PB is there, so is Virtual Light and Plight, and Laustin is there again, looking the wrong way

How does EndRed work in a nuke? It drains all end so what is the benefit of endred?
