    All I can say is vote w/ your feet....er....respec.

    I dropped Unstop, and I'll drop Rage. It may work fine for others in it's new form, but I liked classic coke in this case. Maybe I'll go into the fighting pool now.

    One thing that was a self-fulfilling sign for me was last night was the first Sat evening I opened another game instead of CoH.

    Fix things, yes. Tweak things for the sake of it? If you rub to hard, you can take off the shine.

    I just like reposting this, because
    a) it still amuses me that all this pain and ire is due to solve an issue casual players were having.
    b) the fix had *nothing* to do w/ Rage being overpowered, so if the "casual" play could deal w/ the stun, we could have Ragr 1.0 back
    c) how we've all been free to share our thoughts and ideas. Looks like that's share it w/ each other.

    Yeah, thanks for the TeamKiller 3.0

    I didn't get a real taste of this new flawed build at its best until we took on Infernal last night. I was point man at the portal, w/ a sea of demons and one AV pounding on me, as my team worked the portal and helped keep me alive.

    LO AND BELHOLD, Rage wears off. Agro ebbs. Team dies.

    This is perfect. A power that removes the point of your AT for a length of time. This isn't a power anymore, it's shareware.

    Devs, pls hurry up and remove the KD from our attacks and put a penalty on Invc & US. I'm still playing now, but that should finally finish us off.

    I finally get it.

    I just thought of two examples of SS/Invl ATs in the comics: Superman and the Hulk.

    Not only are these good examples, they also happen to be the considered amoung the two most powerful heroes for their DC & Marvel respectivly. During the DC vs Marvel matchups they were even put head-to-head.

    What I just figured out is that the SS/Invl AT is a legal defense.

    While you can make a Superman/Hulk look-a-like, no one is going to mix them up w/ the real thing when they see them in a fight.

    See? These changes are so stupid, they are actually clever. Veeeeery clever, indeed......

    The silence is...disheartening.

    Whatever your opinion about this change, the fact they put it in here so we can seemingly talk amoung ourselves makes it feel like they plan to ignore it, and wanted to keep the crying out of the general fourms.

    This would never be a, "sob! I'm quitting" thing, for any thinking person. But this particular change seemed unnecesary or overdone and the kind of thing that eats at enthusiasm.

    The day that lack of enthusiasm builds up to the point you decide to play something else instead of logging on, is the first step away from the game altogether.

    Hand Clap is a good way to stun an AV/Boss, and they don't KB. I wish that could be debuffed altogether.

    Agree. But, I would also be ok w/ a 10-15sec debuff of same buff size (-80% dmg/acc).

    So now the devs are politicians, where the stated reason for the change isn't the current/actual reason?

    If they want to say that, fine, just say it. There's no reason for this smokescreen issue of helping out casual players. And, if that is the case, just lower the effective time and make it non-perma. Or maybe just give a debuff of some kind after rundown.

    This is rage, not hulking-out. I don't think we need to treat it like we just fired off the wave motion gun and did something so powerful we should be shut-down mid combat.

    Sry, but this kills me still. There must be a glut of casual players w/ rage and w/o US, who have just been living in outrage (no pun int). Just saying, "I don't have time to commit to this game to take US....but Rage...Rage is the swiss army knife of 30min/wk play!"

    I really see it as not much more than a power equiv of a few yellows and reds.

    And it needed a penality for that?

    I'd be interested in knowing what the stats for heroes w/ rage and unstop are now. Once I get around to a recpec, rage is gone. To high a cost for too little return.

    If they're trying to get us to use less tank powers, they are going a fine job.

    I was just coming in to make the same point.

    When did rage become on par w/ Unstoppable where it merited such a harsh penality for use? What was the acc bonus again? What was the damage bonus again?

    If you *insist* on this penality switch, woulnd't a 50% drop be sufficent? Even w/ Stamina(6), you're still losing a lot of capital. Or drop of 75% would beat putting an apple in our mouths and serving us up as designed now. If you run w/ Invc and/or Unyeild (or anything like) the drop now might as well be 0%

    Hell, if you want to keep the drop, at least bump up rage to make it worth it.

    Or, if nothing else, give us a way to swap it out. It's a handy power the way it was, but it's way to expensive for the return now.

    To try to help get this back on track, I don't like the changes to rage. I was against the tank changes in concept, but have made them work really well (at high lvls, at least). So I am not a reactionary just respond to change.

    What I don't like is how they have turned it into unstop. What I mean is I was permaunstop, living w/ the risk/reward of the rollercoaster. W/ I3 taking that out, I have been enjoying a non-drop life. Now, I am back to playing this game w/ rage.

    What is also negative is that I liked that how as you went up in lvls, you could grow into your powers better. Having a great resist to the neg effect of rage was part of being a better hero. I don't mind game balance, but it should be in ATs and not levels.

    Overall, can we just leave tanks alone for a while? Can we stop this recent and endless tinkering? I have a feeling there are a lot of tanks who are running out of respecs trying to keep up w/ all of this.

  13. I agree, but would also like a better accepting process. A few times I have grabbed a mission either not realizing it is timed, or not realizing that it is too much for me at the moment (since the actual objective isn't spelled out). I would love to see an optionm, maybe only good for 1-2min, to say, "geez...can I do this just a little later? really, I got a cape at the dry cleaners, and they lock the door at 5..."

    It would also be just plain helpful to get the actual objective from the contact ("do you mean get all artifacts, or get them *and* everyone there?").
