teamed with a 34 elec/stone the other night.....mighty impressive....especially seeing lightning rod go off for the first time... he was going all the way to granite with only rock armour, stone skin, earths embrace and rooted......always stacked a few purple insps for big fights though
tp is benifical to stone though....i have a stone tank, and with a simple bind you'll love it -
i think with 2 recharges in the second upgrade is up just slightly slower than unslotted or 1 slotted first upgrade.
whatever it is, its damn site better than the 60 secs that it was.
sorry cant be more accurate but i cant at the mo remember how i have them slotted now since respec -
2*acc 3*damage with suppremacy and tactics despite the fact they must spend their life staring at purples they raley miss.
your thugs/dark arnt you Miss. Tier 1's are ranged aren't they so you should be able to keep em close and heal them with TG
My little Bots rarely die and there are 3 of them so damage is good. they only produce little numbers but oh so many litle numbers
on upgrades i always give em both at the beggining and if they do fall, mostly to AOE attacks, i summon and give em the first then the second on the hoof.
Only wish once you had upgraded them you couldn't upgrade them again. I run with window scale at 85% and with all the buffs its sometimes tricky to spot the upgrade against each off them.
Ho Hum -
I have Bots/dark..i currently run the following toggles
Manouvers, Assault, Tacticts, Combat Jumping, Shadowfall, Acrobaticts and darkest night.
Now you will be running some toggles, maybee not as many as i do, however with spamming of heals and holds and taking a couple of the attacks i would recomend stamina. The attacks are end heavy, however again it depends if your teaming or soloing a lot.
Soloing i find stuff doesn't live long enough to warrent stamina.
Teaming your more likely to lose some henchmen and summoning them mid fight, or between, without worrying about an end crash is a bonus......enough to lose 3 other powers i'm still not 100% but before stamina i did have end crashes now i never do.
I remember one six man mission that went a bit pear shaped (at the time i had recall friend and teleport) i was able to keep all my toggles up had TG on auto was resummoning fallen bots, tp'ing the fallen people next to me then hit howling twlight and ress'ed everyone.......couldn't have done it without stam.....like i say rare instances but worth it......you're choice -

Idea behind build; a group based controller offering as much damage mitigation to the team therefore getting as many control options as possible back up as quickly as possible, once near end game my start PVP however would probably respec along the lines of the choices listed below.
Choices I made;
No mesmerise Mesmerise is a single target sleep so will probably become less useful in the later game, while I am taking this to 1st respec, plan to respec out of it. however build is not very damaging so should it be kept for that alone option and lose mass hypnosis. Can be useful to stop runners approaching you or other squishies (their fault if they hit a sleeping mob)
No confusion Again how much use will it get late game? Long animation time, single mob target. Again though is good for taking away unwanted attention from yourself or others and is stackable on bosses also has good duration. Possibly lose thunderclap.
Took levitate over above 2 because the damage is good, recharge is good also allows you to dominate-levitate-dominate bosses while receiving little or no damage.
No O2 Boost One of the lowest heals I believe in the game, let others do that my time better spent doing other things.
No Tornado Never tried or seen this power however I do not like the sound of something that sounds somewhat unpredictable.
Epics, I chose Ice to fit in concept wise with storm, I have put hibernate in there however would the blast be better for damage? As Im unsure how useful hibernate is thought I could use it as health and end regenerator. My other thought was to take the 2 blasts from fire then put assault and tactics in. -
Valkhurst offers some sound advice there the only point i would raise is for a */dark mm i find stamina a godsend.
Your always active as a /dark MM with you secondaries spamming TG not only for your bots but team mates too..chucking down tarpits..petrifying gaze.....and if you go into the leadership pool i find without stamina running assault, tacticts, shadowfall and darkest night with everything else you fire off can take its toll on your end....and if you take burst and use while nothing else is 'up' (can be counterd by carrying CAB's mind). Especially if its a long fight and maybee you've lost a bot or 2 (they do smetimes run off) replacing and upgrading them mid fight will not kill your end.
Definatly agree on teleport/recall friend
Also recomend medicine pool and aid other.....3heals and 2interupt thingies works wonders. again though another end drainer and its up quite often.
Means i'm currently not taking fearsome stair, black hole at the mo. but variety is the spice and all that
Hell as a bot/dark MM i think i do more button bashing than my claws/regen scrapper. (just wish i could squeaze hasen in for the setup)
Anyhoo Great fun......just master controlling you pets with commands and you'll fell invincable.....until you get your [censored] handed to you by a load of AOE mobs with knockback -
Is it possible to create a keybind for my insp tray directly relating to my pets for my MM.
For example the bottom left Insp slot relates to pet1 and pushing a key automatically gives that insp to pet1.
Then next slot along is for pet2 etc etc. This would be handy as insp largely sit there unused except for CABs and respite for use by my MM when things go a bit pete tong, which isnt really that often.
Thanks in advance. -
dont have stealth, but 'non hit' never target me that i've noticed.
how do you send them into attack?
i use a bind something like /petcomall goto agg which sends them off to a point i select and they aggro whatevers close to them i then use attack my target command to concentrate fire. -
With the forthcoming changes to defence in i7 Im wondering if manoeuvres from the leadership pool is now worth considering? Already have assault and tactics.
Im not 100% sure on the math (but then who is) but heres my understanding and thinking;
Protector bots give 3.5% def to all with a shield..the shields for 2 of them stack so therefore with 3 same lvl sos should give about 5.5% def
Total = 11%
Shadowfall with 3 same lvl sos will give 4.2%
Total = 15.2%
And manoeuvres with 3 same lvl sos about the same 4.2%
Total = 19.5%
Then you could take scorpion shield to stack as well on its def ..pity it doesnt apply to minions though.
Is my math correct and what sort of difference would it make??? -
Always thought a fire/dark team would be quite fun
fearsome stare (at 20) - tar patches - rain of fire fire ball fire breath (combo available at 8) ..wouldnt be a lot left standing after that. have to split team so only half use tar and rain so its always ready oh yes might have to turn graphic settings down a touch too..
ho hum -
Im enjoying my robot/dark MM very much however at level 12 with just picked up TOs i'm running on the difficulty just below Relentless, +1s to mobs and numbers I think. The tactics I have currently are pretty set and working very well one could argue almost to well, essentially I am a tank with ranged attacks and a self heal which as my bots are grouped together when I fight heals for over 200 at a time and is fairly spammable. Even in teams my survivability does not seem to be a huge issue so .
So im looking for something that will be more of a challenge both micromanagement and powers wise.
Having a browse through the forums this appears to lend itself to be Ninjas/Trick arrow. While there are some guides on the ninjas there appears to be very little on TA. Anyone point me in a useful direction of these powers and what to expect so I can work them into the ninjas. Especially in terms of recharge, end usage and durations etc...
Many thanks in advance .oh yes and keep an eye out for my face planted corpse on Union.
