I7 - defence changes - robots/dark - leadership

With the forthcoming changes to defence in i7 I’m wondering if manoeuvres from the leadership pool is now worth considering? Already have assault and tactics.

I’m not 100% sure on the math (but then who is) but here’s my understanding and thinking;

Protector bots give 3.5% def to all with a shield..the shields for 2 of them stack so therefore with 3 same lvl so’s should give about 5.5% def

Total = 11%

Shadowfall with 3 same lvl so’s will give 4.2%

Total = 15.2%

And manoeuvres with 3 same lvl so’s about the same 4.2%

Total = 19.5%


Then you could take scorpion shield to stack as well on its def…..pity it doesn’t apply to minions though.


Is my math correct and what sort of difference would it make???

I Have that setup at the mo with my mastermind and found that i was not really getting much extra defence and was getting a load more more endurance drain. Sure when I7 comes out we will get those tastey new personal shields in our epics but do you really want to have shadowfall, tactics, assult, Epic shield, and manoeuvres running all at once? (oh yeah forgot to add in you will most likely be using darkest night too every now and then)

Im Short enough as it is on slots i dont really want to waste 3 or four slots (gonna need the end red if u do take it) just for that much extra defence i reckon youll be better off without manoeuvers
