Well, I'd still be up for Synapse - Monday at 8 is fine by me...
-
Right, my bad.
EDIT: Still no reply from Venture, who started it all... if there's no certainty that there'll be a competent team there at 8, I'm afraid I'll have to be a no-go. Got alternate plans for tonight... -

is there a limit on how many of each type of enhancement you can put into a power then?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really. You can still put 6 Recharge-reduction enhancements in Hasten, it just isn't a very good idea anymore, due to ED bringing the Law of Diminished Returns into full power. Basically, slotting more than 3 of a kind in any given power will give extremely minute gains... even the third is diminished, granting maybe 2/3 of what the 2 first do. Hell, with +3's, even the second will be slightly weaker than the first...
This was, of course, introduced to enhance our playing experience. Neverminding that it's universally hated by everybody who's been here since before it happened, and by every newbie who's tried slotting his powers without being aware of this rule. -
Beware the huge endurance-drain of DA... sure, Obsidian Shield will protect you from extrenal end-drain - very handy against Sappers - but it won't protect you from the heavious drain of the stacked toggles. Even with 3-slotted Stamina, you'll find yourself running low if you don't have a Kinetic on hand... if your primary has an end-drain power - such as Dark Meele does - take it and use it heavily. Otherwise, prepare to slot a lot of powers with endurance-reduction ench...

Okay, so, I've gotta take Grounded on my Electric Armor Brute for the knockback protection... but I'm wondering if the Energy/Negative resistance is worth slotting beyond the one default slot. Should I expend another 1-2 slots of Resistance on it, or is the bonus too small to be worth it?

So, it's Friday - we gonna do this thing, or not? Meet at Synapse? If so, when?
-
Just picked up the 'Defeat Baphomet' mission... (well, actually, I haven't 'picked it up' per se, since it's timed, but you get the picture.)
Beating Baphomet into the ground is worth a badge, 'Demonslayer' to be exact. He's an AV, though, so he's not likely to roll over quietly. Anyone wanting to join in the slaughter? I'm gonna run it Sunday Night at 8 PM BST, with or without team... -
Depending on AT's and powersets, we could probably do it with 4...

Hmmm, guess I should've throw some smilies into my previous post to make it clear that I was joking... I actually thought it'd be obvious from the content, but since the overall joke was apparently so subtle that nobody noticed it, I guess it stands to reason that the humerous note was lost as well...
And it's well beyond the editing-period now... so let me just say, I WAS JOKING! -
Seriously, it should be possible to come up with a more snappy acronym... what about W.I.T.C.H - Wives Involved in Terror and Crimes most Heinous!
Or maybe do it with 'Babes' instead of 'Wives' for a more general appeal... -
I'd be up for Synapse, but not Citadel... anytime's good for me, too.
-
Huh, I stand corrected... guess I should've stuck on after all.
You sure showed me... -
Yeah, Carronade will sure get a lot of exercise... ^_^
-
Okay, nobody's interested, farm's off... guess I'll just have to replay that other mission 25 times.

I'm assuming Fulcrum is fire, so I'll just let you do your thing and hope we live
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, she's Energy/Ice. It's a common mistake... and I won't even MENTION the number of times someone has mistaken me for a Kinetics Defender...
See, she is a FULCRUM (turning point) for HEAT... she absorbs heat from the surroundings, resuling in ice (cold is, after all, simply the absence of heat) and then transforms it into pure energy she can emit as destructive blasts...
Yes, that is overly complicated. Just be glad I'm not going to explain the idea behind my Claws/Energy Stalker 'Ergeist', too.
ANYWAY... yeah, I've got some handy slow and knockdown powers from my secondary, though I'm not completely sure how many of them I'll have when exemplared. I tend to use Snow Storm whenever it won't cause all the aggro to revert to me, and Ice Patch whenever there's a good mob of enemies gathered close enough together. -
Vigrid AND Primus, huh? Sounds like a regular stroll down memory lane...

Allrighty, picked up the Defeat Fake Naylor mish - nice'n huge outdoor map loaded with Nemesis. Difficulty is set to Vicious. Now all I need is a team of 8 intrepid villains, at least 4 of whom are level 50 to ensure that we can steamroll the level 37-ish Fakies.
The party is scheduled for friday (the 22nd, I believe) evening around 7 PM BST (That's 20:00 CET) and will continue for as long as we can maintain a team of 7 or more.
If you're interested, better pipe in - if there isn't enough people interested, I'll just farm the Grandville mish with the 4 Fakies - slower, but doesn't require a team. -
I'm good anytime, just gimme a call - global is @BlackDragon. Busy with a previously scheduled TF Saturday, but any weeknight is fine with me.
-
My Blaster, Heat Fulcrum, could use the badge... so I'm up for it if there's room. Besides, I wanna try how tough Clamor is if you've got a real team - when I did the Sister Psyche TF on my scrapper, all but 3 of the team had quit when we reached her, and all of us had hit the debt-cap headfirst before we finally took her down...

Yeah, it happened numerous times that Weasel and Guardian would both give the correct answer - often with the exact same wording - and Guardian just cam ein a microsecond before Weasel... some of the other contestants suggested that they might actually be the same person, playing two accounts at the same time...
-
Too bad you couldn't come, Aardvark - it was a blast. I ended up paying a neat 6.700.000 inf in prizes, but it was worth it. Fire Guardian won the match with 11 correct answers, netting him the Jackpot of 2 mil plus 100.000 per answer - 3.100.000 inf. Weasel came in a close second with 10 correct replies, getting him a neat million - but Transcendant Ghost (never figured out whos alt he was, if any), who came in third with 8 correct answers, also answered one of the Bonus Questions for 500.000, thus netting him a total of 1.200.000 inf, effectively putting him ahead of Weasel in terms of prizes.
Distruptagon and Wamdue shared the fourth place with 3 correct answers a piece, while Dark Marvel (Is he somebody's alt? Never found out...) and Stasis came in last with 2 points each... BUT, Stasis got one of the Bonus Questions, thus netting her 600.000 total, so she wasn't really too badly off.
Anyway, it was loads of fun, and I learned a couple of things I'll keep in mind next time I host a quiz... like, 'Don't set it up in the middle of atlas plaza'... -
Okay, the contest is tomorrow, so here's a couple of last-minute announcements... firstly, the length of the competition will be extended from max 1 hour to max 1½ hour, due the the high number of geek trivia questions I've managed to collect. The contest will still end when I run out of questions, however, so it's enitrely possible that it won't run longer than 1 hour after all - it all depends on how easily the questions are answered.
Also, now and then a BONUS QUESTION may pop up. These little gems are conciderably harder than the rest of the lot, and as such award a whooping 500.000 inf to whoever can answer them correctly. Mind, though, that you cannot declare 'High Roller' on a Bonus Question, which would otherwise have added a whole million to the jackpot... I DO have limited means, y'know. :P -

If you're going to do it in Atlas Park then fair enough. Just seems to me that this kind of thing is what Pocket D was made for...
[/ QUOTE ]
You may be right - and next time I host such an event, maybe I'll put it in Pocket D. But changing the venue at this point might cause confusion and resulting in some people going to D, while other stand around futilely in Atlas Park. So, this time, Atlas is the place.
