Quote:Gotta disagree on that one, I've followed the episodes and manga since the early times and I like Shippuuden more actually. Naruto doesn't act like a clown as much and it has a more serious feel to it. I don't know if you've kept up on the manga or are the type that doesn't want to ruin it for yourself, but it just keeps getting more and more intense to me. the only problem I can see with it is the same as DBZ, in the later on episodes previously cool characters like Shikamaru and Gaara/Piccolo and Tien, etc. all take a backseat to the 2 or 3 most powerful caracters.Shippuuden sucks, and has sucked... Pretty much always. In fact, the old Naruto slowly started sucking from episode, like, 150 on, basically from the start of the fillers. What was truly badass was from inception up to about the end of the Chunin Exam and the fight with Gaara. Everything since then has been a constant downward spiral that's just on the verge of making me stop giving a crap about the whole thing... Pretty much unless it improves within the next two, at most three episodes.

I understand. So PF does seem pretty good for that instead, and the stacking with theother Genin would be nice, like enforcers. It's possible to make a dulled down, not so Brute/Tank/scrapperish, isn't there? Like a mini version?

Quote:that IS pretty cool. what about dodge from /SR? but with some ranged def too. Or better yet, hightened senses from /WP as a passive. either of those would improve their defense a lot.One old idea had for buff ninja survivability was basically to give them phalanx fighting from shield.
This would have been very ironic since it would technically subvert the Law of Ninjutsu Conservation, but hey, it seems cool, right?
But since ninja are melee oriented, that means most of them will be giving eachother max defense buffs for this. -

what's wrong with Basliisk, Lycanus? I mean it does get a little too "Romeo and Juliette-ish" at the end, but the fights were great and the techniques were really interesting.

Only one of the best secondaries for MMs! I don't think I was around for when it was mediocre, but I've always loved it on my AR/trap Corr and my Merc/trap MM. Versatile, busy, and very effective.

we'll see Wes again. He said that time with the special someone is cutting into gaming time. Eventually we as gamers become no longer cool with that. And when that happens, he'll look at her makeup palette on the dresser that his car keys are under that he's been furiously looking for for an hour and think "hey that looks like the color palette in the character creator", and it will all come flooding back. See ya soon dude.

Have a good one, my friend! I'm sorry I didn't get to hop over to Unleashed very often but whatever time I had where it didn't have to be work-safe I spent in-game.
And Congratulations on being all twitterpated! Best of luck to you and she!
(Something tells me you'll be back though) -
Quote:heck yes to -regen!Unless you want a mule for the purple Sleep set for 10% global recharge. It is the cheapest of the purple sets. Other than that, a single Recharge is fine.
But Yeah, I agree that the sleep is mostly worthless -- the 20% Damage debuff is most of the value of the power. The folks calling for a buff to Trick Arrow often request that some -Regen be added to PGA, which makes sense to me. Some -ToHit in there would make sense, too. -
well, it's got a 66% chance for mag2
sleep for 11 seconds.
and a 20% DMG debuff for 20 seconds.
I use /TA on my MM, and I never rely on the sleep, 66% chance for a stinkin' mag 2? bah, I fire it for the DMG debuff. -
Quote:jounin do have that arm-crossbow (which would be yet another awesome costume piece to haveJounin-
Powers: The jounin could be compared to the Zombies Grave Knights... Except Grave Knights have a ranged attack out of the box. In the end this isn't such a big deal since by the time you get your first jounin, you'd have had your first upgrade for six levels, but it Caltrops does not strike me as a decent ranged attack or much in the way of area denial or mitigation.) that does minor damage and -regen. Oh wait, nvm, I get what you mean.
Good call on the 02boost for a wind power, Gale would be a pain though. Freezing rain would be cool, but it would probably replace Rain of Fire, which does the most OSA lighting in /TA user's cases. -
Quote:that would still be just smashing damage. Most would resist it later on. I like the illusion tactics as an idea more since it would entail some psy damage, maybe some confusion/terrorize/holds controls, that's the best part about the T3 ninja, the different damage-type. And for all that is right and good SOME form of lighting an oil slick arrow. Maybe a Rasengan? lol, kidding Sensei.Instead of being the Oni it is now, how about increasing its size to huge and giving it a large iron club (true oni folklore) to use the war mace powerset ? There you have CC from knockdown, big power, big pet since you're fond of size, and you have something completely different from the rest of the set. I still wouldn't really agree with the concept but it would be much more feasible towards your examples of trying to fit some folklore into the game.

well, currently we masterminds are dealing with the melee bug for all pets right now anyway from what I've read. I guess Oni would seem subpar using only his fire sword due to that going on.

well to be honest, as you probably can tell, I was basing it off of the traditional Dom set. ST-immob, ST-hold, Toggle debuff, Location AoE slow/attack, AoE hold, etc. And that does make it look monotonous, you're right
LOL, I didn't even notice the excessive bug feet.
The bees T9 move I was just trying to think of something that could be used from something that already exists (vial of bees), simply cause it would be easy to create.
something more like illusion control where it the control comes from handling the aggro and still doing damage would be better probably -

hmm, sorry Lavar, I think I'm too new to get it.....
