Poison Gas Arrow
Quote:
PGA is a set 60% chance to make something sleep.
I've been enjoying my Fire/TA for a couple of weeks. He's now 35 but I've been noticing that Poison Gas Arrow seems to be broken
In the description is says it's a debuff and it can make targets sleep: It can only be slotted for sleep - and yet I've NEVER seen it work like that. It's an aggro magnet if I use it without mitigating first. Is it WAI or is there something missing (in my understanding or the description): It seems to me it may be much more of a debuff than a sleep - in the same way that say, World of Confusion is more about damage than confuse. Any suggestions, tips, advice gratefully received. |
So chances are you are sending 3/5s of the spawn asleep and the other 40% are shooting you.
It's not the most useful of effects but the -Damage is nice. It's still a pretty skippable power though
well, it's got a 66% chance for mag2 sleep for 11 seconds.
and a 20% DMG debuff for 20 seconds.
I use /TA on my MM, and I never rely on the sleep, 66% chance for a stinkin' mag 2? bah, I fire it for the DMG debuff.
so keep it and don't slot it?

Unless you want a mule for the purple Sleep set for 10% global recharge. It is the cheapest of the purple sets. Other than that, a single Recharge is fine.
Pretty much. Stick a single recharge in there and call it done.

But Yeah, I agree that the sleep is mostly worthless -- the 20% Damage debuff is most of the value of the power. The folks calling for a buff to Trick Arrow often request that some -Regen be added to PGA, which makes sense to me. Some -ToHit in there would make sense, too.
LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)
