Thanks for the advice Tokyo.
To be honest, since I just came back to the game, I will be spending most of my time solo for a while, but I want to be an asset to a team if I get the opportunity to join one.
Sounds like I want my cake and to eat it too, huh.
Anyways, I have created and played probably 6 different prim/sec combos already. I would say my favorite at the moment is necro/thermal.
However, I am concerned that since they are not ranged, will ranged AT's just blow me up without being able to touch them?
Am i right in thinking that? If so, I will probably end up going thugs. -
Thanks Princess.
Could you expand on what you mean by "AT issues"? -
Hi guys and gals. I am just returning to the game after quite the hiatus.
Can someone tell me how I can change my power customizations? I am lvl 8 or so but dislike my current choice. -
Thanks for the replies. I have posted the same question there. The problem is, most pvp'ers don't seem to understand/play masterminds.

Thanks for the replies. I have a good concept for necro/thermal so I think I will go with that build.
Any tips for that specific build? Do you think it has the necessary control for arena and zone pvp? -
Hello there. I'm returning to the game after almost 3 years. I have been doing a lot of reading as of late and it's amazing at how much has changed.
Mastermind was always my favorite AT and concept. I love the ability to solo as I often play on my own. Another thing I used to really enjoy was PvP in Siren's Call. From what I have read, pvp has changed dramatically.
Many threads seem to indicate masterminds are not good at pvp, but it seems it's because of their lack of mobility rather than their lack of survivability.
I myself am somewhat of a min maxer. I don't have a strong preference on primary or secondary. I would however prefer to stay away from robots and do enjoy secondaries that are capable of healing. I also am not afraid of a challenge and enjoy builds with "high skill caps" for what that's worth.
So I ask, which mastermind build would best suit my goals, solo pvp and solo pve? I understand I cant overcome mobility issues entirely, so maybe a build that will allow some control? I understand people slot to prevent knockback now, so that doesnt seem to be an efficient method. Or is it?
It's important for me to come up with a concept for the build as well, but I can probably think of one once I get some feedback on builds.
Thanks for reading and your time. -
